Garden Birds in the Snow | UK Winter Bird Watching

- Overnight snow brought more birds than usual into the garden. The day got off to a bright start but in the afternoon the skies got cloudier and more snow fell. Alongside regular visitors like the Robin, Blackbird and Goldfinch, the cold snap brought species I wouldn't normally see like Blackcap and Redwing.

Wonderful footage 🤗The birds really pop out against the snowy scenery.
Great creator❤❤❤
These non-regular visitors must be coming for the food selections I'm sure you put out for them, especially in winter. Edit - I see the feeders lined up 😁❣️
It was certainly a busy day at the feeders, probably 5 times the number of birds I'd normally see, plus a redwing which I only ever see in the garden when it snows.
Hello. Wonderfull garden birds you filmed. Especially in the snow the birds looking awesome. Greets Stefan

Glad it was helpful and thank you for watching.
Thank you so much for this heart warming video. You have such patience and you get fantastic footage. It’s the first time I’ve seen a Redwing, so thank you for that. Beautiful scenery and exquisite birds. Happy New Year and thank you again 😊
Thank you for your kind comment and a Happy New Year to you too! As soon as I saw it had snowed overnight I was straight out into the garden to film as sometimes one or two relative rarities will visit the bird table when natural food is harder to find. It was great to see the Redwing, although by that time the snow had been falling heavily again and I'd retreated inside to film 😊

You do a wonderful job at filming the many birds. The snow looked lovely too, even from indoors 😊. Thank you and have a lovely weekend.
Thank you for braving the cold to capture our beautiful feather friends in the snow. We have only a couple of Robins, two blue tits, a pair of dunnocks and a wren. Oh and not to forget the whole village of Starlings who can quickly empty the sunflower seeds at the speed of light!
I don't normally get too many starlings but there were a lot around on that day. As you say, they are very good at emptying feeders!
@@MyBirdingYear I am not a fan of glossy Starlings but I will let them off this time. I bet during these difficult freezing cold months they all deserve some extra food to keep them warm and stay alive :)
Is all of this filmed from your garden? If so, you are very lucky to be able to see all these birds at your doorstep. I'm envious. Beautiful sight, love the snow too.
Excellent footage.
We only saw female Blackcaps too. Are the males on a lads only trip to Malaga or the like?
They could be 😊. It was the same last year too, saw a few female Blackcaps over the winter but no males.
I was disappointed not to see any Fieldfares though, as they are usually very reliable visitors whenever the snows hit Kent.
Redwings were good compensation for the lack of Fieldfares though.
Can I get some of these clips to use in a RUclips video? How do I contact you?
