Its nice you didn't skip stuff that a lot of others leave out. Its great for people to see spray style and technique while your doing it. Awesome video! You are extremely talented!
Kind words. Thanks!
Great masking skills brother
These videos has been inspirational. I do have a 2000 ford mustang and will be copying all what you have did to yours minis the trunk
Thanks man. I see light at the end of the tunnel now.
yeah totally cuz that wouldn't be very easy to do.
Fantastic to see it coming together
Great job!!! Which air you use in your devilbiss for base and clear???
Standard compressed breathing air. 30-32 psi for clear, little lower for base. Just check fan and adjust before laying it down. Whatever feels right!
great job, and thanks for the tips. Me and my buddy might but a 2002 Ford Mustang.
Spectacular work my friend 💪🏾
Nice job....
Hell of a job I gave a 99 with some Clear coat problems not sure if that's a problem with the newedge mustangs but it's driving me crazy
They had a few issues. Depends on the color, year, and how much sun it got. I actually had full paint delamination on my composite hood and deck lid. Had to fully strip them and start over
The attention to detail 👌. How did you fill the holes on the trunk spoiler? I want to remove mine too.
I beveled out the holes and used epoxy with masking tape on the underside to hold it until it cured. Then on the top I used a little fiberglass filler. There might be a better product to use to fill the hole since I'm getting some slight shrinking in the holes
Just came across your channel. Smashed that subscribe button
Great video 👍🏽
looks great. how was the orange peel after the clear? I have an 07 mustang I'm about to start body work and paint on. ebony black.
That's clear is high solids and thick. You could get away with reducing it 5% or so, but I didn't. I used a ton of air pressure and choked the gun up.
After 2000 and finer wet sanding, still has a bit of a European clear look which I'm ok with.
What kind of paint did you use? Looks great
Axalta. Which is the cheaper line from DuPont. It's cheaper because they use less expensive toners and pearls to match colors, but since I wasn't matching anything, it worked for me. Thanks
What gets me is when a panel shop gets a perfect colour match with a straight colour.. (WHICH NEVER NEEDS CLEAR). THEN CLEAR COATS THE CAR. .. WHICH ALTERS THE PAINT MATCH CLEAR COAT IS DESIGNED TO PROJECT METALLIC PAINTS !!!!! .. DEVALUE A CAR IN TEN MINUTES !!!!!
Now sure at all what your talking about. It's a base/clear paint system....and I wasn't matching anything.
@@refinedautodesignsI think he isn't talking about your video but commenting on paint shops doing similar work. Buuuut, he might actually think you are trying to color match the panels to the door without reading your description info on drop down. Nice job for a home garage 👍
Nice job Just subbed
Thx man
Nice job! What gun are you using & how big is your compressor?
Thanks. Devilbiss pro lite 1.3 mm tip. 60 gallon 2 phase compressor with a small desiccant dryer.
Beautiful! What compressor did you use?
Thanks. Ingersoll rand 60 gal 2 phase compressor. I think show my setup in the first video on the channel...
Well that's just thing,, u cant take your car in 4 paintjob,, no body shop / collision shop will paint a vehicle unless it's an insurance job, so yes learn how 2 do it yourself no matter how it turns out giving u piece of mind it's getting done at all period
Gimme a gallon of delfleet polyurethane I'll lay it like a mirror
I hate spray booths 🤣
Booths are overrated.
I agree you get the same quality but I never buff shit wet the floor and spray away
Paint mine
