An all around beautiful story of a woman who turned her life around despite the odds.
Kimberly would say she had a very cultured upbringing. With a Korean mother and a family that moved around a lot, she had to learn how to adapt to her surroundings. Although she "partied" hard and often, her addiction didn't feel show it's true colors until she was prescribed prescription painkillers. That's when it went from fun to trouble. Her life became lonely. She was in and out of detoxes and treatment centers, not necessarily against getting sober but also, not fully understanding the disease. When her parents stepped in and sent her to her last and hopefully final center, she found a new reason to get sober and that was through her faith.
Now, with five years sober, she is living a life she didn't think possible. It is full of joy, family, and success. Recently, she has been found her passion in helping other women achieve the same reality, while opening up a recovery home for women.
