God that intro goes so hard
It's not as meme worthy as "What is a man?" but this revised translation with the implication that Richter is already a slave to his faith and Dracula offering him a martyr's death; fuck, I wish that had been in the Playstation 1 release.
@@AncientSlugThrower i actually prefer this version of dialouge especially the part where draculas voice gets distorted at the "die for their sins part" i think dracula and richter sound way better in this version... Not sure about Alucard doe both original and the new one are great i cant really make up my mind which one is better

Just doing what I'm told
Everything about this is incredible. The introductory exchange between Richter and Dracula has the markings of the clash between master morality and (the hero of) slave morality as Nietzsche would put it. Dracula's laughing during a life or death struggle sets him as a reminder of the Joker: a Lord of Chaos who finds the struggle with the hero of Order a true entertainment worthy of his presence. What else would Chaos live for if not to battle Order? And then as the battle intensifies, Dracula sacrifices a part of his soul for ultimate power. The music drops into a deep despair, reflecting Richter's horror as he comes face to face with the true form of terror: Dracula's final form. But then he recomposes himself, does what must be done and defeats the monster.
This truly taps into the roots of what Castlevania is about as much as music really can. It captures this moment perfectly.

If only Konami was still making Castlevanias.. This awesome mix makes me picture a cyberpunk set in the future styled one which could actually be awesome. At this point why not as Konami ain't doing much with the franchise anyways and I definitely would buy a cyberpunk castlevania.
Actually cyberpunk castlevania was the reason the series got cancelled. You ever play that reboot series they did? Where you play as dracula, and dracula was also a belmont and you fought satan and shit? Yeah it's squeakual flung dracula into a scifi setting, but instead of doing cool stuff like dracula climbing on old castles and keeps covered in layers of new technology, most of the game took place in laboratories and underground bunkers. Total snooze fest, from what I've heard. Like you said the idea has a lot of potential, especially if you look into where the lore of the original series goes to in the actual future, what with a global war against dracula that results in a very climactic transformation of the series. If you know you know.

Man it´s a shame you didn´t get more recognition during the synthwave boom a few years back. Electromechanical is a masterpiece with songs like Project D.E.U.S, Cyborg 777 or Monster. Although my absolute favourite is Clayface from the Batman Of The Synth Sampler. Still hoping for another album like this. Keep up the great work!

Maybe its just my bad luck but nine times out of ten, the Castlevania fans I run into have only ever watched the anime and have never played or even heard of the games. They're kind of like the majority of Persona fans, people who claim to know it all but have only watched a single playthrough or two, it's frustrating.
