This sounds exactly like what a Playstation remake of the game would have been in the mid-late 90's and is an outstanding and faithful interpretation of the soundtrack through that lens. Excellent work!
I had meant what I said in more of a stylistic sense, but it it is certainly true that there was a profound shift in the fidelity of in-game audio due to the advent of disc-based media. Midi-based stuff certainly has its charm and its particular vibe that can't be completely replaced, but you gotta love stuff being put out at such a high quality and also hearing what some of those classic older tracks sound like when fully realized in that manner. I always felt that this was a perfect and impressive example of that transition, especially from an unofficial source.
I'm almost mad there isn't a download link for the separate tracks but at the same time this is one of the most breathtaking arrangements of the soundtrack I've heard in some time. You managed to give Big Battle the justice it deserves! Wonderfully done~
PUT. THIS. ON. A. CD This is so amazing and well arranged too! The usage of that VRC-7 synth is just bliss too. With memorable tunes like Beginning, Deja Vu, Aquarius (Was godly!) and Flashback, this brought tears to my eyes. I love your work on this :D
This is beyond amazing! , the mixes, the new chords, the arrangments, everything sound so incredible well, and i LOVE how you mixed aquarius with mad forest (my 2 favorites themes from cv3)
Alright, this is just spectacular! Guitars on some of these tracks does great with making them feel that touch more serious, and hearing the Aquarius bassline from Circle was a treat.
This is amazing! The amount of time and effort you put into this was well spent! Mad Forest was my favorite, (and good job sneaking it into Aquarius, by the way... That was super creative) but all of them were amazing. I almost wish you had uploaded them all separately so I can just loop my favorites, but the whole thing is worth listening to, so I don't mind.
Hi @Model CHP-3Y!!! I would like to thank you for this awesome project, it's one of the best CVIII remixes i ever see so far!! Mane People here seems to ask you for extended versions of these musics, but May I ask you it too?? I'm really craving to play a Dracula's curse Remake I found several years ago, that offer the option to replace the musics with any you want, and would be just awesome to play that game with your musics!! So, there's a possibility of downloading the musics of this playlist and, if possible, with extended versions, at least the ones that plays during stages??? thank you!! for this awesome work!!!!
Haha! I always thought Anxiety was like a lost John Carpenter track but yours sounds like it ran straight out of Gremlins. Love it when artists make me reconsider my ideas.
Incredible. You did an especially fantastic job with Clockwork, turning what was originally a hollow and ominous song into something a lot more pulse-pounding and dread-filled. I also really enjoyed your renditions of Final Battle, Rising, Dead Beat and Deja Vu (love the Castlevania Chronicles/Rebirth intro for that).
I have to say you put a lot of work with the CastleVania III: Dracula's Curse [OST Remixed]. But it was worth it, Wonderful work ChipBoy 👍. What MIDI keyboard, DAW and VST did you use in this masterpiece?
To answer your 3 questions in order, I don't use a MIDI keyboard. I find it much easier to just input the notes by hand. I have a MIDI Plus AKM320 (if I'm saying the model correctly), but I just don't like recording and then quantizing/fixing any mistakes i make. As for DAW, I use FL Studio, primarily. For the guitars/basses, I use Guitar Pro 7. And for VSTs, I usually stick to 8xOsc, NES VST, Fruity DX10, Dexed, GMS, KXSF2-ST, and most recently, FLEX.
@@ModelCHP3Y Wow that's a lot of equipment you have, Thanks, That's all I needed to know 😉. Maybe one day you'll do a OST Remixed of Super CastleVania IV (SNES).
My god this is amazing. I just listened To the guy who mashed up the nes and fc versions in a very “producer” kind of way, but damn. This is soooo good.
Amazing remix of the whole album. I wish there would be separate tracks in a playlist instead of it all in a whole format. What if someone wanted to put this in a fan game, flash video, gmod video, source filmmaker video or even an MMD video? Anyways, excellent remastering.
Without a doubt in my mind this is the best version I have ever heard of Big Battle. I am so happy about this because since I liked the original famicom version it is so hard to impress me with Big Battle.
Could you please to a remix of the OSTs of 1 and 2 (Simon's Quest)? I can't find any full OST remixes anywhere and would love to have a playlist of 1-3 remixed
Mr or Ms "Model CHP-3Y" May I borrow your Castlevania soundtrack, please? I'm going to use this soundtrack to make a soundtrack in Spiral Knights Castlevania Soundtrack of course for free! Please feel free to use it! If there's anything to say... I can do it D=)
Personally, I dont care for this at all. The added sound effects and approach takes away from it. The best soundtrack to any Castlevania game is SCV4. It matches the atmosphere and urgency of the situation. I do love the old tunes, but this is too much. Even the old tunes are a bit upbeat for such a dark situated game. Its like the Belmonts should be doing the 2 step up to the castle keep. Dracula is waiting for a fight, bit Simon is all about shutting the place down with his dance moves.
@@BeeLy1011 On second listen, this sounds better than the usual Yamaha 2612 so it's probably something more advanced like the Sega CD soundfont. The NEC TurbografX 16 sounds similar but might not be quite as refined. In fact as I listen now, I'm fairly sure it's Sega CD. It's comparable to Capcom games like final fight and SF2, but different. Probably check this guy's channel for hints just which one it is.
@@BeeLy1011 If this guy won't share which soundfont he's using here, the only thing I can tell you is check the wiki for how many games are on the Sega CD, and do the finger work of trial by error searching and trying each one.

Glad you're not one of those musician with a "bad ear" for re-orchestration/remix omitting the nuances. Great job!

Beginning, Stream and Deja Vu (Vampire Killer) are best music of the game.
genial que hayas puesto los nombres de cada pieza o.o 👍

The possibility was there-- the sprites from symphony were straight 🔥🔥. The most use the Trevor sprite got was a rom hack of Dracula x
And if there’s something we know in 2023 is that remakes get eaten up by the consumer base and fans
Playstation used real CD track wav audio files rather that FM midi synthesis

This sounds like if Castlevania 3 had a "Chronicles" remake. Excellent Work you Miserable Pile of Secrets!
instant chills
also I like how Epitah includes an actual laugh, I was never sure what it was meant to be in the NES original

Akumajou Densetsu
It's remixes like these that remind me how beautiful these tracks are, all these were so well done, incredible work this was heart warming to hear
Yup. Some of these tracks are basically Michael Jackson level dance compositions. This faithful remaster really shows how great they are.

This is amazing,I can imagine the Super Castlevania 3 fan game using this OST. :)
True,I dont know who will pick it up.
Well, you’re in luck. The fangame was finished recently.
The game Itself feels unfinished, there's a ton of bugs & gltiches etc.
This video is amazing! I got a little bit of a metroid vibe from "anxiety".
Yeah, something from Prime.
I loved that Dead Beat got a fantastic Decap Attack vibe! Great job in all of them! 😁
Absolutely phenomenal work. faithful to the originals, yet delightfully enhanced; didn't go over the top. Just right. Bravo.
The FUNK on this is fantastic, god damn!

Also, "Overture" and both versions of the final boss theme.
I would so love a extended version of 1:54

Wicked as hell. Love Castlevania music and love finding badass remixes like this.
Great interpretation and great work! Especially love how Clockwork, Mad Forest and Stream came out.

Thats for doing this - love these takes on the NES games I grew up with.

Demon Seed
What a Great Remix
This is really good, drums needs more pop and snap. I can imagine alot of these tracks with gojira drum tone! Excellent remix !
Pretty much every Castlevania song can be described by that meme “when the ‘G’ falls off the graveyard sign” and I love it
Beginning
Clockwork
Mad Forest
Aquarius
Deja Vu
Riddle
That Aquarius be slamming tho.
Wow, this is great. Really well done on your arrangements, my friend. I'm definitely a fan now!
deja vu goes ripped af🔥🔥🔥🤝🤝🤝

"Listens to 3:06 Beginning"
Yes.
Yes i will.
Is that a nod to the Transformers transforming sound in Anxiety?
Complete fighter stages&music in Ultimate Smash Bros For Castle.
