No more time travel. That's a terrible idea. Caesar's story is done. Let him RIP.
Agreed. I’m ready for the remake of the original movie.
I agree! The way you worded it though, I can't help but think of Caesar's remains being turned into a Beyblade 🤣😭
When that guy started going into that I was thinking “I could work at screen crush”. He basically hit us with a somehow palpatine returned then just went with it.
*_You took the words right out my mouth._*
@@explore.chill.frankie LMFAO
Traveling back to the past to grab Caesar seems WAAAAAY out there for this more grounded franchise. The originals got really bonkers and weren’t mapped out ahead of time that’s why you got crazy plots like that. Hopefully those plots stay in the past.
Yeah I really want them to go a different direction
Only thing I can think of is the next trilogy after this one starts like that. With the apes jumping in a ship and heading to space just ti end up in a blackhole that leads them to earth back in 2011 before it all began.
yea fr, are they out of their mind?
I think it's very unlikely they'll do backwards time travel. Forward "time travel" is already possible, as explained in the video. the next two movies will be Noah's story and the third trilogy will be Taylor's story.
@John-oo8dn yeah I hope they bring William Taylor in. If they do, who should play him??
Literally they could end this saga with a remake of Planet of the Apes.
From the moment I saw that Rocket news cast back when Rise came out I also assumed that was the plan.
We don't need that at all yet
No they need to resolve it.
New trilogy beginning with a remake of original called Planet of The Apes: NOVA
@@Yanel5795stop. 🤣 🤣 🤣
@Abrakadabro666 you really dont like planet of the apes. What triggers you about it.
I took this video seriously up until when he said Ceasar will not only travel through time but also resurrect
Somehow...Caesar has returned...
Exactly!
😂😂😂😂😂. That was great!
Caesar = Moses, freeing his people from slavery (from the humans, enlightening them), parting the Red Sea (the avalanche in war) and leading them to the promise land, which he never gets to live in as he dies.
Moses is also known as the law giver as he gives the Ten Commandments, similar to Caesar instilling his own commandments that the apes should follow.
I’m glad someone said this. I came to the comments to say something similar
Exactly, he never got to see the promised land
And his people eventually pervert his words in historical fashion
Looking forward to the series moving forward, I hope Caesar’s descendant basically is the nice ones that helped Heston in the original movie
Right. Caesar had two commandments:
• Apes together string
• Ape not kill ape
Rakka knew and honored both. Proximus decided to ignore #2, to his detriment.
Biblically, Noah came first, but ape-wise, Moses came first.
Yep. He’s Moses, not Jesus.
Ridiculous plot. They're not gonna do that. Tell narrator to lay off the ecstasy.
Bro is reaching for the top shelf with this one
I have to disagree with your Christ-figure analysis. Caesar's arc, from being rescued in a basket/raised by the Rulers of the Land, and then leads his people out of bandage, but is unable to enter the promised land because of a personal failure - is Moses. No Jesus required.
why cant they just be looking into space
If you think about it, Caesar is more Moses than anything. He liberated his people from bondage and took them to the promised land and unfortunately did not get to enjoy it.
I agreed
That is factual
At least he spent 10 years of relative peace with his people.
Mae seriously got on my whole nerve in this movie.
Plot twist: Noa is Caesar's direct descendant.
I kinda assumed that when his mom looked at him and said he was different.
They had matching birthmarks, I thought this was a plot point
I assumed Noa is Caesar's descendants the moment i saw him. He looks a lot like Caesar
That could be very possible
I assumed the same thing based on the trailers and Noa's birthmark. It is no impossible some point in time during the past 300 years that a descendant went back to California and settled somewhere at the ruins of LA and established the eagle clan.
How would it be Caesar coming back from space? He died in the previous trilogy. That would require someone to first travel back in time to a point prior to Caesar's death then travel forward in time to Noah/Mays present. Then once again go back in time to bring Caesar to his present. That just seems like a paradox waiting to happen.
Worst theory I've heard yet. More plot holes than Swiss cheese 💩
Its definitely a 'wormhole' for the astronauts to come back. "A tunnel that eats light"
I really didn't think of that... I just automatically assumed the tunnel was the telescope, and "eats light" was the best way Noah could describe how it worked.
Now I'm convinced this was what they meant!
@@dillonfisher7615 but mae knew what a telescope was and she still reacted shocked, I also on first watch thought he was talking about the telescope
@@knockdoubt well that was the point
@@knockdoubt I can't imagine she would've had access to a telescope, despite knowing what one is. She could just be reacting to space
@@dillonfisher7615 Makes sense. At first I was thinking, “Is he describing the telescope? It doesn’t make sense if it makes you see far away.” Him looking inti the telescope on the other end is what made me think that maybe it was the telescope, but still never made sense to me how it eats light😅 Now if there is an explanation do tell!
Seems like a lot of us disliked the idea of a time traveling Caesar. These apes movies are more grounded than previous installments. My theory is that this new trilogy might focus on the debate of whether or not mankind should survive / reconquer the planet. Noah’s goal was to rescue his clan, but along the way he learned how dangerous ideas can be. Proximus with his kingdom for apes and Mae’s retaking the world that was lost. Does the end justify the means?
Cezar was more Moses not Noah
One hundred percent. He freed his people and led them to the promise land.
Exactly. Noah is clearly going to be the Noah figure in this trilogy similar to how Caesar was Moses in the last one.
I agreed
They saw Palpatine bcoz somehow Palpatine returned
Thank you for not spoiling the newest movie just with the thumbnail and title alone. Appreciate you guys. (For anyone who needs it this comment should be read in a very sarcastic tone.)
These are all prequels to the original I bet
I would like to see the 9th film ending with them traveling back to 1972 alternating history to which the OG movies happen.
The spaceship now travels to the future in 1972 instead of 2011, the apes arrive in the past etc.
@@giovannigiovanni.7220 that already exists literally Escape from the planet of the apes
@@giovannigiovanni.7220i could see it leading up to maybe like the remake in 2001 when he goes back in time in the original and they’re all apes in DC with the abraham lincoln statue being a ape
@@professormoo2 The remake is a completely different universe, it doesn't work.
The new movie is still set roughly 700 years before the original
I can see a cure being part of the plot as well. Mimicking the mutated humans from the original movies
I honestly think the people we see at the end are going to become the mutants least that’s what I hope😅
I know what they saw... it's Marky Marrrrk, in SPAAAAAACE!
I think if Caesar was to return it would be as a descendant rather than time travel, but with what the old films pulled I suppose anything is possible. But I feel like the reboot has remained mostly grounded and consistent with its logic and science
Plot Twist: They’re looking at Pericles in his ship from the 2001 film
WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THIS!!!!
There was a scene in the movie where Noa explains that he saw a “light eating tunnel”!!!
Doc Brown finds Ceasar…………
It’s your kids Ceasar, you’ve got to stop your kids from destroying the world! 😳
WHAT A WONDERUL DAY !
Indeed!
That scene had a massive "Can you dig it!?" feel from The Warriors. It was very cool.
It feels far fetched and 9 parts really sound like a lot. But if it’s already planned to have that many more movies in the franchise I guess something as wild as this could be for planned
4 down, 5 to go, so possible 😊
If they bring back the original actors and story from the original film of this franchise by having the astronauts crash in the first of the final three films. This will be the most ambitious sleeper franchise of our times.
I thought he was just looking at saturn, because it looked like noah recognized it when he was in the base
the odds of the telescope being aimed perfectly at saturn or really anything is SO SLIM
I think the bunker humans will get together and use nuclear weapons to kill all the apes. Then the next trilogy will be about the aftermath many years after that. Doubt we'll ever actually get time travel.
I PRAY these movies don't make it a time traveling one. It'll completely ruin it
I really really hope they will avoid all the time travel bullshit in these new movies. They've manged to do it for four movies, I believe they can keep doing it!
Caesar: I'm the main character of this franchise.
Koba: Imma extend this franchise.
I sooo loved this film! Totally a refreshing start of a new era....
Noah seems intent on making a peaceful existence between human and ape. May seems like our reluctant villain. I think this trilogy will explore her path to accepting this new world. That is a major plot point reinforced on screen by her conversations with trevathan and her bringing a pistol to meet Noah at the end of the film.
Marky marks space ship.
Man was cooking till he mentioned Caesar randomly pooping up in the future lol
Colton is out here trying to turn Caesar into “some how palpatine returned”
Ceaser might be coming back. YES, SIR.. they killed him off too fast. Ceaser didn't play no games. Ceaser was a great leader. Love to see Ceaser returning.
I just love it. It’s perfect. Sprinkle in the humans worshipping a nuke in a silo somewhere as a secondary plot thread, a little bit of deformed humans as a filler, and I’m sold. Take my money…
Peace and love but time traveling Caesar would be god awful lmao
Interesting ideas Colton. I'm honestly seeing the Noah character sharing a lot with Paul Atredes from Dune as a conflicted "saviour". I remember watching the original Heston PotA in the late 60s and have always compered these later movies to them.
I even liked the Marky Mark and the Monkey Bunch movie.
Okay it's Noa not Noah 🤔
@@rogermazuca4582 Thanks. Didn't know-ah...
Good point about the Paul Atreides comparisons. I like his journey going from trying to impress his father by going after the to nest to doing what he must to get his clan back and then possibly becoming the defacto leader of the clan. Incredible. 💪
Sequel idea: Apes vs Lizard-men.
Planet of the Apes: AvV >:)(APES Verses V)
We watched Ceasars death and his parents were unintelligent regular apes. There's no way he can come back in time.
My brother and I went to go see this movie on opening weekend. Before the movie started. My brother and I started a chimpanzee war cry. People in the audience joined in and the entire audience sounded like a zoo
Im glad im not alone in hating this guys idea lol. But I feel bad. He seems like a nice guy. Just has terrible movie ideas.
The international space station? Give them something to reach for.. The Stars:)
This whole idea was not good. A time traveling zombie Cesar pulling a back to the future is a bad idea. And it doesn’t fit the more grounded tone these films have now. It would make more sense that the astronauts simply land and literally pull a remake of the first film.
who let Colton out of his box? :)
with all due respect, of course
This makes no sense, we saw him get cremated in the opening scenes. The story line needs to stay believable.
Don’t they actually say they saw a hole that sucks up light? It’s the worm hole the astronauts came through
But how and when did Cesar go to space?
You lost me at caesar coming back lol I was with you til you said that 😂😂😂
Did I miss something?
Caesar died. So how would he be ‘returning’, in a space ship?
Click bait. Notice how none of that came up but in the last 3 minutes. Pathetic.
Maintaining quality content with new hosts isn't easy and you've done it here. Congrats!
You said Kingdom is 300 years in the future so how could those astronauts possibly still be alive after all that time?
Everybody is freaking out trying to connect anything to the 1968 movie... but heck, maybe they're just looking at the stars through the "light tunnel" (Noas' words) and maybe Mae is just part of a survivalist community, living in the satcoms bunker (kinda like Fallout)... just standard POTA life, nothing connected to the original incoming starship yet.
But you need to chose between healthy (Rise), low-tech (Dawn), on the break of extinction or primitive (POTA 1968)... especially this "some humans are primitively dumb, some others are as untouched" thing doesn't really seem plausible. That's pretty much my only bad thing to say about Kingdom.
9 Movies?!?! That's Banana's 🍌🍌🍌🙈🙊🙉
Noah and Caesar had the same bald spot on their chests
Cesar = Adam.
Adam walked with God in the garden (pre fallen Earth) Cesar walked with man in the prefall Earth.
Cesar learns the knowledge of good and evil when he becomes self aware.
When Eve eats the fruit she "dies" and Adam joins her.
When Cesar's wife dies, he falls into war.
Noa is Noah.
Survives a flood, his descendants are building towards heaven and will fight their creators.
It makes more sense for Noa to shift into an Abrahamic or Moses figure in the next two movies.
In a sense he was already kind of a Moses figure, he led his people out of slavery after meeting "God" (the teachings of Cesar).
Cornelius and Zira had a son called Milo, Milo renames himself as Caesar. Everything else is conjecture and assumption .
That’s cool and all but this movie literally opens with Caesars funeral and his body lit on fire
Who the hell will play Charleston Heston? Marky mark?
I think humans going to learn how to be an Ape and then somehow repeat the cycle and rule again
We don't need an Apes Genisys movie. That was enough of a mess with the Terminator franchise.
That all just made my head hurt …. Tried to follow but got lost about halfway through 😅
“A tunnel that eats light” sounded just like a Wormhole to my nerd’s ears to be honest 😅
I'm sure others have probably already posted this, but I always saw Caesar more of a Moses character. Just a thought. ---- As for Noah (the ape), he is just Luke Skywalker. Spoilers for both films... A boy with father issues yearns for something better, is forced to leave home after violence arrives on this doorstep, he meets a wide old teacher character along the way who teaches him about the old ways, but then the mentor is killed. The boy needs to save others from the villains clutches, and finally has to destroy the bad guys fortress which has powerful weapons, and in the end learns he had a special ability in him all along! --- To be fair, this film is just doing the classic hero's journey, just like Star Wars did. But there are similarities! 😀
Noa being the Anakin of the apes franchise honestly would way more interesting than just making him another Caesar-like figure. In-universe it would create a much bigger rift between the ideologies of apes of future generations.
But that Caesar resurrection shit is a TERRIBLE idea. Absolutely not.
Noah will probably be the ancestor of Thade.
No time travel backwards. Only relativistic travel forwards.
Not enough time has passed to make intelligent humans go virtually extinct. So it's too early to introduce time travel. But it's not too early for the humans to cause a nuclear event that leaves a final few living with radiation mutations.
9 movies is ruin it. They should've planned one more where the surviving humans fuck up and kill almost all that are left in a final attempt to take back control of earth. And then we can just imagine Heston crash landing and follow the original series to it's end.
Cesar being brought into the future from the past would only work in a Elseworlds story. Not in this franchise.
As much as I’d love to Caesar again I’d have to say no this is not it
I think we will only get 2 more films, and it will bring it back full circle to the original film.
I absolutely hated the idea of Caesar returning and still do BUT I do like the idea of playing with the theme of how they would treat the one they worship if he actually returned. I just don’t wanna see them ruin everything this franchise has built with these last four films.
Caesar is Moses. There are nods to the Exodus in the previous prequel trilogy and to Cecile B. DeMile Ten Commandments which starred Charlton Heston (star of the original Planet of Apes). The way he is referred to as the lawgiver, how he never got to be in the promised land.
What you do get correct is Noa being like his biblical namesake. But who knows in the end. The key thing seems to be that like in Genesis, when Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil in Eden, knowledge while gives you power, can also bring about the worst of a species: greed, desire, etc.
The people who don’t think it’s a space colony are actually rock head
no chance
Please…don’t bring Caesar back. He’s earned his rest
They saw human civilization outside of earth at the end of the movie.
Caesar wasn’t Christ by the end of the first trilogy, he was Moses, leading his people out of slavery and dying within sight of their new homeland
As long as the money is there, they will continue the series. I hope it maintains the same high standards of storytelling it has to date. I feel you are on the right track with your predictions. I recently did a rewatch of all things Ape and discovered some strong parallels that can’t be denied. Ultimately, I think they are retelling the entire saga but from a more grounded perspective. The first trilogy basically covered Conquest and Battle from the original series along with elements of Escape and Planet. I think this current trilogy will retell Beneath with the underground mutant humans with telepathic abilities being replaced by the remnants of humanity hiding in bunkers joining together against the Apes. Then the final trilogy will in essence be Planet of the Apes and elements of Escape with the Icarus mission returning in some fashion and the time travel elements of the story kicking in. I agree that it would be very interesting to have Caesar return instead of humans. We shall see what happens…. Hopefully 🤞 Thank you for the great breakdown and theories!🙏
“Biblical myth” ..bro that’s truth.
I’m convinced screen crush just comes up with these ridiculous theories just to piss people off and get engagement in the comments. Mission accomplished boys, we’re going home!
Time travel would completely ruin all of the movies and what they are meant to be.
Really didn’t subscribe for a Sunday school lesson
This felt like the perspective of the people on the planet while the astronaut is sleeping in space. Kind of connecting to the original series.
Many thanks to Colton, Harriet, Randolf, Brianna and Lee! 🦧
Caesar wasn't Noah; he was Moses
I’m absolutely thrilled for the next chapter in the Planet of the Apes saga! The anticipation is killing me! 🎬🐒
Caesar was Moses, not Noah. Freed his people and led them to the promised land but died before entering it.
can someone drop some food into Colton's TV please? Man's looking pale
I appreciate your imagination, but these speculations became wild at the end😂😂
Caesar could have a twin brother eho traveled onto space with the missoon from the first movie. Hed be just as dmart as his brother and have worked snd lived alongside humams his whole life.
My man went off the deep need with his theories 🤣🤣some of his ideas were way to far fetched.
5 more movies, 3 - 5 years in the making. Could be here for 25 years
Oh my god I’m dyingggggg bro started yapping shit at the end omg
Everyone has assumed the new trilogy was going to come back to the original films... and make it from the OG style. not a new idea.
Leave Ceasar alone He went out like a BOSS like Stark.
