I wonder if the short white dress was made to be worn over a sleevless long dress in a different color ? Maybe in a pink or blue or mint ? That would actually look super pretty under the white lace ❤

And thank you for showing us the Ggmams opera showl, saying she was an opera singer! my Ggmam was only a wife of a simple taylor chairman, but born in 1900 and exactly the foto of her as a baby with women of two elder generations before her, dressed in their fashion, led my to my love to this time and to this fashion. You could also purchase a redthreaded corset. They hand make them for every era of corsettry. They are expensive but you could save up for one since your vintage moatlikely costs a lot as well.

Michelle, just caught the end of this video. The second white coat you modeled I believe to be early edwardian,1902 to 1908 because it's battenberg lace mixed with other laces. battenberg vests and coates were very big at that time. I am blessed to have an entire gown of Battenberg lace in my collection from about 1906 a good friend of mine got married in it it was so beautiful to see her in it. I hope to have my own youtube chanel soon to share my collection. have a wonderful day!

You should totally learn to sew. I made my own 1890s corset and it's one of my favorite things I've made. It feels so good on my aching back. The shorter dress is definitely made to.have a layering effect. You should totally get or make some pastel colored underrepresented. They would be beautiful.under the crisp white.
