I think my favourite is dark type They just usually look cool. Look at Weavile, Yveltal, Zoruark etc. Although, I do admit that a lot of ground types look cool too, krookodile (one of my favourites), nidoking, rhydon, Zygarde 100%

Seeing videos on the 3ds games is a nice refresher, so many hardcore nuzlocke videos are the gen 3 games and occasionally gen 4 and 5. As somebody that didnt start playing pokemon until Gen 4 and really getting into the games in gen 6 it makes me happy to actually see the modern games being played.
I actually just did a challenge run in Y! Yes Shauna says she’ll heal you, but you need to talk to her to activate it. It’s not like Gen 4 with partners and how they do it automatically after every battle, which is stupid
Great pokemon spawns, great location, an mega evolutions... but the characters... god the gym leaders, rivals, an evil team just makes an amazing game feel so bland, boring, an straight up goofy

Question: Did you have some self imposed challenge to use EQ as little as possible? Even with a type boosting item, EQ would do more than Crunch or Dragon Claw if both are super effective. (IE using Dragon Claw on Tyrantrum and Crunch on Chandelure.) Great video either way, keep on Nuzlocking!

Pokémon X and Y I had been playing around with a rule set in my head for a while now, My idea tho for for a Hardcore Nuzlocke rule set (not mono type) with the obvious hardcore rules but since all the Gym Leaders have 3 mons and none use a mega. I was gonna do Gym Battles max 3 mons on my team and only able to use a mega in a battle where the opponent uses a mega
I like this, and implementing a rule where I use the level cap to match each level of the gym leaders mons too. So like 17,18,21 my level cap isnt 21, its 17,18,21 to match the leader.
This was pretty fun to watch. Don't think you did X/Y yet, so this was nice to see. Record's now 24/5. The shiny Nidoking was awesome to see, as well. I think you oughta try an OR/AS challenge next.

Would love a wonder trade hardcore nuzlocke for this gen. Not sure how active the game still is though, might be hard to pull off without doing a live stream where you ask viewers to spam trades. Would be lots of fun though.
Im actually doing a wonderlocke of this gen now and honestly, the wonder trade game is still pretty good! If anything it's almost a little better - I've gotten a few stinkers here and there, but I've gotten a lot more starters, breedjects, fossils, rare egg moves, ect. I personally try and do my part by breeding version exclusives and Pokerus mons. Still very viable in my opinion!
Neat. With this, Silph only needs one type and one more region to go through to cover all games. He still needs to do a Fairy monotype run and still needs to do a run in the Alola region. Would be neat to see him do either of those two next, or better, both at the same time.

Burmy is always mono-Bug, actually, regardless of form. It only gains its Grass, Ground, or Steel secondary type after evolving into Wormadam. Even allowing for Pokémon that *eventually* gain the Ground typing, your Burmy was male, and thus would have evolved into Mothim (Bug/Flying) instead of Wormadam.

In a nuzlocke it's probably preferable, if you want your guts pokemon to stay poisoned, or if you want your dead party member to stay dead, etc.
