Since it;s an AirBnB goal, go with a counter-depth fridge (24" x 24" x some tallness). Based on the way it was shot in the video, I reckon it will make that space feel less crowded.

Agreed... part of it is probably just the wide angle camera lens, but I've definitely been frustrated by the "oven door blocks the fridge" kitchen layout before.

"My brain is going a million mile per hour" statement at the end is redundant - I got that vibe that from minute one. That's what I love about your channel! Stay positive, you definitely got this. ...and Oh yeah, "Where's Kelly?"
Long time podcast listener here: very excited to see this happen. Great job in the 1st episode. I want to see it be a huge success. I strongly recommend going forward not to mention, apologize, or caveat "not getting into remodeling". Just take people through the story. If you hired someone to refinish the floors, great. Consider describing who you hired, why they were the right ones, show 10 secs of footage of stuff happening, then walk us through the result and what you're happy with, etc. Bring us along and maybe don't say "I'm not going to show you all these parts", that's pushing away. I promise there is amazing content in this journey in the parts you're not as personally comfortable with--and there you just have to tell the transformation story, not even do the work.

You got this! When you believe in yourself, you’ve won the battle. 20 years ago I decided I wanted to build my own house. I drew up my plans, went to the bank with my plan, got my loan and built my own 2500 sq ft log home. Start to finish it took me nine months while still working full time. I did everything except for the HVAC and a few of the plumbing items. I knew I could do it and I did. Can’t wait to follow the journey.

I suddenly want to add Toledo to my future vacation plans.
If I'd be living in this house I'd what the laundry room to have a table for folding clean laundry and a place to hang clothes until they can be taken to the bedrooms.

I love this idea! I grew up in Toledo and my dad who still lived there just passed away. It's exciting to have something that could be an opportunity for me to build new memories in Toledo.
Looking forward to the project. Would still like seeing the progress on all the tasks, even the things like the floor sanding. I see water damage on it, so will be interesting to see the solution. I'm an IT guy, always been a woodworker enthusiast, and I've got 32 rentals. So much applies to me, so begin, can't wait!.

I like the idea of buying a house as a business expense for a RUclips channel. Nice write off. Excited to watch this series!
If you want to rent it out earlier, you can furnish it with 100% Ikea type stuff and replace the furniture as you create it.
That has an extra benefit of replacing something that gets purchased by a visitor with the default Ikea stuff so there isn't a "hole" in the house's furniture right after someone buys something.
