  • The Prime Minister faces what could be an uphill task to persuade financial markets, Tory MPs and voters that she has what it takes to succeed, just 38 days since she entered Downing Street.
Liz Truss has insisted she will stay on as PM to see through her "mission" to get the economy growing.

And therefore help recover Sterling. Anyone in Government had no controls over market pricing dynamics. Not Sunak or Jeremy.

She is clueless and she was the cream that rose to the top. When will power be given to the capable rather than the self-serving over-educated?
Example: Earning should have been more scandanavian....increase personal allowances to 20k and start whacking people on over 300k...80% type of whack. Heating...graduate the therm rate from VERY cheap for the first 1000 GBP, then ramping up until we get to a point were people who can easily pay must dig deep. Most of them are there because of the generosity of the last 30 years.
There needs to be a "this is going to be painful for the wealthy for a short period" statement. I don't think anyone would begrudge her stating the blindingly obvious and protecting the population. How she thinks growth will happen for the next 2 years is ridiculous and the reason she's in this mess. The world needs to reset and start again post inflation. Guide the ship for that period rather than dashing on the rocks by going too fast too soon.

Female narcissists who’s by aging suddenly discovers their abilities to swap maybes to men paying with protection face sudden frustrations. They get confused, like Truss.
Truss only have the skills of pretending, and being chef of words salads, and slowly the reality creeps in on her while looking around: No one is capable of saving her.
The party’s solution will be to peck her behind closed doors until she leaves. Latest within Tuesday next week. (Truss will remain clueless of what’s happened, the same way as she is clueless spouting words and acting isn’t leadership.)

Maybe in many ways it was best the Queen did not live to see the chaos now unfolding under new Prime Minister Liz Truss. She would have been so disappointed, dismayed and shocked that the country she served so well for 70 years seemingly fall to pieces.
But I agree she had the misfortune in her last act of serving the country was to appoint a Prime Minister who in so short a time has made all previous Prime Ministers - Johnson, May, Cameron, Brown, Blair, Major, Thatcher, Callaghan, Wilson, Heath, Douglas-Home, MacMillan, Eden, Attlee, Churchill, Chamberlain, Baldwin, McDonald, Asquith, Lloyd George, Bonar Law, Disraeli, Gladstone, Walpole and the rest - look very good, if not great in comparison.
