That last stretch of track from the Parham Rd overpass to just south of the Hermitage Rd crossing was one of my old haunts as a kid growing up in Henrico. The track that veered off to the southeast led straight to a building behind Holladay Elementary and was a great place for us kids to have adventures back in the late 80's.
Here's hoping you can do the rest of the run. . Monthly I take the run to and from Rocky Mount and DC. Would like to capture it on video but usually don't get good footage from side windows that are usually dirty. Great videos, keep em coming.
norman mckenzie All I have left is a re-shoot of Richmond to Petersburg and then Collier Yard to Rocky Mount. The latter will need to have a mid-point battery change because one charge won't make it. GoPros eat batteries like popcorn.
Awesome........ Ashland and the surrounding area is my neck of the woods! Love the place, and awesome rear footage!

Is that your run from Fredericksburg to Selma?
norman mckenzie Yes, I take Train 79 twice a year to Greensboro...or I did, that might change, but I'll be on it again at some point.
Train 79 doesnt stop in Ashland, blows by the station at 10:06
At 2:19, the RF&P crosses the Buckingham Branch (it will always be the C&O to me)(route of the George Washington).

With a car full of passengers, somebody is liable to be sick. Deal with it.
