Love the new papah! Welcome Donato!
This new guy is like when the neighbor wants to come over to your Tios bbq, he's different but a cool guy
Funny that some of these fruits are exotic to them while I grew up eating most of them. These are some things you don't really think about or appreciate as much because you just take it for granted... Great video!
Where are you from? 😊
@@Elle-vm3ge Costa Rica!
Qué afortunada eres!
@@Elle-vm3ge gracias!🥹
loving donato's energy
Happy to hear Donato's comments. And I loved the Mother in Law papaya comments followed but the "this is good.'
What happened to the other guy with Glasses that made everything sound small. “Cafesito, Dulcesito, Sabrosito, Pansito” 🤔
Pobrecito perdio el trabajito.
@@timothypeters7748 Es porque le daba un 10 a todita la comidita.
Papacito is on Spring Break
This new guy is not Mexican.

I knew Donato looked familiar 😭 Best English profesor 🙌🏻 thank you for passing me at SAC😂☝🏼
Santa Ana college?
😂😂😂 *YALL DID THEM DIRTY WITH THAT UNRIPE MAMEY/SAPOCHE. THEY ARE BOMB SMOOTHIES!*
Exactly my thoughts. Mamey is delicious, almost as soft as papaya. If it wasn't sweet or soft, it wasn't ripe.
Donato has plenty of good things to say. I’m impressed.
Donato gives me a “final boss” vibe….lol
LOL they gave him the rest of the Durian
Durian is almost always misrepresented in videos outside of Southeast Asia because of the use of crappy frozen stuff that is underripe and of unknown variety. Get some proper durian instead, maybe a "cat mountain king" or "D24" one.
The Jackfruit looks underripe as well, it should have a slightly chewy texture and definitely not "like an apple".
Black thorn and Musang king durian varieties are good too.
You're right, Jack fruit should be chewy, floral scented and very sweet taste❤
Papahs are amazing! Keep up the good work ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m Central American countries (El Salvador) el Mamey is also Zapote! Fun fact: the seed of the Zapote can be used to extract its oils and is said to help with hair growth. I’ve always wanted to love Dragon fruit but it just doesn’t grow on me.
I dunno if maybe I've missed it in previous videos of it was there, but I love the progress bar. Kudos to whoever added that
You guys should try the yellow dragon fruit is very sweet, and the mangosteen and the rambutan fruit is delicious and also the rose water apples as well.
mangosteen is sooo good
Let’s goo, always forget if it’s Wednesday or Thursday you guys make videos ha. Get pumped when I see a new one pop up haha
Shout out to Donato!! He’s a English lit professor in Santa Ana, Ca 😎🤝🏼
I love mamey in milkshakes. It's delicious.
Star apple, Asian pear, kiwi berries, sugar apple, lychee, yellow dragon fruit
Donato is Cool👍🏽
I absolutely love Durian so much that it made me happy to see the papahs finally try durian
I love your videos😊
This was my favorite episode yet!
Fruits like those are super common in Indonesia. ❤
❤❤❤❤ *IM ASIAN AND LEARNT THAT GOLDENBERRIES ARE EXOTIC FRUITS FROM SOUTH AM TODAY CAUSE THEY ACTUALLY GROW IN FRANCE AND PEOPLE PUT THEM ON CAKES* 😂😂
Excellent video!!
The mamey was underripe
Mamey is more red than orange when it’s ripe, this one wasn’t even close to being ready. Ripe mamey is 🔥
Donato is def giving NY vibes 😅
We have soursop here in the US. On the east coast we call them pawpaw fruit. They only stay ripe for a super short time before spoiling so it's a big deal to get a nice bushel of them. The taste is so sweet and delicious and the texture is like pudding. It's like a banana and a mango had a baby. So good.
Jackfruit is good shredded up and cooked with barbecue sauce. It is like pulled pork.
"carnitas" tacos with jackfruit
no its better as a fruit, leave pulled pork alone please
@@fmfdocbotl4358 That's a good idea 😋
@@MacieRivera a vegan friend of mine made them and they were great.
12:38 I agree. Soursop has such a unique flavor. In juice, it hits you like whoah! What is this? And in a good way, refreshing, one of a kind. In a fruit, eaten fresh, it’s delicious. And it’s healthy ah. I wish soursop is more accessible here in the US because it has so much health benefits.
Yeah, mamey is very good in smoothies. With a hint of vanilla scent! :V
By the way, if someone comes to you saying that they know how to pick a ripe mamey... They're lying! :V
Jackfruit? "yaca" in México. It's really good, but definitely ood looking fruit XD
As Don Donato says, "pitahaya" is the name we give in México to the dragon fruit. Icecream made with it is just crazy...
Hey, hey, hey, that "carambolo" (starfruit) isn't ripe yet XD
You need to let them to turn a little brownish on the edges. Fresh water made with it it's on a whole new level. My mom maks atole with it :3
Guanaba (soursop) have a taste very good but hard to describe, really need to taste it yourself. If you ever come to Puebla city, try some fresh made sodas (refresco, as we say) with that flavor in a small bussiness named "Refresqueria Carmen" in Calle 2 Nte 611.
And, as the passion fruit, the soda made with it was "sensao" by the Coca Cola Co. You can still find them in México city, at least in the Centro Histórico.
Saludos desde Puebla.
I love to watch them while I eat
I like the new Latin Dad he’s got good energy he’s enthusiastic
It's funny when the dad said to add taijin to the star fruit because that's exactly how I like to eat it too! lol
I tasted the Star Fruit in Guam. But they called it Star Apple! 😊😊😊😊
Thank God I live in Indonesia, because here we have all of these fruits ❤❤
I haven't tried any of these. I see them in some of the countries I visit but have never been brave enough to try them!😁
My carnales need to go to La Michoacana and get the maracuya ice cream.
I didnt know that was a thing like a bucket ?
Arturo's right! Golden berries & tomatillos are both types of gooseberries. So it makes sense they'd taste similar
I think the last one is cherimoya, soursop is bigger, more spikey and less sweet.
Love Vicente. Hope he will be back soon
I really wonder what they do for work since they are typical Mexican dads but speak English very well
I like the new guy.
I like how there are about 7 people saying "first" when they were 12th.
The "golden berry" is a ground cherry. And it's in the nightshade family. So it is related to tomatillos and tomatoes. Those weren't fully ripe. There really sweet and not tart at all when there fully ripe. Those husk were greenish and not fully brown
The new guy is funny.
❤ yay to the dada
Had no clue what Mamey was until they pulled out a zapote 🇸🇻
I want them try different salsas especially spicy ones 😊
Passionfruit: Straight from the pod is yummy, especially with sugar. We had a tree/vine in our yard, lots of passionfruit drinks on Sunday. Big up my fave, jackfruit! 🇯🇲
A majority of these fruits grow well in Jamaica, tropical fruits will tropic l O l
You should have had Mangosteen in this video, the Queen of Fruit
Durian is my favorite! Will put it in refrigerator. It tastes just like a vanilla ice cream 😍🍧
Where is the dad with the glasses ???????? He is so cool
THEY NEED TO TRY DOMINICAN FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴
Have you ever tried mangosteen? it is at the same level as soursop or maybe higher. it's very delicious.
Those passionfruit were not ripe enough, lol. They have to be slightly mottled, almost like a hammered metal texture.
Jackfruit is an amazing fruit, the seed pods are really sweet, like candy and you can use the cooked white 'flesh' as a substitute for chicken or meat in general in a dish. That's probably what he is talking about when his wife cooks it. :)
Lemon and tajin make everything better!!!
Donato looks like my abuelo
Saludos para el compa Tiberio
It's interesting to see these fruits labeled as "exgotic" because they're growing in out yards here in Guyana 🇬🇾 Loved this episode🫶🏼
Omg professor Donato!!!
These Papahs! comparing everything to apples and bananas 😂
Please do Mexican dads rank Hispanic musicians
Dragón fruit is My favorite 😋😋😋😋🐉🐉🐉🐉
Say it with me "pitaya"
If you think Durian smells when it's already been cut up and sitting a bit, you should smell it when first cut it open! It's banned in many public places even in Asia.
Man! A good number of these fruits grow in Mexico. These dads need to get out of the hood more often.
Golden berry aka ground cherries
The last fruit is not a soursop. It’s a cherimoya!
Gotta love how they compare a lot of the fruits with an apple texture, lol. StartFruit or the jackfruit isnt close to an apple texture..
With the exception of jackfruit which is native to Asia, most of the fruits are either native to Mexico and Central & South America and sold in markets in Mexico.
cold durian would be good with people who new to durian
awe. Wish they wouldve tried mangosteen
If you blender the dragon fruit mix it with soda water it tast freaking amaziiiing
Gracias' Séniors! Muy bueno. I love the Dragon fruit with honey and tajin, mmm! It also has one that has a red fruit but for some reason I can't find it here. It's much better, dulce. Also, the Sweet Sop, I know it by Cherimoya. They are my favorite! I can't find it here anymore. Muy triste. Maybe you could send me some! ¿¡Si!? Muchos gracias for this one as it helps me know the flavors. Unfortunately, here in Nuevo Mexico we have little selection of unique foods. Lots of green and red chile! The best in the world. The only is from here. Maybe we could trade some foods, no!? Ah, I found out soursop and cherimoya are different! Que tengas un buen dia amable caballero!
You showed a picture of a soursop but you gave them a cherimoya. Same family, different species. Soursop has a different textture, and it's sweeter, therefor more delicious. In fact it is one of my favorite fruit here in the Philippines. We call it guyabano here.
new papah gives me like cartel boss vibes
Some of them can be found easily in my area that I didn't know they are exotic😅.
As for durian...you either love it or want to throw it dow a garbage😅.
Advice from Indonesia, if you are a durian and you don't like the lingering taste and smell on your hand ,use the husk.like a bowl, add water to it then clean your hand with the water, and use that husk as drinking bowl as well, it Will get rid of the smell and the lingering taste from your mouth plus if you developed a taste for it be ware,to much Will make you drunk, use the husk method,it work well and never eat durian on a empty Belly
In my country, in some profince, they eat the soft part of the husk, and the seed, some time they boil it or throw it in a fire and they eat the inside part
Same goes with the Jack frui seed, as for the flesh, when ITS ripe we eat it as is, but when ITS not ripe we like to make chips or cook it in a stew and it taste great
the last one looks more like a "chirimoya"...the guanabana is bigger
I'm Mexican and we have access to most of those "exotic" food
My Mum likes Sour Sop & wants my Wife to grow one
Just a heads up that was a cherimoya and not a soursop.
very common fruits in my country
Which of these fruits is your favorite?
DRAGÓN FRUIT 🐉🐉🐉🐉❤️❤️❤️❤️
durian
Dragon fruit and longan
Would any of you guys be willing to practice full contact karate? You said that you would try anything once. But it only takes once, to loose your teeth. Lol
Isn't that a custard apple? It doesn't look like soursop, soursop is kind of stringy, kind of like cook jackfruit.
I don't think the last fruit was soursop, it is more like a chirimoya or custard apple.
Durian is only good when you have it fresh. The best ones are from Malaysia. The ones in the US are probably frozen.
waw
Damn, now I need to research where I can find fresh sour sop fruit..
edit: Jeeeez over $100 for just 3lbs if you order online. I doubt there are any markets near me that have it.
You forgot cojotes...they are the bomb to eat....
Change the title to dad's try exotic fruit...cuz these dad's have tried some of them already in one form or another...
6:05 why he sound like he has a Indonesian wife 😂😂
I’ll go down on all of them 🙂↕️
The mamey looks like a naseberry, but larger. I bet theu are cousin, well, naseberry isnt dry
