(two of my fav cuisines)
The boiled dumpling is served with the ackee you can serve it with other boiled or fried food like breadfruit or plantains. The curry goat can be serve with jamaican rice and peas or white rice with plantains. I really hope they jerk the chicken with pimento wood and lot of walkerwood jerk sauce .Love my island so much!!!!!
Some of the facial expressions said something different, so I really applaud Mamah! for keeping the video positive. I really enjoy eating mostly all of Jamaican food. That fruit cake is kind of hard core but my niece absolutely loves it!
This is exactly how it went in my house with my Jamaican father and Mexican mother. Awesome seeing it from a different perspective.
As a Jamaican,loved this.
Sorrel is the same flower as Flor de Jamaica. It just prepared in a different way with spices (allspice, cinnamon and star anise)and fresh ginger for Christmas. Some people ferment it like ginger beer or serve it with white rum but I am not one of those.
This is literally my family. My Jamaican family has married into a Mexican family and Christmas time is very delicious.
Everything looked so good. I need to find a Jamaican restaurant and hope those dishes are on the menu.
Very fitting as both countries are known for their spicy food
I am Black American and jamaican food is one of the best meals in the world especially brown stewed red snapper. I love all jamaican food.

As a Jamaican I love this ! 🇯🇲however, I’ve never eaten curry goat with boiled dumpling or what we would call “food” aka ground provisions ( yam, green Banana etc ) with curry chicken yes but not curry goat…. Side note… black cake with white frosted icing ( usually made for weddings ) is 🔥🔥🔥🔥😂
I never had curry goat and boiled dumplin either! I was like what? Curry goat and white rice is a MUST with a side of sliced pear (avocado) 😆
Are you even Jamaican or just someone with relatives from Jamaica
@@Legend-lc9bv If he can make that distinction, he's Jamaican

My dad's side is from the Caribbean, I've never seen a dumpling like that with the goat...my grandmother made the dumplings rolled and thick cut then boiled in the gravy of the goat...yum
