Hey Sofia, Thank you a lot. I had limb salvage surgery too and it was so helpful to just listen to someone knowing the struggles, hopes and daily life. Thank you. It helps me, because at the moment I’m oftentimes pretty frustrated because of immobility and pain.
Just finished my last chemo stay 2 days ago I had the same surgery btw lots to relate to but it’s so rare that very few people have the same exact surgery
I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma when I was 17 on 2011. My cancer was in my right knee as well. They replaced some of my femur, tibia and a Full knee. It took me about a year and a half on crutches to learn how to walk again I did not get physical therapy because they were scared that they didn't know what they were doing. So what I did on stretching my leg and bending in and out with the scar tissue that you were talking about I just used a towel and just forced myself little by little over the course of six months before I was able to put pressure and figure out how to walk again. I have a really big problem on hills for some reason walking up hills super hard for me. I don't really exercise it at all and I still have a gimp that people can notice.
Alexander Howell hi dear how are you now? is just my son 15years old he diagnosed this July osteosarcoma we refused the chemotherapy treatment..I would love to hear from you what you did it will help us a lot hope to hear from you soon! Thanks
@@dorisadolfo3005 Please reply to me, and see my other comments. Your son is old enough to make an informed choice!!! The decision should be his, and his alone. However, I would have refused chemotherapy and all treatment if I was in HIS place!!! You have made a most wise decision, I feel sorry for youngsters who are forced into cancer treatment by their parents. I would call it child abuse!!! You were smart to keep away from chemo-shit. Those toxic chemicals can maim and damage for life, and have even caused......death!!! You have made the right choice, how is your son? Please see the revolting case of Cassandra Callender who was forced into chemo.
@@dorisadolfo3005 Again Dorris, you made the RIGHT choice!!! Oncologists make a commission on chemotherapy, and they peddle you with false hope!!! Doctors and drug companies are not bishops, but ruthless money-men. Your son may have "lived" for a few years, but his quality of life would have been appalling. Go and see a children's cancer ward, you made the right decision.
My brother (18years old) also got osteosarcoma, and got tumor in his right leg right below the knee diagnosed on 31st August 2020, he has been done with 2 dose of chemotherapy and the doctor have suggested operation on the 14th of April 2021 but that's risky and more than 90% chances are to remove the leg below the knee🥺😭, Can anyone here share there experience by which he can be saved from removing his leg plz?
Hey. If you don’t mind me asking, how are you doing now? My daughter has LSS back February and I’m trying to see how people who had this done a while ago are doing
Hi there, which stage cancer did you have? How big was the tumor? I have been diagnosed with osteosarcoma as well and starting chemo next week so your reply would be much appreciated.
Reaching out to you! How are you? I remember when osteosarcoma was so new! So much fear. So many unknowns. You are loved and supported! I hope you feel that. We really reached out to other young people who were going through the same thing and it meant so much to us to have that connection. Keep up the good fight of bravery!!
LZ; The pain is not worth the gain!!! You will "live" for a few years, but your life will be miserable. I had an osteosarcoma scare many years ago, when amputation was mentioned, I told them to fuck off!!! Oncologists peddle false hope in order to obtain your money. Please see the revolting case of Cassandra C. All the best, please reply to me.
@@sachinjohn4424brother!!! I am so glad you’re doing well today. My daughter had LSS in February and finished chemo in June and I’m trying to see how other folks who went through this are doing long term
Hey! How's everything going for you now? I got a bone tumor called gaint cell tumor in my left knee and my dr want me to get a limb salvage. But I'm afraid, afraid of being limited. I'm still young and love to train. Love from Sweden.
