  • During a trial run, the Vande Bharat train clocked 180-183 Kmph but it remained so stable that a glass filled with water to the brim remained as it is. A video shared by the Southern Railways showed that glass did not shake even when the train was running at such high speed. Watch!

      320 kmph Shinkansen trains are on the way once Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR is complete. More such HSR lines in India to follow.

      @@abymathew295 Yes I agree, but as Nilanjan said building excess is also not good. In China, many useless and loss making HSR lines are rising China's debt. There are still 600 million people in China who earn less than 1000 Chinese Yuan(approx. 12000 INR) per month. So not everyone in China can afford all these HSR trains. And over the years they will further increase debt as maintenance of HSR lines is extremely costly even over the years. There is a reason why Japan and European countries built HSR, but not mindlessly like China. They need to be built based on feasibility.

      Not to support anyone
      And keeping myself away from politics and all the incompetency that guy has shown in my own state, which is Bihar.
      He did some things which were good for IR.
      Like making Railways profitable by increasing the efficiency of freight movement and increasing Railway's share in freight movement and that was a significant improvement.
      Just saying.
      And well you can obviously point out 100 other negatives as well which obviously he didn't do right.

      But this is reality that during Lalu ji ministry railway in profit, world top universities came in india for case study. How this guy makes Railways profitable also Garib Rath express and LHB coach was introduced by Lalu Prasad Yadav.
      Now we are in 2022 . Indian Railways is growing by with loss . We have more tax collection less trains are running dedicated fright corridor but still railway in loss.

      @@ToysKUBERtoys007 When they say that IR is in loss, they are considering the core IR without considering its subsidiary companies. DFC is under a separate subsidiary company DFCCIL. IR's subsidiary companies don't share their profit/ revenue generated with the core IR Organisation as they are a corporate setups and don't have political influence on them; on the other hand the core IR is under constant political intervention, and political motivated decision directly influence the core IR Organisation; for example, during election if a MLA promise that he will start a direct train service to a specific destination, and wins that election, IR have to give a train service even if there is not much actual passenger for that route, eventually making it a loss making train, and also affects other train schedules on that route affecting overall traffic. If there was a subsidiary company in that place like IRCTC (yes, IRCTC is a government PSU, and a subsidiary company of IR); they would not start a train service untill they are fully confident about the passenger demand on that route, they do proper survey before starting a train service.

      There is normally day and night difference between test runs and routine runs..
      If u just follow news, most trains were running late compared their prescribed timings, showing poor performance. It was so bad that , rather than improving train performance they choose to change the timings 😂😂😂.
      Moodi ji train thode hi chala rahe hai? Vo to Twitter account chalate hai. 😅

      भारतीय ट्रैन समय पर इसलिए नही चलती या पहुंचती क्योंकि जबसे तथाकथित आजाद हुए तबसे मुफ्त ओर सस्ते वाले ओर भ्रस्टाचारी नेहरू कांग्रेसी लोगों ने रेलवे को तरक्की करने नही दिया, एक साइड लोगों को मुफ्त का लालच देते गए ताकि देश को गुलामी में रहने दे और दूसरी ओर तरक्की के लिए बहूत पैसे लगते है जो रेल्वे को किराए से ही मिल सकता है अब खानदानी पार्टी ने 70 वर्ष से गरिबी नही हटवाने दिया फिर एकाएक लोग समझने लगे के तरकक़्क़ी तो नही कर रहे, वजपायेजी मोदिजी योगिजी जैसो को ही लाना पड़ेगा तब जाकर 2014 में मोदिजी आये। कई तुम्हारे जैसे लोगों ने सोचा मोदीजि तो चमत्कार कर देगा सत्तर वर्ष का जहर रातों रात मिट जाएगा अरे कोन समजाये, इस जहर को साफ़ करने में देर लगता है और सबका साथ भी चाहिए त्याग भी करना पड़ता है मेहनत करना पड़ता है फिर मीठा फल मिलता है।
      2015 के बाद मोदी सरकार ने बड़ी तेजी से इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर में काम पूरा करवाना शुरू कर दिया है सस्ते वालो को अलग ट्रेन ओर जो तरक्की चाहता है वह पैसे देकर हाई स्पीड ट्रेन में सफर कर पाए। अभी शुरुआत हुआ है और तसल्ली है कम से कम काम तेजी से हो रहा है।
      कभी सही दिमाग भी लगा लिया करो।

    It may go 180kmph or 300kmph avg speed will not change from present 60kmph.. its shame it takes 12 hours to travel between Banglore to Hyderabad which is 600km and 6 hours to travel between Hyderabad and Vijayawada which is just 370km.. before Bhakts jump in i am BJP supporter and appriciate the good work by the party be it highways or railways..

      In north train usually travel faster due to plain terrain.
      Like i once travelled in rajdhani it covered 980 km under 12 hrs.
      But again the more you pay better you get, same thing is not true for passenger train which takes 7 hrs for say 350 km.
      It's about money.

      The fastest one averages 95kmph (New delhi-varanasi). I'd call that an achievement.
      Vandebharat from Hyd to vijayawada takes 4hr20mins, a far better time than 6 hours.

    Vande Bharat should be India's slow travel option. Bullet trains should be preferred for longer routes like China did. All the best.

      China also has huge debt on those...better to do it gradually while sustaining the railways rather than going crazy and making stupid decisions. In china many of those bullet trains are now white elephants.

      I’m sure they’re going to use the lessons and observations they’ve made from this project to chalk up indigenous high speed rails. Sort of like an additive prototype.
