VU meters shows cue on left and main mix on right it can be used as a visual metronome and reference when mixing ,counting beats , and dropping on beat. That arm really starts jumping when 4/4 kick starts no delay sometimes it’s harder for me to see transient peaks on LED in my opinion.
As much as I love the xone 92, it def forces you to play it in a certain way (to make it properly sing). I love the versatility in this mixer. Just ordered
Can we mix in ear with the radius 4? Like on a djm or xone 92 mix Master to cue? I see that knob on the mastersounds v4 but on the radius 4 i only see a knob that has a micro switch with a split cue! Ohhhh man that is a make it or break it factor for me. I sometimes like to mix in headphones late night session! I hope that is not the case because i like the radius 4 platform better Than the VALVE version.

Hello' can anybody please help with advice? - I can't decide which mixer would be better, if spending 2k - 3k 1)Mastersounds Radius Two Valve; or 2) ALPHA RECORDING SYSTEM, MODEL1100 ?
I’ve not compared the two. But as you can see in the video I have a few rotaries. And she holds her own quite nicely!!! What did you end up purchasing??
The man who worked his magic at A&H Is here making a massive contribution to the sound that comes out of the 4V as well. Pop on over to the live chat available at MasterSounds website or have a go on their WhatsApp. In my mind they both are really transparent to answer your question. I’ve played on a XONE 96 for almost 8 years at my residency here in Las Vegas at the Downtown Cocktail Room (shameless plug). And I’ve had the 4V as my daily vinyl driver at home for just over 2 years. So a direct comparison on apples to apples systems hasn’t been realized.
I have the MP2015 and its strong suit is combining the digital and analog worlds in a way that is extremly convenient. But IMO the advantage when comparing sound the Mastersounds Radius 4V takes the checkered flag. Not getting rid of my Rane though :) But the warmth, clarity and fullness of sound give the fully analog Mastersounds rotary the win! -ra
Hi Rob, great review, thanks! I’m currently weighing up the 4v and Rane MP2015 as a new mixer. I saw In the video that you have both. What are your thoughts, I’m particularly interested in how the 2015 performs with vinyl as it is mainly what I play so it’s essential it’s great there ( all other fully digital mixers suck at vinyl). What do you think? Thanks
The Rane scores points in that it doesn’t sound bad with vinyl but shines integrating the digital into the analog world of rotary. If you play vinyl primarily and don’t need a ton of DVS support or integration go with the 4V hands down
@@RobAlahn Thanks, I really appreciate the reply. I've had a Xone96 for the last 6 months or so. Its great but I definitely should have put in the extra coin for the 4v. It would suit me better, for the reasons you've just suggested!

But if money is a consideration buy whichever you like :) You owe it to yourself to have what you want. And as you see I collect what I love. And I love Mastersounds gear!
Money is very much a consideration unfortunately! Thanks for the video on this though. Hadn't considered the 4V before but the individual channel meters and crossfade look pretty handy. Cheers...
Great video! I have a couple questions. 1. Could I get a MasterSounds radius two valve and connect it with two Technic 1200’s in the phone and two cdj’s in the line and switch between the two options depending on what I am playing out on? I like the fader option to be able to catch breaks while the rotary works for the long blends. 2. Dies it offer a fader override like Condesa Lucia X?
Sure thing, just pop between LINE & RIAA using the illuminated switch below the TRIM Knob. You can bypass the Crossfader too, and assign to either channel in typical X/Y format, or the opposite (Hamster Style).
The 2 Channel Radius has phono and line inputs on each channel. But you can only play one source at a time from each channel. And I believe each channel has a toggle switch to assign its output to the left, right or disable the fader. Hope that helps! -RA
Daniel Evans it’s become a rarity as it was produced for less than a year. Didn’t make it after Rane migrated their production in Asia. Only the MP2015 did.
