    Sounds great with 50% mic blend, much more natural than the previous pick up system. Very nice upgrade.

      Hi doggylover1958, Blending is my preferred option too - I have not shown it in the vid but blending about 75% sounds great... Thanks so much!

    This is an excellent presentation of the various sound options offered by the Fishman Rare Earth Mic Blend. I have viewed several video options and the fact that you played the guitar exactly the same with each new setting , you gave the viewer the same exact guitar sound with each test. And that sound was only altered by Fishmans pickup settings. Excellent job thank you. Your excellent guitar skills also gave a more precise conclusion to the various settings. Im an older country guy from Wrightsville, Georgia USA, and grew on bluegrass and country, and most of the men in my family play stringed instruments, Thank you...

    Underwhelmed with the 100% mic setting. The treble highs virtually disappeared. But with 50/50 mix it sounded great. Nicely balanced

    that's a great sounding system and you did excellent work installing it! I installed the fishman ellipse system into one of my martin guitars, it is similar to this system, when we were on the road playing live shows it saved me a bunch of times, I'm sure your system would too! cheers bro!

    • @CesarAllGuitar
      @CesarAllGuitar  Год назад

      Thanks Randy! I have tried a lot of systems before choosing this one - my goal was to get as close as possible to the acoustic mic'd sound, avoiding the " piezo-ish " " plastic " sound that the under saddle piezo systems give and not going through the trouble of mic'ing the guitar every time I am recording...... I am happy with the initial results...take care man...

    Great job on the swap of systems and your detail showing each step! The before tone with the piezo is not good but typical of all piezo systems. The new system immediately makes everything better. Just the humbucker alone was an improvement. As soon as you dialed in the mic it was excellent. All mic alone didn’t work for me. I think if I was doing this I’d leave the old system intact and just purchase a new saddle and shave it down to a good action. Then I would try selling the old system on Marketplace or Reverb to recover some of the cost.
    Anyway you did a great job with it all to your advantage.👍🏻

    I'm glad now to know why I hate the sound of my acoustic/electric guitar. It's the piezo pickup. It is a very distinctive sound, and I hate it. The new pickup sounds fantastic and now I need to replace mine!

    Hola Cesar , muy buena review muchísimas gracias, me ha servido de mucho ya que estoy más que decidido a comprar el fishman rare earth. Una pregunta, digamos que el preamp original de la electroacústica ya no sirve de nada cierto ? Se podría dejar y seguir utilizando el piezo a veces y el fish man en otras ? Bueno muchas gracias

    It sounds very nice with humbucker... And sounds very good at 50% ... And 100% mike is glorious! Very natural .... Well this thing works great in all selected positions. Very versatile! And to tell you the truth it is very natural and sounds great. I don't like the "before" config. because ist sounds like the guitar was in a small box. Otro abrazo!

      The previous Fishman was too " Piezo-ish ", specially in the bass strings... Now I need to try with different positions of the gooseneck mic to find the sweet spot... Cheers Antonio!

    This is great. I personally like the 50-50 with bass max. Just to clarify, the original transducer pickup is still installed just to maintain the height but it's not electrically connected?

    • @CesarAllGuitar
      @CesarAllGuitar  Год назад

      That is correct. I kept the under - saddle pickup just to maintain the height so I could keep the same string action and not changing the saddle. It is not electrically connected at all. Thanks for watching!

    I remember that in one of your videos you mentioned that the bottom of the guitar has no effect on the sound and I remember also that some Spanish luthier made a guitar without a bottom and the sound was the same... So my question is why the guitar companies do not make some openings so that access to the electronics is made easier? Un abrazo!

    • @CesarAllGuitar

    I'm sure the sound is totally different with the new pickup. What I'm not sure about is if I like the sound of this guitar more than your Yamaha Silent.

    • @CesarAllGuitar
      @CesarAllGuitar  Год назад

      😀 Two different animals, totally... I am still using my silent a lot, the steel string one - but the nylon string one needs some new piezo system... it decided to stop working one month ago - although it served the purpose and beyond, with me since 2011... Cheers man!

    Te planteaste la LR Baggs M1 o M80 como alternativas? Estoy entre esas dos y la Fishman para mi Furch 00M. Un saludo César.

    • @CesarAllGuitar
      @CesarAllGuitar  Год назад

      Hola Alberto - ojo porque esas dos pickups son al fin y al cabo humbuckers. No tienen micrófono... Tenemos la m80 en el estudio y a mi - personalmente - no me convence. La ventaja de esta que he puesto you es que tiene el humbucker y el microfono y puedes hacer blending. Personalmente creo que no hay color pero ... prueba y decide. ES muy personal. Gracias!

    I think I would measure the under saddle pickup with calliper and replace it with a gauge of copper wire the same as the pickup under saddle, to keep original system as one.
    Also I liked the 50/50 blend but I still really liked the original PRS system. Think I'd leave it. Thanks for your great video.
