I hope people really appreciate what Morten does in these videos. Not only does he do incredible photography, but he is also like a 2 man film crew. It is so well done, and watching is a true pleasure. As someone who makes videos as well, I can't imagine the amount of work that goes into a video like this. Such an inspiration!
Thank you Morten for respecting and appreciating nature. Svalbard is a very fragile island. Even if this landscape looks so rocky and mighty, it also shows us how sensitive and fragile it is.
Thank you for sharing this Morten. This is why I love RUclips. So many stories comes to light. Actually got a tear in my eye because of the beautiful untoutched landscape.
The amount of work to make these videos is remarkable. What a great storyteller you are Morten. I really enjoy following you in your outdoor adventures.
Hello Morten..... thanks for all your videos. It is a pleasure to see your films and pictures. Especially your series from your travels are fantastic and you think you are part of these adventures yourself.... Love it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊
I follow your channel from the beginning but I've never commented until now. Your work is extremely valuable, unique and wonderful. I love everything about it. I'm a huge fan and always looking forward for your next adventure. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Hi Morten, we traveled to Svalbard with Hutigruten what a fantastic landscape it is, we saw two Polar Bears on our trip, my wife had a pod of Beluga whales swimming around her Kayak and would love to go back to Longyerben again. Keep up the interesting vlogs.
Also nice to see that with all the people doing there tech reviews never actually using the cameras in the real word, Morten is out here getting it done with Z.
Another fantastic and beautiful video! I never get tired of Morten's work. It is the best channel on RUclips (and tv in general). Good to see Morten admit that landscapes can be fun (lol). Really looking forward to the next video.
Morten, many thanks for another beautiful film of one of your photographic adventures. I realy enjoy watching your video´s (I saw most of them I think) in such remote and special places. The way you filmed it always makes me feel a little bit part of your journey. Thank you for putting soo much work and effort into the filming and sharing it with us. I enjoyed watching the full 28 minutes. I have ordered a copy of your book Silence of the North. I was so happy when a reprint was announced some time ago. I hope to receive my copy soon and enjoy your beautiful photographs and appreciate wildlife of the North at its best. Warm greetings from The Netherlands.
Beautiful video, Morten! Every time I watch one of your videos, I feel rejuvenated and ready to get back out on the next adventure. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication, can't wait for the next video!
Again a really exciting adventure which we can enjoy thru your videos as we are not able to be there by ourselves, we enjoy it and have the advantage not to have to worry about any polar bear visit at night.
I enjoyed immensely. Know there are documentaries on TV that have massive budgets, multiple staff working on them and your expedition documentaries made by just yourself exceed them all, they bring the real wild outdoors into our homes. The excitement you convey, atmosphere of the surroundings and story telling is second to non. Well done.
Looking forward to the next video Morten, I'm sure the coffee tasted really good with the naturally filtered water at one of the last great wilderness on this planet. Will be watching out for the next video and I'm sure you have more exiting things to show. Beautiful landscapes with the shifting weather. Love watching your videos with the inspirations as mentioned by many others, and the way you approach your photography with the elements of the environment. We know it's hard work, and many of us will stay tune for the next video.....maybe a polar beer somewhere...or fox, reindeer ? :-)
Watching this video on a Sunday morning in bed with a coffee. This is awesome! I’m going on a backcountry canoe trip next month with my cameras and this video gets me jazzed up…Morten is a hard man, would love to go on a photography expedition with him…but maybe not in polar bear country 😄
Always great to see you where your most 'at home', in the wilderness. As Thomas has already said, what stunning landscapes and the moment with the Seal was something else. Thank you for taking us all with you and sharing these amazing experiences.
I enjoy your story telling. It is always very relaxing and inspiring to watch your videos. The seal image is stunning. Very minimalistic. The landscape images are beautiful. The little building was interesting and I know what you mean about finding old structures. Great video and looking forward to the next. Take care and “see you out there.”
Nice video, Morten. You put a smile of recognition on my face when you used the buttons to zoom in on what you shot. It took me a while with the Z system until it sank in that the display compares to my smartphone. Two finger pinch zoom. One finger move within the frame. Brief tap to focus on the point tapped and immediately take a shot. Almost a game changer.
Just 2 min in & I was curious about who this exceptionally well prepared professional photographer is… NO DOUBT. His work & approach to nature photography is brilliant. Happy I am now subscribed. His website is astonishing as the work is stunning. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎥🎥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Once again a beautiful video, already looking forward to the next one, the preview looked exciting! Such amazing scenery and that seal photo is definitely one for the 2023 calendar 😛 Even though you found it hard to describe, you described exactly how I feel about visiting/seeing old buildings. Looks like your bear alarm got a small upgrade from the last time you visited Svalbard. I would still 100% run into it though 😅
Hi Pica - Always a pleasure to read you comments. Yes old buildings are amazing. Have you seen A Life on this Planet with David Attenborough? The beginning where he is visiting Chernobyl? That is amazing. Yes the alarm got an update and this is much better. I am now building one up from scratch for my next trip. A completely different system with sound only. See you out there...
When seals are in the water they are difficult to get good pictures. Like you said, they don't keep their head out of the water very long and they can spend up to about 20 minutes under water. They are quite common in Puget Sound in Washington State in the USA. I see seals about 60% of the time usually about 30 meters off shore. I am surprised how many people don't notice them. I enjoy watching how you set up camp. I was surprised to see you drink from a stream. Around here I am going to filter at least and probably boil. That is a cute little old shelter you showed us. As always, I enjoy watching your videos.
Hi Jeff and thanks for you kind words. The streams on Svalbard all comes from the glaciers so the water is super clean. Here in Denmark you have to be more carefull because of farming etc. Yeah these seals are really difficult - luckily they are very curious:) Take care - see you out there...
