@@MortenHilmer just found video what a way to start!!!! You are addicted my friend to the situation not the result. What a statement and listening to your voice....what a rush.
You are awesome man. U don't want to disturb the daily routine of the animals in any way. You more worrying about their life than that of taking good photo. Hats off man 🙏👌👌
The perfect combination.. wilderness, wildlife photography, solitude, survival and of course, great coffee ;) Thank you so much to taking me here, I didn't want to leave.
If I could only enjoy half as much this nature as Morten can. I’ll be a rich man. Thinking of that brings a tear in my eye. This is better than everything. Thanks Morten.
Morten Hilmer just keep up those beautiful stories and adventures . Perhaps ssomeday I can find my photography adventure to. For now I stick to woodlands. Instagram: lm_imaging I’ll keep watching. 👋🏻
About 4 years late to the game, but just want to say how much I appreciate your respect for nature and wildlife. Your description of their behaviors and how to read their body language is really valuable for everyone to learn and be cognizant of. So thank you!
Hello Morten, I have been following you for a month now watching your old videos. Learnt lot of lessons from you as a Photographer. My respect to you when you said that taking photo is not the first thing to do but to be with the nature. Inspirational.
Thank you so much for leaving such an awesome comment. I really appreciate Loreta. I hope you will have an awesome Christmas with the people you love. All the best, Morten
Thank you so much Christian. I just watched your video where you are doing wildlife photography and and I am so happy you saw the hare and the deer. You really got some great moments there and your photo of the deer is amazing.
Hi Morten. I came across your videos not long ago and watched them all in a blink of an eye. I couldn’t get enough. I find your videos to be very inspiring and make me want to do more outdoor adventures around the world. I love nature, traveling and photography and these videos shows it all. I particularly appreciate your respect for nature even in such a remote and harsh situation. I wish I could be there with you in one of these adventures, even though it looks quite challenging. You carry around a lot of gear and you make it looks like it’s nothing ... but I’m sure it’s something that adds to the difficulty of the situation. So, thanks for sharing this with us and if you’ll ever come to Italy I’ll by you a cup of coffee (which you seem to like quite a lot ;-)).
The moment when you lean over to take a better view of the Musk's in the Camera LCD, then realize you are behind your TV instead! Love how you are able to capture your audience and making them believe as if they are with you. Thanks a ton for sharing all your videos, they are an inspiration to me.
Haha - I know exactly that feeling. It might be because we are photographers:) Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking your time to write me such a nice comment.
Wonderful, encapsulated viewing, glued to the screen! Not just the images but the enthusiasm and interest you convey is very addictive to watch. 😁👍 brilliant and thank you
I'm loving working through your videos Morten! Also, it's so brilliant that you mention that objective #1 is to not disturb the animals. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise and experiences.
Watching your video is just amazing. I wish I could be there for the loving nature. Loved your video and the photo. Thanks for sharing the video. Best wishes 👍👍
Fantastic video Morten, thank you so much for sharing your adventures and your technique for photographic wildlife. You really pull off the trick with videos like this; entertain, inform and inspire.
You have the look in your eye of someone enthralled by nature, wilderness and the birds and animals. I understand that because I too am like that. After a lifetime of climbing mountains and sailing I am in the process of taking my photography into the professional world. You have inspired me with your videos and your approach and I thank you for that. Good luck! The world and nature needs more people like you.
Thanks you so much Duncan McNeill for your awesome comment - it is so motivating for me :) I wish you all the best luck with your photography, and I hope I can continue to inspire you:)
normally i dont comment on videos , but yours are just so inspirational. I am used to rush from one task/activity to the next.. well even on hollidays. But you are just so relaxed, it feels like you are really in this moment and happy about the small things, like a cup of coffee. Everybody is talking about mindfulness these days. .. Just look and learn from Morten, that is all i need. Thank you for your videos! For me, they are way more then just entertaiment. They are a lesson and a way of life.
Hi Morten, your videos are just fantastic, you convey the love you have for what you do, every video that I watch makes me want to take my camera and run to the forest. thank you for sharing your experiences
I enjoyed this more than any video I can remember. I love being out in nature by myself, listening to the birds and other creatures waking up, but would never consider taking on all the challenges that this trip involved - you have my utmost respect. I especially loved that you enjoyed and respected the Oxen so much. This was the first video I've seen on yours - I can't wait to see more.
Thanks a lot Tara for your lovely comment. it is so motivating. Yes nature is awesome and I love spending time out there. I am on my way back to Norway now, and I am looking forward to sharing this adventure with you.
Absolutely love your work, you are not only an amazing photographer, but a world class steward of the planet we all share, you inspire me and my own work, Thank you
This is really great Morten. You are inspiring me to become like you. I want to follow in your footsteps. I can just say thank you for sharing this with the world!
Morten, this by far one of my favorite videos you've done! I love big animals for the cold north. I feel like those big muskox are left over from the ice age! I hope to get up that way to get pictures of them someday!
Your videos are so well put together! I love the music and the footage of the animals. You seem very genuine, and even the simple moments of coffee in the tent make me feel like I'm right there with you. Your enthusiasm for the animals and the scenery comes across great. I was laughing at the part when you went into the snow up to your knees, and was holding my breath during the musk ox duel. I was wondering if you got the chance to see the aurora, and then bam, there it was. Just an amazing video. I look forward to more!
Thanks you so much Mick for your awesome comment - it is so motivating for me :) Feedback like this is so incredible helpfull and encouraging for me:) Looking forward to showing you part 2;)
Just discovered your channel and I love it. Its truely inspirational how you dedicated your life to nature and country, first as a soldier of special forces in Greenland which deserves my greatest respect and now as a magnificent Wildlife Photographer. I am very thankful for sharing your experiences with us. Its not hard to imagine how hard it is to stick to the second camera for vlogging while whitnessing such beautiful animals and landscapes. In October I am trekking through parts of Dovrefjell myself for 2 weeks and your videos increased my anticipation even more although I dont expect to see these beauties. I think, knowing that an encounter with these animals is possible to any time is enough excitement. Best greetings from Germany!
Wow, I am positive that you will have an amazing time in Doverfjell. The animals and the nature is just amazing. I hope to get back some time during the summer as well, and witness these great beasts on a totally different landscape to the snow covered one in winter. Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot to me to receive these 😊 have a great time on your trip!
So wonderfull to watch your videos and getting excited about wildlife photography. A good way to empty your mind and be in the moment, which you show so wonderfully. Thanks
Morten, this video is simply inspirational for me. The way you peacefully interact with nature and create such incredible shots makes me want to do what you do. Thanks - from a 17yo who wants to learn!
Hi Morten, that reminds me of a winter adventure exactly 25 yrs ago in the Hardangervidda. With a Canon T90 and lots of Kodachrome. Wonderful memories.
It is amazing to see how human can adopt and adjust the extreme weather and be with wildlife, Thanks for sharing your adventure in winter wilderness, thanks for making us see places we will never see other wise.
I love your connection with nature the way you prefer to be the quiet observer first as opposed to being the imposing instigator. This may be the greatest video of its type that I’ve seen. I hope that you receive an award for this. BRAVO...!!
This is very inspiring. Just as Gary said, I watched every second, the vibes are captured perfectly and the quality is stunning. I love camping too, just as video and photography, there's so much to learn about all these. One good way is to enjoy videos made by others. I know that the best way is to do it, I did camp alone in southern China once, it was quite okay, the weather is warm there. The only scary part was when a huge frog jumped on my tent next to my head, just when I was falling asleep :) I had a great time alone, but I prefer to camp with at least one more person. Thank you for the video, you have a new subscriber.
Hi 🤗 Just sat down to watch this and it's amazing! It's incredibly beautiful and interesting, and brings back very good memories! Very much looking forward to Part 2. 🙋🏻

Thanks you so much for your awesome comment. I am so glad you appreciate the way I see nature.
