My first big purchase as a kid was a set of titleist irons. Worked at the club all summer to save up for them. Titleist will always be a special brand to me.
Just picking up my T200's today....I did a "sort of" fitting at a local golf shop....at least in part because I have a contact there to get a great deal. I'm guessing if I went to a proper professional fitting studio that I would have ended up in a blended set of 150's and 200's....like T150 from GW-7 and then 4-6 in T200 - but I'm stoked to go pick them up and get to work in the sim on getting my yardages and gapping sorted out. For your situation - the spin and landing angle of the T100S gamer and the T150 are the same, and you're getting some free yardage. I'd say that's a no-brainer you have to go with the T150 without question! Just found your channel - watching everything I can on the T series irons the past few weeks....surprising that it took so long for your vid to come up in the list. Love this comparison. I think the looks are the same as the old AP2 - but clearly they have done some work with the tungsten, and the "hotness" of the face to get some better launch conditions, and more distance out of the newer version.
I have the AP3 still and in play. Great clubs. Be great if I could upgrade without paying a lot. Not going to get much in trade-in. I think club makers should have a better discount if you upgrade with same brand.
I just went with Mizuno pro 225 with the steel fiber 95 stiff . My previous set was a miura PP 9003 with KBS TGI 90 . The steel fiber shafts are more consistent and feel a lot more like steel shafts.
Great review! You’re absolutely right about the resemblance with the AP2s….I’ve played and wore out 3 sets of AP2 712, the best set of irons I’ve ever had!!! Love the T150s!!! Fantastic feel, look and performance!!!!🔝👍
i still use AP2 716s myself. i got back into golf and got them used from someone who got into golf but never ended up playing, so like new. they're great!!
Just had a fitting a few weeks ago, and while I koved the looks of the Titleist clubs, I stayed true to Mizuno. They just checked every box for me as far as sound, flight, looks and combo set options. The Pro 221s may be the prettiest irons Ive seen in years (outside of some niche brands... specifically Miura). I'm probably a Mizuno iron guy for life...not necessarily a bad thing though.
Wild I got fit for the same setup. T150 (PW-5), T200 (4i) - Project X IO 110g shaft. Currently gaming the T100s and love them, pumped to get these new T's in a few weeks!
Great video and explanation! Wish you would have thrown out the major misses to see results. When I was fitted, the fitter took out my major miss hits to compare against other club brands. However, I understand you are trying to be forthright and honest. You really only had 2 bad ones with T150. Throw those 2 out and that dispersion circle wins! I think you need to get some T150s.
I just got fitted for T150 PW to 7i T200 6-4 ..... They already shipped them in just a week and I am looking forward to enjoying them for many many years! Also got a TSR3 it is the first time I get a full bag fitting.
I def think imma get a blended set in the t200 and 150. The look the sound just has me sold !!! I'm in the need for new clubs so next year or at the end of the year I will def be picking some up.
Makes me feel good to see you getting sweaty on the virtual range. I am not lean like you and it is nice to see that I am not the only one who gets a lite workout when putting in some swings when playing virtually.
I still game AP2s and got a few hits with the 150s yesterday. Felt even better and carried 8-10 yards more than my 712 ap2s. A better shaft for me may have factored in a good bit too
I want the AP2s but are going to get fitted next week… I’m around a 15 handicap, would you guys say game on AP2 used and fitted or send it with 150s? Or take a step back and go t200? Pretty athletic swing on me, I gain my strokes around the green- decent ball striker
LOVE YOUR Input & well done review!! I was fortunate enuf to get fitted at Sherwood CC for my 50th & got the new new combo t150 gap to 7 & t200 6-4 and absolutely love them…it replaces my gamers that I’ve had for YEARS Titleist 690CB’s 😂
I bought a set of 714 AP2's in 2015 and I'm still playing them today. I have to say though, I'm tempted to get the new 150's. My AP2's aren't nearly as worn as his though. lol!
Brilliant video, exactly the comparisons you would want. Love the look of the 150, but they're out of my league. Am playing the t300 and see no reason to spend a fortune to upgrade to the t350.
I have been playing a set of AP2 712's with tour ad 65i graphite shafts and absolutely love them. I may have to swing in and try those T150's to see what I am missing out on. Great vid / great information!
Look great clubs! I’ve just changed after over 20 years with Ping to Orka, the last proper club maker in the UK and got their RS 10 CB’s in 5- PW and 50, 54 & 58 OD wedges! Quad forged Japanese steel and so soft to hit! Shame that you couldn’t compare them to the Titleists!
Great video and appreciate all the testing on the new Titilest irons I would love to see you test the newT350s and see the results. Also are your steel fibers i95 stiff? Or xtra stiff? Or regular I heard they run a littler stiffer then what they say on the shaft.
Loved this review! I would like to add that maybe you could've discussed the loft differences for the irons for those who aren't aware and that this impacted the distances. Either way, I'm currently gaming AP2 716s but wasn't sold on the last T100s. You definitely have swayed me to getting fit for the new T150s. Maybe even do a combo set like your setup T200s 4-5iron and T150s 6-P or AW due to the stronger lofts and not wanting to upgrade all my wedges.
I play some older Titleist DTR irons from 1989. I've noticed more and more "modern" irons are starting to go back to their roots in models from the past.
I tried the steel fiber but they just weren’t for me. I game the project x LS 6.5 and absolutely love them and don’t plan to change them anytime soon. Also tested the t150 against the new cobra CB/MB blended set and I absolutely love them both so now I’m torn which to go with. Found that t150 to have a lower spin but they feel amazing! Nice summary thanks. Don’t really see the point in using Handicaps for club selection. There’s 20 handicappers with 100+ mph swings and scratch golfers with 80mph swings. Golfers don’t always prioritize Distance and forgiveness equally.
Great job putting in all of those swings. I've seen another reviewer get the same performance from the T150 as the T200. T150 for sure but the website price with Steelfibers was 💔💔
I play the first series t100's and still love them. Just not a fan of all the delofting that's going on. The t100s and t150 series have 2 degrees of loft less so its obvious that your spinrate is down and distance is up. That means that your 7 iron is basically a 6.5 iron. With the t200 and 300 its even way more. So always check the specs of a club and gapping between them before ending up with 5 or 6 wedges in your bag.
Look at the 150’s compared to the 710AP2’s, which I still play. They look even more alike. Before the reveal I thought, ‘that looks just like my old irons”.
I have the t100s but don't think the 150 would be a good upgrade for me. Do you know the loft difference between the s and the 150? I know the s is 2 degrees stronger than the regular 100 but still on the weaker side for irons these days. Also, the shaft will give you differences as well in both distance and dispersion. I am like 4-5mph faster with the recoil shafts in my t100s vs the older KBS tour. That added some distance for me. Regardless, Titleist makes some killer clubs. I just love the super thin line on top as it makes me feel like I am using real bladed. lol
I had my fitting yesterday. I hit everything in the store. The fitting lasted 1:45. Yup. Got a full set of t150s. Project X 6.5. The t200 felt very different to me. Opted for full set of t150 instead of blending. I was very happy with a 51 degree decent angle with 4 and 3 iron.
@@dobermanownerforlife3902 Congrats!!! I have been struggling with my t100s lately and I think it is shaft related. Ball flight with them was the best of all the shafts I have in my old clubs.
It’s really weird that Callaway launched the Apex Pro series with zero indication of the new Apex 21 replacements. Johnny Wunder made no reference to it in his video with TXG. He easily just could said it’s coming. So where is the t200/t300 from Callaway.
The new T 150 has 2° less that the ap2...ap2 has older tech so wouldn't it be more comparable with the new t100 surely 10 years of development should make the new t100 better than the ap2? Needs to be tested. also i still game 714 ap2s. And love them.

Are you buying all this gear or do they send it to you.
I want em!!!!
Almost need a new screen you can tell you hit it mostly in the same spot!
Seems like the AP2 should have stayed in the bag and saved you a ton of money.
Imagine that a long time Titleist iron player loving a newly released Titleist iron, things that make you say hmmmmm
What has you playing the Titleist for your gamers over the Edel?
ap2
Good to see Titleist leading the way again over gimmicky companies pushing things like “fargiveness”.
Actually, just jumping on the bandwagon. Distance thru stronger lofts, higher ball flights…all brands are doing it. Distances are still regulated, that’s where marketing factors in.
@@gregwayne6785 Titleist is just “jumping on the bandwagon”?
They copied the big bertha forgiveness for their ap1 716's too
whats it about holding onto old clubs? Why dont we sell them? lol
Sold me on the T200. Distance does matter for this 50yr old hacker 😄👍🏼🇦🇺
