Asian Water Monitors, Working With A New Monitor

- Опубликовано: 20 сен 2024
- We have an opportunity to work with a new Asian water monitor, thanks to Aubrey Pruitt and Kevin McCurley for producing and allowing us to produce some educational content with him. these monitor lizards are among the most easily socialized and very intelligent, not to mention one of the largest monitor species alive. We talk some about socializing and handling Asian water monitors and show how they act when they lose their fear of humans and can be their natural, enthusiastic selves.

😲❤ Oooh he soooooo cute!!! You have a little Slinky!!!!!! He's so sweet and awesome! Kevin is the Monitor Guru Wizard Whisperer and what ever any best adjectives there are to describe an amazing person! If your monitor is from Kevin... you have struck SOLID GOLD!
He looks like a little Slinky 😂
Lol he was sitting up like “I know you’re talking about me 😑” 😂😂 so beautiful!!
he is an inquisitive little guy!
He is so cute!!! Love how happy he is too ❤ Can’t wait to see more.
The water monitor is the second largest. You eill never see a 100 pound crocodile monitor. But some asian water monitors get this big
true, good point.
Awesome addition!! He seems very special!
That is one beautiful monitor.
You are a lucky man! Amazing 🤩
This looks like so much work.
Your thumbnail picture is Great! Best ever!😊
Another awesome video Tim ;o)
Thanks ! this guy is going to be a joy to work with :-)
The new monitor is awesome! Niles is still awesome too!
Fraizer is a GREAT NAME!!! Slinky has the most AHHHH-MAZING enclosure than any monitor in the world. Even better than Tom Crutchfield's animals! Oh I'm so happy for you!
Hi everyone 😊
This video is amazing !!! Great great info !!! Outstanding!!!! Such truth !
Thank you! Going to be a blast working with this little guy
@@IntrepidExotics u need anything let me know they do weird shit sometimes !
wow - bonus live stream-
Yesss you got a water monitor ! Is he het for anything? He looks amazing
He's het for all the cool stuff Kevin does :-)
NICE ENCLOSURE TIM! He's so little... Asian water monitors have the sweetest faces and dispositions. You've seen Slinky right? He's just the best lizard in/ on RUclips and the whole world. Petting then under there chins is the very beginning. Kevin sells/ donate GREAT MONITORS!!sorry..sorry Tim...Niles is in 2nd place!❤
THAT IS A DINOSAUR! THAT IS A VELOCIRAPTOR!
He is awesome Tim
Such a good natured guy too :-)
hey tim!!! still wanna come out and see your facility some day 🐍🐍😁😁 talked to a guy at the pet store i work at,and he was talkin about this guy tim he knew, who kept giant snakes🤣🤣
Small world eh? I don't have a "facility" yet and simply working out of my private residence, but that will likely change in the future.
Frasier is a good name. I used to enjoy that show.
He’s pretty cute! To me the worst aspect of their claws is how dirty they are. It’s like mainlining their poop water straight under your skin 😂
Those claws can be rough! Every time I get done handling I hit the spray bottle of listerine and disinfect all the cuts...that feels great too, lol. Alcohol in an open wound
Wow, never thought about that. Like a needle injection of poop water DIRECTLY IN YOU!!!! Buying gloves today
beautiful animal-
Tim, he’s really pretty! Thanks to your education I can say this isn’t the lizard for me, I don’t have the room for a roomy enclosure
These guys do definitely require a lot of space, but there's some smaller species of tree monitors, ect that are a little easier to house that are great :-)
So you are looking for a house with a in ground pool inside the house .
Hope everyone is having a nice week. ✌🏻🇺🇸🍻
Hi, can i get the measurements of the cage that u first took him out of at 1:20 ?
I myself have an asian water monitor and im considering making a new enclosure for him. Cheers.
That is a temp enclosure for him that's 6x2x3, the Nile is in an 8x8x6
@@IntrepidExotics Thank You !
Hi all 😊
Let’s go
hi
hi hi
How old is he
I'm not sure, he belongs to a friend and has been breeding smaller awm's so even a guess would be off I'm sure.
I just got a baby Asian water monitor yesterday from New England reptiles. It’s a baby any tips or advice?..
Awesome! Kevin has a lot of vids out about socializing monitors, mine are a lot more geared towards working with my bigger ones but the main theme that ya will hear is to allow them to come to you whenever possible, don't chase em, let them see you a lot even if it's just in the same room and when ya do interact work on getting them used to your hands, a lot of petting when they allow it especially under the chin, ect so they get used to the interaction and lose their headshyness. Hard to summarize in a reply here but if ya have any problems feel free to reach out on FB messenger and I'll help any way I can!
@@IntrepidExotics thank you so much ❤️
