if you have an Nvidia gpu then right click on your windows screen and select Nvidia control panel and go to manage 3D settings, search for power management mode and select "prefer maximum performance". if it is still not using maximum wattage then your PC/laptop is experiencing thermal throttling and most likely needs a thermal paste re-paste.

850 works best for Asus Tuf F15 RTX 3050 FX506HC (Looks like this is the efficiency mode since having lower than 850 it crashes, and when I game with 850 it is extremely quiet while maintaining stable 60fps at highest settings GTA 5 1080p). This is nice for school when I cant fit my cooler into my backpack for gaming while being quiet as my PS5
@@elverhaha 1695mhz-1700mhz, getting around 65-70fps GTA 5 w/highest settings (Keep in note I have only 8GB of ram) while maintaining under 60 watts (56-58 watts average) from 70-75 watts average. Oh yeah actually I just found out/forgot that my or that specific laptop mentioned has a performance mode which automatically undervolts it, previously I was using turbo mode which utilizes 100% of the resources (instead of limiting the MHz/clockspeed of my GPU, the performance mode I believe this dynamically adjust the clockspeed based on temps probably it tries to keep it under 85 degrees which results in my laptop being quiter, it hovers around 1500-1800MHz while not limiting the GPU wattage). Also for the turbo mode/unrestricted mode, the clockspeed hovers around 1900-2000+MHz. It seems that it suffers a major throttling though? The FPS drastically drops compared to undervolted or performance mode, maybe this is really how a GPU works but not sure, but I’m just going to mention that.
most of the time it is stable followed everything you did but sometimes it crashes while playing and you have to restart the laptop but the guide is dope gpu temps were 86 now they dont go above 75
I have the victus 15 rtx 4050, Im a little confused because my numbers on the curve are higher so I dont know what number to go when you mention to go up to "1700"?
a bit late but since you have a more powerful card your max frequency will obviously be higher, look up what your max frequency is based on your wattage and card and set it to that instead of 1700 with the same voltage values
Thanks for the video mate. I already had some experience in undervolting my pc graphics, when I had to manually find the lowest working voltage so it doesn't crash. It did drop around 10C and some noise, but I did that then because the card is hot and running at 90C+ looked bad. Was it even an issue though on victus? I just got a victus 15 with rtx 3050 ti and didn't play anything yet, just did some tests and benchmarks. Highest temp was the cpu hitting 97C and since the heat goes from it via the tubes past the gpu it keeps gpu "warm", lmao. I still didn't see anything above 80C on gpu. Guess I'll try to undervolt just to check if it changes anything on laptop.
Well, just to update my experience. I turned off turbo boost and that dropped max cpu temps to 64C. Problem is at least my victus had win11 by default and that did not accept any settings in power management. Only started working on win10 but I barely found all the drivers since they are not available on hp website or anywhere. Win11 lets you fry your cpu up till 100C and win10 starts throttling at 95C (which makes me hate win11 even more now). As for gpu undervolting my patience ran out. MSI afterburner loads 1st cpu core always to 100%, not sure if anyone saw this too. Only on this laptop tho, pc works properly with afterburner in background. No point in undervolting what only heats up to 75ish but load the cpu in idle
Well, got my rtx 3050 ti to 1805MHz at 0.806V. 1820Mhz at 0.800 failed after some time so I gave it a bit of breathing room, seems stable. Iirc in stock it had 82C now 72C and maybe a bit less noise but just a bit (if loaded with heavy load fans are close to 90%). Guess it's worth it anyway. Read so many different comments about how the cpu/gpu in victus 15 are locked from undervolting but nah, all worked besides the cpu load from msi monitoring every 3sec
I mean, it depends on what you want to achieve. I went for lower frequency and voltage to get lower temps with acceptable performance. You can try playing with the frequency value on the curve to find a working value since the values can differ even on the same model. The worst you can get is a screen freeze, just click revert icon fast enough
@@zj29merka70 it depends. You cant jump above the maximum values. At best you can find a frequency/voltage ratio that works on same frequency but lower voltage. For increasing performance you'd want overclocking, but doing that on a laptop? I wouldn't do that.
I clicked Windows icon to Apply UV settings when Windows started but MSI Afterburner resetting to default settings after restarting my laptop. Reinstalled Nvidia driver and MSI afterburner and ım still getting the same issue.

I can relate bro. ~ victus 16 d0023dx user
