      Hello lovely playmates, happy to bring a little bit of La Laguna to your door. I'm sure it'll be right up your street when you do get to visit. Been enjoying your latest video's as much as ever, it's a good way of feeling connected to you even when we can't be together. If that doesn't sound too creepy!

    Hi Mike 👋😊. Thanks for this lovely walk n talk. I liked the fun elements in this commentary 😅. Last time we were in La Laguna we enjoyed exploring the City. We then left the car parked there and took the modern tram 🚊 all the way down to Santa Cruz. The young lady at the ticket desk was so delighted that ‘us tourists’ had found the terminus and planned to do the return trip. She showered us with maps, leaflets, suggestions and chat; as the line built up behind us 👫🏻👭👬🏿👫🏻👬🏿😮. Happy days ! See you again soon, in the new year 👍. Cheers, Don 🙋‍♂️

      Hi Don, good to hear you had a good experience in La Laguna and enjoyed exploring the City. It's pretty unique, we liked it's bohemian charm too.
      The tram from and to Santa Cruz is so easy isn't it, it almost makes it an extension of the city. We're enjoying Madeira now as much as ever, it never seems to disappoint.
      How has your trip been this Christmas, sunny and enjoyable I hope. Have you made any films there? I'll pop by to see in fact.
      Speak again in the new year, toodloo for now. Mike and Yvonne

    I was five years in this city (1977-1982) as student; I see some different today, more trade and pubs specially, four or five then only!

    I'm guessing what I'm about to say makes sense but the structure of the house at 3:29 reminds me of the moroccan riads. very pretty architecture with the balconies and courtyards.

      I know exactly what you mean. I'd love a house with a central courtyard like that, though I guess I'd have to live somewhere hot. Hmmm...:)

      Good morning E, it's one of our favourite cities in Tenerife for that reason. Towns in the South of the island tend not to have so much character, so we like the North and this town is pretty special. Best wishes to you.

  • @bluebellbeatnik4945
    @bluebellbeatnik4945 Год назад +1

    what was winter like in Tenerife for you? I want to go over Christmas. Looks like it'll be fairly hot as well. Is it often overcast?

    • @LivingWalks
      @LivingWalks  Год назад +1

      Hiya - it was very pleasant for us. Could easily sunbath for the majority of our stay, but yes, it can sometimes get stormy and overcast (in Puerto De La Cruz or Santa Cruz). It's always going to be cooler in La Laguna, simply because of the altitude.
      The benefit of Tenerife is that the South of the Island is almost guaranteed to be drier and warmer, so if you find it's a bit that day in the North, you can just bus it down to warmer weather :)

    Dude! - at minute 29, you are Obviously standing in front of a Theatre / Concert Hall! I can see that from the posters on the facade - which features a lot of Classical music. Of course - what's behind those doors is a Stage, surrounded by Seating! Probably a Mezzanine, a bar/cafe and a ticket office! ....Jeeez!
