Wow … she’s so beautiful thank you so much for taking care of her you will never loose her she will always be around you guys she won’t forget all the love your gvng her god bless 🙏
❤😮😅😊😂❤ professional video without comments was great. For those of us that understand nature and for those of us that are rescue people understand that the call of nature, freedom in the outdoors , along with the risks, is still the best method for wild animal rehab. My bird is 33 years old this year and reading body language is important to a happy relationship. Thank you for sharing your video with the rest of us.
You were mother, father, sister, brother to this little slice of what makes this world beautiful. And how beautiful and generous your soul must be. You didn't walk by.....
Nibble + Lick = Niblick! I raised two eastern gray squirrels when I lived in Minnesota. This brings back many fond memories! Their behaviors and personalities were almost identical to Niblick. Both squirrels were “soft released” into the neighborhood like Niblick. The male, Toto, quickly dispersed to find his own territory. The female, Grubber, remained a faithful friend her whole life. She raised many families of babies in her nesting box in our back yard, but none were tame like her. My son raised an orphaned western gray squirrel and named her Lucky. Western gray squirrels are much larger than their eastern counterparts, and not as sociable - close bond with my son, and jealously protective of him. Lucky literally slept in bed with him and followed him everywhere, riding on his shoulders. All our squirrels used a litter box. They were very clean, playful, amazing animals.
There are a lot of squirrels on our property where we released her, and I am hoping that she was taken in by some of them. Based on where she goes after she visits, I’m thinking she found some friends because I have seen several in that area. I do hope that she brings some babies to visit some day!
Thank you Gary for saving a life that needed saving. For the love you show and the work you do. I'm full of admiration for anyone who has time for animals and obviously loves them and when they have to feed them around the clock and all that there is no lack of patience only love.
Watching her go back and forth between tree and her person was watching her having the best of both worlds. So, you CAN have your cake and eat it, too! I'm so glad she was saved. Anyone who watches this falls on love with Niblick. Thank you!
Wow, she grew so big and healthy because of your kindness. It is such a wonderful thing you have done. She is truly precious and living out her best life as a fully functioning and capable squirrel. Beautiful.
PERFECT rearing and release. I think she wants you up in the tree with her, HA. Lovely that she has discovered who and what she really IS. WELL DONE and thank you. She looks to be 'wilding up' quite well !!
I just had a baby squirrel adopt us here in thomasburg ont. Nursed him with an eye dropper and he is an absolute joy to have around. He behaves like a little monkey. Loves to have his play time and socializes with everyone who comes to the house. He sleeps a great deal of the time, and when we released him three times, he would not have any of it. Spent 2 days out in the tree, but wanted in at nite or. Last day he spent outside we had a horrible thunderstorm with lightening and thunder and wind and when it was over, wee Billie ran over over to the house and wanted in, and has refused to go out again, so he is quite happy to be indoors. He behaves the exact way this little guy in the video acts. Just love having him around. So glad to see so many kind hearted people out there that will take to time to help even a small animal in distress and realize the love they give you back.
That's a wonderful story! Niblick has totally embraced being what she was meant to be. She comes to the house from time to time, but she was the opposite of your little one. After the first time she really stayed out for a while, she kept wanting to go back out. Even when it got cold she wanted to stay in her first tree she picked. We put nuts out every night and morning to make sure she got enough to eat and even then as time went on she came by less and less. It was sad but fulfilling at the same time.
It must have been an amazing experience to help nurse an animal back to health and give them a second chance at life. We need more people like you in the world.
We just released our squirrel we raised for 5 months. We taught her everything we could and she was doing great. They kind of tell you they are ready to go on their way, leave the nest. She is now at a nature park and we have seen her doing her squirrel things and it is so rewarding that we were able to give her a chance at life. She was a victim of Hurricane Ian 2022, maybe 2 weeks old very very cold. We did a crash course on squirrels and learned so much that if is situation ever arises again we feel very confident we could do it again. Miss her very much but, like your own kids you need to let go when the times comes.
Thank you so much for saving this little cuite seen alot of squirrel videos this is by far the best one yet I see your a Vietnam vet Thank u for your service
You guys are awesome. It is so incredibly obvious how much you care for her & loved her. It was also apparent, that while she wanted to be a wild squirrel she had a hard time leaving the nest, so to speak. It is beautiful how she still checks in with you all & still has her favorite spot on top of your head! What a heartwarming video! Thank you for caring for our wildlife neighbors.
What a beautiful story! You are did a amazing job raising Niblick . Thankyou for your kindness and compassion with your new family member 🐿️ bless your heart ❤️ Awesome seeing how much she grew and how she learned to be a squirrel inside and out. Looks like she's living her best life! thanks for helping her 🥰🐿️
Back in the ‘80s my daughter rescued a very thin young squirrel ( looked more like a kangaroo) . Make a long story short I took care of it and later set it free in a park in Rochester, MN. I was fine until I looked back and she was looking at me like…..” where are you going? You forgot me!!!” Yup I cried… but she had to be free !!! ❤
YESSsss ! What @ChippySquirrels said! You thank us for watching ?? I say thanks for making my day! I had surgery 2 weeks ago, and this video gave me the gift of being part of the “real” world again…of nature and animals (my greatest loves❤) Miss Niblick is so very fortunate to have stumbled toward you, of all hoomans, who would see her for the magnificent creature she was and is and will be. Thank you from every corner of my heart, for being the kind of folks to do this, to value this little being and go to all the work of saving her. ( a little life that was very close to being lost), but you came to the rescue with Pedialyte and Puppy formula 😂, bless your hearts 🥰 A lovely lovely story ❤
This was a very well done video!!! Showing her from a tiny pup to a very happy healthy ending was a fun heart-warming journey. Thank you for sharing and for saving sweet Niblick. What a once in a lifetime kind of experience we don't all get.
Thank heavens you realized an empty box was no comfort whatsoever……she taught you a new layer of compassion. So glad you saved this little critter and learned to be a nurturer for her…..as she is for you.
The box was just what I had to hand when I got home…until I remembered I had a hamster cage! Did have to make a $90 run to Walmart for the formula, pedialyte, syringes, etc. But it was worth it to watch her grow and thrive.
@@garywillfordeal men are kind to animals. Thank you SO much, friend, for saving this beautiful girl and giving her safety, love and nurturing. You are wonderful and so is your family! ❤️👍
I love this! Anyone who says animals..whether big or small, don't have individual personalities and are capable of love...well, they need education like this! What an awesome family! I love her adventures, and I'm so glad you found her! She's a sassy girl!❤️
She transitioned to the outside just at the right age because around age 2 they get more aggressive and bite's everyone who is not the original caretakers. These bites are frequent, draw blood and hurt really bad. They are inherently wild and it would take many generations to breed them out those behaviors. Great job though. It was exactly my story with "Mikey" all they way down to finding buried nuts in your clothes and having to check for any surprises in your shoes every morning before you put them on. They don't pre or poop much but after them going "wherever", your house will start to smell like a barn and he absolutely terrorized his 4 cat brothers all day, everyday except one who bit him really hard and knew he couldn't play rough with Mr. Pip anymore because he would kill him easily!! Anyways it was an awesome experience raising one but not sure I would do it again. GL to anyone who takes on this adventure. It's very rewarding yet chaotic and some difficult times. He caught a virus one day, we saw he was sick and not feeling good, then like he came he was gone the next day literally. The death was hard to deal with as well. Just fyi everone.
I especially love the part where she's grooming you while grooming her own self & bruxing with her mouth (sign of contentment) then slips around on your head ☺️☺️☺️
Gary. You rock. That little face looking at you when you first took her outside in the blanket. That was soul to soul. And you kept her warm. Thank you. This is so awesome. Hugs from a stranger across the miles. 🙋🐿️💓
I loved your video about your sweet friendly squirel, she is so beautiful. I loved the way she goes to bed and tucks herself in draws her legs in with herself and calls it a day.thank you for shearing

Lovely little squirrel soul that remembers her kind human friend. I love these stories told in very few words, not like in certain rescue videos where a lot of words are scrambled into some minutes like reciting a text, which hinders a bit the appreciation of the rescue.
Your story is beautiful, I am so happy you kept a video log and are sharing it with the world! My kids got excited seeing you save little Niblick and then gave her a choice to live outdoors and they are certain she will never forget her human family. You know your story or Squirrel tale would make an awesome children’s book!! Blessings!!
What an amazing story! She has the best of both worlds! In case you question or doubt, her love for you will never change or be forgotten. I think the only reason she'd leave, might be due to a predator. Have you thought of installing a nesting box for her. & perhaps an xs doggy door? Wouldn't it be great to film her babies!😋
Oh 😂 That was so much fun to watch! Thank you 🙏 for saving Niblick! She is so sweet! Y’all are DA BOMB 🎉for taking care such great care of her! God bless y’all for all you do!
