They knew there was more nuts. How fun for them! I keep nuts in a airtight jar. If I leave them on a chair or table in the yard I come back to teeth marks on the lid. One day they will figure it out and get the prize 😂

Each course was very involved, but without fail, they always managed to overcome every maze, baffle, puzzle & ‘trap’ & were always rewarded with a mountain of walnuts for their troubles. They’re just such determined, brave, inquisitive & above all else keen little creatures. I’ll always love them 🤗❤️🐿

This is my favorite one so far! I love putting puzzles out for my neighborhood squirrels to solve to get nuts. They are so smart and the only animal that actually figures them out. They are the best and so fun to watch! 😊💖🐿️
I love all the personalities and their different reactions and techniques. We had one when I was young that would come into the kitchen and go in a drawer and help itself to peanuts. Very bold. My Granny trained it. She was also a squirrel whisperer.

I used to have the squirrel feeder that has the window where you load with loose corn & a wooden lid, when they get a piece of corn the lid would make a sound closing that would alert me they were eating! Bought it from a store. After dark I would hear them eating and it was the little flying squirrels after dark! So much fun! I'm in bear country now & it would become a bear feeder if I put it out, ha!
