  • The seat belt cutter is not great like most belt cutters otherwise i suppose it is ok for the price but I would look for a better ones if you really want a decent emergency knife.

Honestly..... I see virtually nothing wrong with this knife. You aren't going to get a knife comparable to one of those $300 plus knives for $15 at Harbor Freight. This thing is well built and it will cut seatbelts because unlike the stiff cardboard with the plastic in between a seatbelt will give on either side of the cut allowing you to pull the belt cutter thru. I picked this knife up today and it is anything but "cheesy" and I plan to EDC it. Mine was sharp as a razor out of the package and functions perfectly. I guess people have different opinions about things but at the end of the day I'd rather spend $15 on a work beater than $300 on some big name knife that does the same exact thing as the cheap knife. It cuts things..... What more can one expect from a knife?

I bought this knife for work and love it... I am a concrete truck driver and use a knife for various task through out my day. It is not a Case or Buck but it is a very good work knife.

Catus, you are the best reviewer of obscure tools, and even some relevant ones. Keep it up!

I agree. Been watching for some time (I slack on hitting subscribe though but am now) and I like that it's just a dude in his house going over what he has or bought rather than being yet another shill. No "feels good in the hand" standard script stuff, just is it good or not

What made the Gordon different is its aluminum handle.

I’ve got a random generic one that says “Jeep” on it (was a gift). No clue who made it. But it’s way better than this knife even though it has the same features.

Like someone said in this comment section, you need to tear first, then you can rip it, and you need to go in angle for that, and of course, if you don't have the correct material then don't try to said bad things about it, not even one of your knives did it at the end.

With seat belts you cut on a bias once it starts to shear, the blade should have no problem going through at an angle... you just need to get a " tear" started
