This movie was honestly amazing, but it was supposed to be a piccolo only movie at first, and I really would've wished they kept it as that. The movie's only two major problems are due to Gohan's inclusion.
1. Why did Gohan suddenly stop training after the tournament of power? He should've learned his lesson by now.
2. Where does the beast form come from? Why didn't gohan unlock this after seeing his father beaten up during the Moro arc?
If Toei hadn't convinced Toriyama to make Gohan the center of the movie, I feel like we could've gotten some great new Namekian lore or something. It's always been odd to me that the Granolah arc introduces some cool new Namekian lore, but never really expands on it besides being used to justify dragon balls on Planet Cereal.
1. it was set 2 years after the last arc and he didnt completely stop training as he learnt the beam. And you could also say he became reliant on goku and vegeta to do the protecting after seeing their strength from TOP and Moro so he has no reason to train hard (thats why piccolo in the final battle between cell max says goku and vegeta arent coming). Also he hasnt been punished for not training because time and time again even after not training, things go more than right for him so hes kinda been conditioned into being this way. although it is annoying
2. He still had a sense of security as there were multiple stronger combatants on his side so it wasnt all or nothing for him and he was expecting the senzu beans to come in soon + it takes him time to transform and has to consciously try do it for it to happen (as shown when piccolo tells him to power up as much as he can) but instead after moro donuts goku he attacks instantly and then gets knocked down.
3. Also you could say he didnt go into this form vs cell because his body couldnt handle it/ he wasnt mature
This is just the logic i use when trying to understand it and i think it works well when using what we know but i doubt thats the logic they were using and it just happened to work out for them because honestly i think they just wanted to give gohan a new form to sell tickets
The movie uses 2 scenes to imply he didn't stop training. The first is when he blocks Piccolo's attack and the second is when he does the SBC at the end of the movie.
I do agree though, I would have preferred a focus on Piccolo though I do feel that if Gohan wasn't included then Pan wouldn't have been featured as much in the movie and that would be a shame, as I liked Piccolo and Pan's bond.
Facts
Piccolo was the protagonist of the movie though. But his role in the show has been for the most part as a guide for Gohan and a fighter with wisdom who can breakdown and come up with a plan for the situation. Plus to answer your two questions this movie was mostly for casual fans and nostalgia that doesn't include the Moro and Granola arcs. In the manga adaptation we most likely see a Gohan who has kept up his training from the Moro saga and a more in depth explanation of they power ups.
All things considered, this was a great movie, but unless the manga expands on Beast Gohan, I will never like that form. Also not a fan of Dr Hedo creating andriods as strong as literal deities, but I guess we already knew andriods were busted when Gero created andriods stronger than frieza

@@prolastmedia6171 It's the same concept as Gero creating andriods stronger than the literal emporer of the universe. Frieza was the strongest mortal being in the entire universe at the same, and Gero just randomly pops 2 andriods into existence who are somehow hundreds of times more powerful than Frieza. Hedo creating god level andriods really isn't any worse, especially because its established that Hedo has been some kind of super genius since birth. It's the same thing, but just the DBS version.

This is one of my favorite DB movies. I was skeptical about if I’d like the CG animation for it, but as soon as it started I definitely liked the CG animation more than I thought I would. And yes I prefer hand drawn animation. I absolutely loved Pan in this movie, she was so adorable. One thing I don’t like about modern Dragon Ball is that the writers seem to always make Goku really stupid about things that he shouldn’t be. Piccolo going under cover and getting Pan to play along was absolutely great. I will say that the new form for Piccolo only really works when he’s giant. The new form for Gohan probably needs to be slightly altered in terms of hair length, but that’s about the only negatives I have with it. I absolutely loved the Gammas. Cell Max wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I expected it to try to do another iteration of Perfect Cell, but was grateful that it was different. Overall this movie was a lot of fun.
I loved how it showed a human perspective of trunks cutting up frieza

Piccolo is on fire in this movie - literally. Daimao hulk smash Gamma! Love it.
I enjoyed the movie, it was a tad derivative but it was fun and I enjoyed the interactions between Pan & Piccolo.

@@prolastmedia6171Again, your wrong. Your comparing a 3 year old TRAINED pan, to a 4 year old UNTRAINED gohan who had never seen combat in his life until he met Raditz. Pan has already proven she can hold her own when it counts. She takes down a RR soldier 5x her size with one punch, and dodges multiple bullets in DBZ implied he had been training Trunks since Trunks was a mere child.
@@prolastmedia6171 Also "worst parenting"? You can't be serious? Krillin and Chichi allowed a 5 year old Gohan to go fight the emperor of the universe back in the namek saga. Just to make things more clear, Chichi allows her 5 YEAR OLD SON to travel halfway across the galaxy to fight the most powerful army in the universe on the same planet as the most powerful man in the universe. And this occured just MONTHS after her son was almost killed trying to fight aliens who had previously killed her husband. And the only backup Chichi provides Gohan is krillin. On the otherhand, Piccolo made sure Pan was safe while in RR custody, and her dad was even there if things got rough. At this point, it's obvious to me that not much thinking is going on in that old noggin of yours.

I bought a digital copy, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite good, wasn't big on the animation but other than that no complaints.
To be ohnest the movie wasnt that bad but man did they waste potential in cell max gohan goten and trunks too. Besides Charakters getting a power up from a asspull they could have at least tried to connect the new gohan form to a event or from the trauma from the past to make it less cheap. The whole movie would have needet more time. To me the whole movie feels just half baked the shuld have given it more time
1) Battle of the Gods, 2) Broly, 3) Super Hero, 4) Resurrection of Freiza.
I'm actually surprised how many people are mad at you just because you don't share the same opinion as them. Some of these peeps are actually unhinged. Even though you liked the movie, you even pointed out some of its flaws, so I'm not sure why people are mad.
Cell Max reminded me too much of Bio Broly.
My main issue with the movie is the same with Super, which is how they oversimplify character traits. Yes Gohan is into his studies but he ain’t that obsessed and tone depth as the movie makes him. Nor is Goku so simple minded he doesn’t know what meditation is. That concept is literally part of why he can access UI
Movie was a bit of a mixed bag for me.
Definitely had moments I really did enjoy and for the most part it looked great, but there were some story/character elements that left me scratching my head a bit.
Overall good, but I did enjoy the previous installment more.

So I watched this film for the first time yesterday (I didn’t watch it in theaters) I was under the impression that it’s great but broly was overall better. But on that same day I went back & rewatched it twice equaling to 3 times in one day & bonesly I think I might prefer super hero to broly now. I dislike the art style choice. It’s not bad at all I just prefer 2D overall.
Broly may be a better film but I might prefer super hero enjoyment wise

I agreed with a lot of what you said, so rather than just rehashing it, I'll simply give my opinion: The movie was good.
But I still can't get over Goku saying that meditation isn't training, like wtf...
The only thing I hated of the movie was Gohan getting a new transformation out of his ass.
@@prolastmedia6171 I don't think the problem is Gohan getting the form itself. It's just that there was no buildup to it like super Saiyan 2, original super Saiyan,super Saiyan god and ultra instinct, the form isn't hinted at or anything it's like the writers went "here Gohan a new form, ok bye" it just happens it was underwhelming. With piccolo it at least makes sense since he is connected to shenron. I thought the film was decent, solid 6/10. Not bad but not good either. Piccolo saves this film in my opinion.

If they’re adding few changes in the DBS Super Hero Arc, they should add Colonel Violet, like how they add Ginyu in the Resurrection F Arc
Them having the video of trunks killing Frieza isn't a plothole. If you look closely at the video he shows Hedo, it's clearly from DBZ:Kakarot. Magenta simply purchased a copy of kakarot to obtain the footage.
The movie was a lazy rehash of everything we’ve seen before, sometimes even shot for shot. I’m glad for fans of Gohan and Piccolo, the movie gave them something to enjoy, but I can’t pretend that the movie was good.
Here's how I would have changed the movie. 1st Gamma 1 & 2 are not stronger than Piccolo unless they are fighting together, 2nd Gohan joins the fight not against the Gamma's but Cell Max, 3rd Piccolo awakens his Orange form against Cell Max after Gohan gets seriously hurt, 4th Orange Piccolo humiliates Cell Max and kills him with a Special Beam Cannon, 5th Gamma 2 survives, 6th no Beast form.
Unpopular opinion, but this was the best DB content since Z ended for me by far. This is how the franchise should have progressed all along!

I feel the main reason that Cell Max is criticized is because his comparison to Cell himself. Being a walking, shouting doomsday device/Kaiju hybrid isn’t a bad thing, but it needs to have its own legs to stand on and not be seen as a lesser copy of a popular and well written villain. If Cell Max wasn’t… well Cell Max and something else entirely, I believe that people would far less critical and not as upset.
I loved it specially since piccolo got his shine and gohan using special beam canon. Plus it opens up the dark dragon ball saga
I’m a huge Piccolo fan, so this film was a godsend. These past 30 years of seeing him discarded and mistreated have been a nightmare.
So when I found that that not only would he be a protagonist, but also receive a MAJOR power up (which then become TWO major power ups), I literally couldn’t believe it.
He was EASILY the best part of this film and proved that he can push a narrative and work as a protagonist.
I saw this movie for the first time a few nights ago. I remember seeing the promo posters around LA on my commute to work and being ‘Super’ interested.
Terrible pun asides, Piccolo has been my favorite character since I first watched DBZ as a kid on Tooonami.
Watching it with my kid was a riot, and my spicy opinion is that it’s more enjoyable than the Broly movie.

Toriyama said he wanted to call the form "Final Gohan" originally instead of "Beast Gohan". Which makes me think they want to keep the door open for Gohan to get another random powerup after he stops training AGAIN since apparently Gohan is not just a negligent father to Pan but also a liar. Remember his promise to keep training after the ToP? But yeah at least its not the "Goku and Vegeta show"

dont forget Piccolo too, since apparently Picolo (who sacrificed his life for Gohan in the past and had a long personal deep friendship/bond with him) now seems to have no problem manipulating him and using his daughter behind his back in a scheme to make him train again... but its cool because "at least theyre relevant again"? I guess every character in the DB cast has to be a callous egoistic or manipulative scumbag now
how can the anime "create a rift" when the anime telling of the ToP preceeded the manga by several months at the time when Super was still airing? Are people still defending Toyotaro and trying to blame Toei for everything thats wrong?

I just watched this movie last night and I liked it for the most part but the art style they went with is not for me I would have much preferred the hand drawn style, I personally liked the focus on Piccolo and the Gammas were nice new characters and seeing Pan get some screen time with Piccolo was nice character progression also Broly training with Goku and Vegeta on Beerus's planet even though we didn't see much of that was all good stuff but Whis looked really bad everyone's feet looked off Gohan's new forms hair looked too long and had a weird angle to it, so for me it was a decent movie with aspects that I really enjoyed but had strange art styling choices that took away from the overall experience for a long time fan I would give it a 6.5/10 not bad for fans but could have been better with a few detail changes

100%! I collect blue-ray and 4k physical copies of my favorite movies. Many movies offer a digital copy for use when I'm not sitting in my "home theater" (family room in the basement with 9.1 surround sound). I still collect CDs of my favorite bands as well and "rip" them in "lossless" format to my computer.
I don’t feel like Gohan couldn’t sense Piccolo, they’re showing he’s out of practice and doesn’t have his guard up. Similarly, I don’t think the weighted clothes were too heavy rather just caught him off guard (think how a muscle hurts when you exercise it for the first time in a while).
Also, he’s not necessarily an entomologist, perhaps a biologist currently focusing on bugs - leading into his study of Ki as shown in Dragon Ball Online.
The Goku not understanding meditation is dumb though. We’ve seen him do it with both Kami and Whis, and it was the whole premise of Ultra Instinct… and Super Saiyan Blue… and arguably (as you said) the ascended Super Saiyan base form state from the Cell Saga.
I'm glad that they did this but honestly what really is upsetting is that like you said, the power scaling. Why did they HAVE to make Gohan and Piccolo stronger than Goku and Vegeta? The villains didn't need to be at their level because THEY WERE NOT THERE. They had the perfect opportunity to scale the villains down a little bit but no they couldn't resist I guess.
I do like the movie over all but I will say that Gohan beast is just way too much of a rip off of Super Saiyan 2. I mean I like Orange Piccolo simply because Piccolo deserves something after all he's been through (Especially in Super).
Just to let you know, Piccolo isn't stronger than Goku and Vegeta because they're only scaling them to the last power ups they saw in both the Tournament of Power and Broly. They have no clue how strong Goku and Vegeta are now.

I am of seemingly a very minority opinion who thinks the anime adaptations of Battle of Gods and Resurrection F resonated more with me. Obviously not as much of a visual spectacle, but I feel like the little changes to the story were logical and more fleshed out, and it got its time to develop more while the movies were just too short for what it was dealing with and were done in a flash.
As for Super Hero, it definitely didn't top Broly, but it didn't need to. It was just all right. A fun time. I also like when Dragon Ball goes more slice of life to focus on the characters' dynamics with each other. Cell Max was just a bit odd conceptually and design-wise. You are so on point that he is more akin to Hirudegarn than Cell. The animation looked the worst during the beginning car drive with Magenta and Hedo, I think. And I thought the Beerus perving on Cheelai thing was REALLY weird and out of character. Just seeing Piccolo's home life was the best thing, that was this movie's equivalent of the juicy Bardock/Frieza lore Broly brought. Dende casually upgrading the dragon balls to do 3 wishes is a HUGE deal for the rest of the series henceforth

I felt the same way about dragonball super broly. 1 its my favorite dragonball movie. I loved it in theaters and when it came out i got it on d day and ive noticed the more times i watch it the more and more i love it. Now with super hero on the other hand. Its a dragonball movie so yes im gonna love it whether its actually good or not. That being said i did NOT like the CGI at all it completely killed the whole movie for me. Remake it in 2D and ill watch it on repeat 😂

I also got the chance to finally watch the movie this week. After being caught up with the manga for years now and sticking to it along with various other mangas of course. I didn’t find it rewarding or anything especially with these last four chapters of DBS since they made it center around this whole rivalry between Trunks and Dr. Hedo. But overall the movie just feels like an advertisement for what’s to come with figures and games specifically S.H. Figuarts and new levels for the Xenoverse franchise because that whole last act is definitely gonna be something in the next Xenoverse installment. But the movie is still fun I guess.
One thing I do give it props though is how they underutilized Goku and Vegeta and the way they did it was genius imo. It totally fits the Super era and doesn’t feel like a cop out. I also loved the way they handled Piccolo’s full potential but Gohan I had a problem with but all in all it’s a fun time and pleasantly hilarious installment.
It was a nice unboxing :)
Now time to give some headcannon opinions:
Dr. Gero thought wasn't necessary to collect the info but didn't knew Red has descents, or at least, not mention, Red Army could rebuilding that same time, so they were spying Z-Fighters where Gero was only focus on best of best...
I may be wrong but was never stated that Gammas were same level as present Goku and Vegetta... remember, Gohan didn't saw Broly vs Goku and Vegetta, only Piccolo.. but again, my unscripted opinion not gonna do much difference ;)

The 2 best Parts about this Movie are the Music and Bulma being framed to be the Evil Overlord commanding the Z-Fighters to take over the world.. that was Brilliant :D
Goku questioning about meditation is something that bothers me A LOT, like... Dragon Ball Super did everything it could to ruin Goku's character completely and it's getting worse every single time. This man... Has literally trained martial arts his entire life and then went to train with GOD himself (Kami), then went to the time chamber and thought of a way to master the Super Saiyan and go beyond it and you honestly want me to believe that throughout this entire journey of becoming pretty much a master of fighting, he believes that meditating is NOT training? Bruh...
I still feel you misunderstand that Toriyama at the end of the day only gave the anime staff and Toyotaro Plotlines regarding a lot of what they adapted. It’s not that those people aren’t capable of delivering a story it’s just that these movies have a lot more to go on for a movie in comparison to an anime and Manga which are pretty much more lengthier adaptions where as Toriyama tends to have way more involvement regarding the films.
I’m not saying there wasn’t problems with the tv series or manga but Toriyama himself doesn’t get as heavily involved unless it’s a film which is why I feel the films do better by default.
The People working on the anime is not to be completely faulted when they don’t necessarily have a complete picture of what to adapt to be something coherent.

I went and saw it in theaters, just like I did Broly. And while I did like the Super Broly movie, it's mostly just a mesmerizing spectacle to behold. It is so fucking gorgeous. But, looking back now that's about all I go back for it too, just to watch a good fight. That's just me. I'm all about the story, but the story just kinda stops and we fight for about an hour. With Super Hero, idk. I walked away from it feeling better, even though like most people the CG didn't bother me but I would have preferred 2-D. It was more of slice of life stuff and I very, very much enjoyed it. I've watched it already way more than Broly. But, also, there are things that I didn't like about it. If I could have a movie like this, with the animation of Broly, I'd be so fucking happy.
Loved the movie. Glad they did piccolo justice. Also hope they continue making gohan be good and have a presence in the series. And not be lame like he was kinda in the end of z and start of super. He's the next generation along with goten and present trunks. And they should hold up and have better roles in the future of the series. Pan would be cool if she grew up in super and got transformations. I'd like to see a spin off series with the hybrids being the main characters. And give the side characters more time to shine.

The movie was mediocre. Not bad, but not close to be good either.
The animation was mostly good ( except for some bits and the Goku vs Vegeta fight), the focus on Piccolo was welcomed, but Gohan was as moronic as ever with him not learning his lesson for the 50th time. The power ups were quite contrived and poorly thought out over all - Gohan got a random unexplained rage form and Piccolo wished himself to become stronger than fucking Jiren.
Cell Max was trash, easily the worst thing about the movie. He can't even be called a character.
The Gammas were the best thing about the movie, Gamma 2 in particular, his sacrifice was an iconic moment, most memorable bit in the movie for me.

Comparing even golden Frieza to cell max, cell's return was a huge disappointment. Mute brute like you said, not even in his perfect form appearance and og broly was more interesting. Is any reason given why goten and trunks didn't come help piccolo earlier? They don't even turn super Saiyan pre failed fusion. Then beast Gohan happens, he does one kick then special beam cannons cell max and that's all we see of the form. Imo definitely the weakest as a whole of the four since battle of gods. Overall I was quite disappointed and it was a little too corny in parts. But the bulma shenron part was very funny and piccolo's stuff was great.
The movie received a lot of deserved criticism and hate before the release. But after release everyone seems to ignore it even tho the issues are still there. Choosing to cherish the nostalgia rather than sense. Dragon Ball just has something about it that draws people in nobody how terrible things get.
People just want more of their favorite series and try to cope and claim that the horrible new releases aren't that bad or even say they are really good. You see this with Star wars fans, Resident evil fans, lotr fans, they just like the universe and dont care about quality as long as its more of that universe

In all seriousness though, the only major criticism the movie received before the release was about the cgi. However, the CGI we saw in the movie ended up being a lot better than shown in the trailers, which is why the CGI was better recieved after the movie came out. For example, compare the CGI from the Gohan vs Gamma 1 fight in the trailer, to the actual movie. Everything looks a lot smoother and more polished in the movie.
The people who worked on Broly and Super Hero are the same guys who worked on previous stuff. They always knew what they were doing, they were just faced with MASSIVE production issues they weren't responsible for.

Overall I thought the movie was fun but I found the Broly movie was better. The 3D animation turned out better than I had thought but I found the fighting scenes in this movie very lacking, I did enjoy Goku and Vegetas sparing match. Piccolo and and Gohan new forms were pretty cool but kinda came out of no where, though I'm sure the manga chapters might expand on this. The story was interesting and was glad to see many characters on screen but I did not like the "Villains" at all. I've rewatched the Broly movie many times because of the spectacular fight scenes/animation, the 3D part was pretty bad though, but I really don't see my self doing the same for Super Hero.

I'll comment what I think, then revisit the comment once I listen to the video. Right now, I despise the movie.
I like that it gives Piccolo the spotlight, but the rest? Horrible, even if we disregard my personal distaste for the visuals.
Beast Gohan? Horrible, nonsensical concept. Even worse execution.
Villain? Bland as all hell.
Fight scenes? Honestly, and especially the final one after Gohan transforms... Underwhelming!

I watched this movie and as a whole it's okay, but there are specific parts that make me hate this movie, so i don't want to list everything that annoys me about the movie. Now I'll say briefly what would make this movie much better than this mess we got, so if the movie removed Bulma, and everyone on the Beerus's planet, Gohan and maybe Dende or at least have Mr. Popo help Dende, and if the movie focuses exclusively on Piccolo and Pan although more on Piccolo, and with those changes the movie would have been much better since Piccolo would have solved most of the things on his own, and maybe recovered his reputation as the previously seen smart member of the whole gang of fighters.
I think a better way to resolve this issue of Gohan's writing as a fighter would to revise his complacency in this movie:
The revision starts as Piccolo asks Gohan about his training like the original story. When Gohan states that Goku and Vegeta could take care of theses future threats, instead being genuine about that statement , he is sweating and has a nervous expression on his face, signifying that he isn't being honest and is hiding something. When Piccolo leaves, Gohan deletes his webpage of insects and we see a new webpage with the title "Groundbreaking Science: KI Control" leading to us the audience confused; why is Gohan is concerning himself with KI if he is not doing anything with it. The another part of the revision revision is when Gohan unleashes his Ultimate Form, Piccolo is commenting in his head in amazement that the power boost of the Ultimate Form is similar to Kaioken Blue and Blue evolution, leading to Piccolo asking himself "How is Gohan this strong if he stopped training?" to which he is slowly picking putting the pieces together as time goes. The final piece of this mystery would be when Gohan unleashes the Special Beam Cannon. Piccolo confronts Gohan about the technique and Gohan finally confesses, that never slacked off after the T.O.P. and that he knew Piccolo was in disguise when revisited his house but chose not say anything let things play out. The reason he in his room for so long was that he was creating a book about KI control. After the all the battles the Z Fighters had over the years, Gohan feels like it's finally time to introduce KI control to the rest of the world. Gohan does express his regret about not spending time with Videl and Pan as much he should do to wanting to finish the book as soon as possible, leading to him realize he still has so much room for improvement, not just a fighter and scholar but also as a family man . Gohan declares that he truthfully never had any intention of just leaving everything to Goku and Vegeta, and that he will do his part in defense of the Earth.
On the subject of Gohan’s new form, I personally think the that Gohan’s Beast Form should have been built up after the T.O.P. Like he would training with Old Kai, and that he taps into the Oozaru power in the form of a technique, similarly the way Goku did in King Piccolo Saga. And in this movie, Gohan manages to perfectly combine the Ultimate Form and the Oozaru power and ascends beyond its normal output, achieving the Beast Form. the form is different visually: the hair is wilder, with two locks framing his shoulders and he regains his tail but it’s white like his hair and he gains Piccolo-like fangs. Gohan in this form demonstrates a duality of personality; he can portray himself calm and tranquil but in another instance, he can become equally menacing and intimidating. These two separate demeanors would each be shown in response to certain situations. Furthermore, I believe that the form should be named “Kaio Beast” to perfectly reference the training Gohan has undergone with the Kaioshins and the power of the Oozaru that he has mastered.

Best part of this movie was Gohans fresh cut. Way better than the traditional short adult Gohan hair.

what music? the OST is easily the most forgettable in any animated DB product. DBS Broly had tracks that sounded like the kind of awesome boss fight music you could see in a Final Fantasy game whereas DBS Super Hero just had really generic music with the typical "rising strings" gimicks that Hollywood superhero/fantasy movies always use. Apart from the main theme maybe how can you say this soundtrack is good?
Magenta's mother might be colonel Violet, who i assume was impregnated by Red before goku destroyed the R&R Army. Violet was the second most loyal after Officer Black. She abandoned red and escaped during the fighting with Goku. Red + Violet = Magenta.

They just need to go ahead and retcon the ending of Z. Its too restrictive, and I think most feel the ending was subpar to begin with. With Goku jr and Vegeta jr being silly ideas to begin with

This was ok at best. It has moments you like but man the writing for this movie was me just putting my hands on my face every time. The dialogue didn't feel natural. It just felt like exposition or explaining things that really didn't need to be explained. Characters forgetting they can do things. Piccolo oh I forgot I can get big. The 3D animation was annoying at times. Overall 5/10.

@@RaisinbranLegend kinda, the tournament of power read a bit in that direction (see having roshi and kuririn in there, for example). Like, with the usual scaling it would just make no sense at all, so they reinforced a lot the idea of skill, strategy, etc. Other points in DBS kinda gestured the same way, but at the end of the day we at the same time never had as many different transformations one after the other. I just find it a bit weird, is all.
@@user-sl6gn1ss8p I understand how that could be interpreted, but it has never been a main idea. Look how easily people like Roshi, Krillin, and Tien were eliminated. It's not that these dudes were weak, its the fact that their opponents were weak as well. The tournament of power showed that the fodder from the other universes have an average power level of around 1 million, which is where Krillin and Tien logically are.

I only liked the tournament arcs in Super and I loved this movie.
Best arc was Black Goku. Lots of potential there, especially in the beginning. Gave me a similar feeling as DBZ. Then I don’t know what happened.

It's a far more immersive and intense filmgoing experience. The sound quality with Doby Atmos alone is worth the price of admission, then factor in the large screen that fills your entire field of view. If I'm going to the theater to see a film, I see it in the best version available to me. Whether it's a Nolan film(70mm IMAX), Tarantino film(Hateful 8's 70mm release), or an animated movie like this.
It all helps to bring you to closest to what the filmmakers intended.
