Its a very reliable product! As a 5’8” individual with an 80” rack regular barbells were out of the way with no concerns. Specialty bars dipped too low. If you have a 90+ rack there are absolutely no issues w clearance!
how close to your head was the specialty bar/which specialty bar? I'm 5'6 and wondering if i can make it work with my kadillac bar (i won't be jumping inside the rack)
I’m assuming that would work fine since the marrs bar does in his set up. I think he has it towards the back crossmember like me so you can rest the handles on there.
The idea is great I fixed some wll mounted on my rack and did similar storage and love it, it is right there where you need it an don't have to struggle with bringin the bar inside the rack
Can't wait... ordered one the second I saw you share on instagram a few weeks back. Mine gets delivered Friday to hold my duffalo bar and texas bench bar. I am desperately out of space in my little garage!
Sweet! My Power Bar is a pain to get in the rack due to gym width. Even with Ares, I could put this toward the front of the rack fine. The power bar is only used in the rack. My transformer bar would be even better stored like this since my rack is now 47” wide and I could put the hangers on the inside if needed.
Very cool to see Dave release these! I understand the black and white makes sense for an initial release and as you said, Brandon, Dave is a one man operation just starting out. However, especially for the price, I'd like some color options. I know that may sound a little odd, but these attach to my power rack, which is the central focus of my basement gym. I'd like blue and yellow. Would you want a differrent color scheme semi-permanently attached to your rack, Brandon? I 100% love the product, and I plan to buy a pair as soon as color options become available. I also like Dave's content on @darkolifts!
Yeah I see an easy fix for this is to leave the metal hooks itself raw and allow the end user to paint if needed, then keep the UHMW black as that's a pretty standard color for most.
The only caveat there is that it will hang down and might get in the way of a 2nd bar. I tried my rogue mg-4CN and a 2nd bar and it worked, but there was contact between the 2.
I would suggest further that their center piece is made wider - at least 3” - so that one can mount it on uprights. That way one can store one bar in rack and another outside! You can share to them and see if they’ve thought about it.
I literally use one of those amazon hooks and drilled a hole in it to bolt. Those barbells hanging in the rack basically lives and never leaves the rack lol.
Hi, Brandon. In your opinion, if one was to mount these anchors at the rear of a Rogue RM4...would there still be room to do overhead presses inside the rack? I think so, but a sanity check would be great.
Nice concept and design adds a custom feel to the process. Off topic, what is the upgrade to the trolley systems called? Went through some older video's and can't find anything on it.
I think it's a good idea... I've purchased 3D printed storage holders for the top of the rack from ETSY it's a little less pricy BUT this is more convenient for bars used inside the rack. Great idea nonetheless, thanks for the video.
How many inches under the 3x3 crossmember does the bar sit with the anchors? I have 80” uprights and trying to determine if I will hit my head on the bar ?
This is a really cool product. I would get it solely to be able to do pull ups with my barbell for the knurl. I got my rep rack with the 2 inch pull-up bar to force my grip but def would help to go back and forth a bit. However the standard rep pull-up bar is only 60 dollars. So since storage isn’t my main reason it’s a bit unnecessary for myself. Def love the look though
Very cool idea - will definitely head over to Dave's site. I see your pullup 'bar' setup is different these days. Is that just the rogue squat handle? Did you have to do any customization to the hole diameter to make it fit the 1" holes on the cage?
Hey Brandon, did you had any back injuries? Can you do a video about it if you haven't. I think you would do great interview with Stuart McGill about spine and lifting
Definitely a cool product. Would be useful for my tiny home gym. Have you done OHP in the rack with the anchor and barbell there? How does that work out? I have a Titan T2 rack and I do my OHPs in the rack.
@@BasementBrandon thanks for the quick reply. I have a Rogue RM6 with a surplus strength pulley in the middle. The front cross member is a rogue multi grip pull up attachment. I would want to put it near the middle posts kinda tucked under the surplus so it’s not in the way of me doing pull ups .hope that makes sense
@@BasementBrandon Have you done a review of the Vendetta Strength and your setup? Looking at their website and didn't see that combo with the Rogue trolley arms. Looks sick and would like to learn more
@@BasementBrandon I could relate. Been holding off on buying them. But there is so much hype around them I seriously have FOMO lol The only thing that would probably make them functional imo is the gym pin with the vendetta adapters. Could replace the need of super heavy weight dumbbells. & can do countless of movements like chest flies etc.
Good advice as always. Until 2:31. Please don't take it out whenever you want... Jokes aside, for us shorter guys/girls, watch out for overhead press inside the rack as will get in the way. But if you do that outside the rack then no issues. Nice idea. Moving bars in/out of rack is a pain in a small home bedroom.
@@BasementBrandon Maybe not bad for who’s making it, but overall it’s kinda steep. Maybe I’m just too familiar with big company ordering where things are made in the mass.

Meh I came back looking for a solution to two adjacent bars running into each other. For 100 bucks Id rather just get another set of j cups and mount them high on the rack.
"why get a rack if you don't have space to keep barbells" You're looking at this backwards: Barbell Anchor provides great solution to place barbells within rack if you have limited space in your home gym.

This is such a clever and cool looking idea for a common home gym problem!
Works pretty well!
The best part I’d say is it looks awesome! Thanks for the look man!
Hah luckily Dave and I share color preferences
This is a great idea. I've been looking for a way to store my 65lb SSB inside the rack since I hate taking it in and out.
I’m assuming that would work fine since the marrs bar does in his set up. I think he has it towards the back crossmember like me so you can rest the handles on there.
Cool idea. I hope this catches on. Could be a great way to store odd shaped specialty bars.
agreed! I think it works best with traditional straight bars only b/c frames or other pieces of specialty bars can get in the way.
Great idea. I used another pair of J cup and mount it high. But still have a curl bar laying around.
Oh good call. I do have a lot of cups!

Great idea for those with high racks
All racks matter!

Exactly the type of solution I've been looking for with limited space and no plan to drill into my cinder block basement walls.

I literally use one of those amazon hooks and drilled a hole in it to bolt. Those barbells hanging in the rack basically lives and never leaves the rack lol.

It really is!
Hi, Brandon. In your opinion, if one was to mount these anchors at the rear of a Rogue RM4...would there still be room to do overhead presses inside the rack? I think so, but a sanity check would be great.
I think this is going to depend on if you can OHP in the rack as is, but yes if mounted towards the back you should still have space with a RM4
Great idea! Only problem for me is it will cost more than $90 because I'll be tempted to buy more barbells 😂
It's a gateway product I guess 🤪
Hoping this should work on a Monster Lite rack?
Yep, would use the 2 smaller holes on the sides of the anchor.
Wish I had a full size rack to buy one of these but I only have a squat stand. Are they made in the USA?

Hey Brandon, was wondering if you'd be able to do some testing with reracks and whether the bars have a chance of dropping..
I could prob test it but it’s angled down and has a lip so the bar would have to jump 2” or so up and out, so don’t see it happening
Hey Brandon, did you had any back injuries? Can you do a video about it if you haven't.

I think it would prog get in the way if you have bars mounted there. I'm taller with long arms so tend to OHP outside the rack.
How about some of these that mount to the floor joists for us basement dwellers?
I've seen people use some of those larger rubber coated screw hooks from Home Depot.
