- Today I show you all the Shorty Bar from Darko Lifting. A lot of people responded well to his first product, the Barbell Anchor, so I figured I'd show you this as well!

Hey Brandon, I know you posted about not necessarily liking doing these "shoot from the hip" type videos but I really like them, they're informative and quick.
Appreciate that. They're super easy for me to do, so it means a lot to hear that.
Based on Brandon’s review and recommendation, I bought the Darko rack bar storage. It’s high quality and a great space saver in my garage gym. I’m sure this shorty bar is another high quality product from Darko Lifting!
Appreciate you saying that!
I love this idea. In my smallish sized home gym, anything that is more than a one trick pony is a solid buy. Great concept and design, Darko! Oh, and nice review, Brandon.
Def agreed, I'm at the point now where I need to consolidate where possible 🤓
Hey Brandon. For even more versatility, if you hang your Spud Loopers or maybe light chains to the holes on the end and then attach your Rogue handles, you can do cable flys on your single stack. Also if you attach to the inner most holes, you can do rear delt flys. I do this with a Prime Long Bar + Mark Bell Single Shake Straps + Rogue handles. A good visual is the Ironmaster chain fly kit.
Ah never thought of that. I have the Scap Strap which is prob easier for me since it's pre built, but could def see some more uses I didn't consider.
@@BasementBrandon who sells that?
@@TJMcDVM Company of the same name!
@@BasementBrandon thanks! Finally found them on IG.
Big David coming through with another solid one
Needed to use my vacation hours from work or I'd lose them, so going to try to bang out a lot of videos the next 3 weeks.
It is definitely nice looking and his stuff does exude quality. Nice versatility you demonstrated there!
Thanks for checking in Marcus!
Really like the low profile on it, doesn’t take up too much room on the bar. Great for a landline handle option but I dnt like the feel of clip handles. I rather an all one piece construction, for a more sturdy feel. But really great product none the less!
Fair enough!
Pretty cool and versatile piece right there. Hope he sells thousands!
That'd be a lot of shorty bars to build 😅
Millions
I'm pretty interested in this one. Would love to see it side by side with my GymPin D Handle.
Come over and we can compare equipment... wait what?
@@BasementBrandon 😉😘 you know I'm in
Great video, useful, looks cooler than my GymPin version
Similar I think!
Would love to see this used inverted in the Rep Ares pulldown (combining the two cables into a single mounting point for attachments) and the low row
Ah just need to go buy a $5k rep ares to test. Let me run it by my wife 😅
@@BasementBrandon Can we enlist @garagegymreviews for this one?
There are a few pictures on the product page of exactly this. Also if you search Darko Shorty Bar on youtube, there's a video of it being used with the Ares.
@@DavidKerkes Oh, nice! No need to bug Coop after all. Seems to be conducive to way more natural movement than the banana clip that comes with it. For reference, how tall are you? And is that a 93" rack?
Seems like a great little attachment but I have so much stuff that accomplishes the same thing so decided to pass on this. I bought the Barbell anchor though cause I need to get my SSB out of the way. Great quality piece!!
I hear you, I passed as well initially but Darko was nice enough to send me one as a thank you for the Anchor video. Def a versatile little piece.
I like the ingenuity of this.
Pretty sweet!
You are really jacked. You look great! As for the product, yes, it looks good. If I were an American with a cable stack, I might buy one.
Secret to success is smaller t shirts.
Pretty awesome. Definitely can do lots of cable stuff with it and mess round with angles. Will buy this.
Could def help people cut down on some of the little pieces of equipment by combining them.
The ability to use in a landmine looks fantastic!!!
Def adds some value!
Nice. Seems worth it. Good work promoting small business.
Thanks for taking a look!
Great review and ordered the shorty bar which I just received. It's really a great looking, well-built and versatile. The downside to it in my case is that with Rogue single handles attached, I cannot get a full stretch doing either lat pulldowns or seated rows. My lat machine sits just under 8' high and while the seat is adjustable, even at its lowest setting I can only go to about 3/4 of a full stretch. Other really good uses for it, but just disappointed my lat machine isn't high enough to use it as intended. Something for others to consider if they have a standard sized lat machine and want to use it for pulldowns.
Ah man I'm sorry to hear
Thanks, I just got the back widow last month
nice!
Nice! Looks like a well made piece!
Def was impressed by build quality.
Great review, Brandon! Darko is definitely putting out some quality pieces.
And you don't need an extra room to expand to for them 🤪
@@BasementBrandon sold!
Great video on this product! What attachment was that at the 1:52 part of the video? It looks like a metal single hand tricep pull down attachments. Is there a link for that product?
That was a Rogue nunchuck. Some other companies have similar offerings but with balls on the end, usually called Hammer handles. I'd check out StrayDog and Bare Steel if you don't want Rogue.
@@BasementBrandon Awesome, thank you for the information! I'll check those out.
This just popped up on my Instagram ads so I had to shoot over to RUclips and check it out and of course you got a review hehe 😉 man those Instagram targeted ads are savage hahahaha awesome video bro
always listening lol
Just in time for Xmas. Wonder if it will fit in my stockings...
Curved to fit the boot 🤪
GREAT REVIEW BRANDO
LOOKIN JACKED AS EVER AS WELL 🥵
Small shirts FTW!
Hey Brandon! Excellent review again!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 GymPin and Kleva Built had a baby 🤣🤣🤣 Anyway haha I want to ask if Darko Lifting have any discount code? Or your basement brandon discount code for it? 🤔🤔🤔
Basement will save you 5% I believe, but I told them I don't want any kickbacks for it.
Nice! You’re looking lean and mean brother!💯
Smaller shirts are the secret Joel! You know this!
Awesome Brandon! Have you tried it upside down? Whereby you could connect 2 pulleys from 2 weight stacks in the case of a freemotion dual pulley stack? I am looking for a way to maximize going from a 2 pulley stack to a single connection in the front. Make my LAT PULL DOWNS/ Seated rows mega heavy! Let me know your thoughts on that idea
I just bought it anyways! 😂
I think Darko has that shown on the site. I only have a single pulley so can’t test!
Thanks buddy! Merry Christmas Happy holidays and Happy New Year
hey Brandon do you a plastic uhmw guard that protects your rack if your lat attachment bangs on your rack by accident? if you do know where can I get one for monster lite rack? how does this dd attachment compare with prime fitness?
I would suggest looking on Amazon for either felt or UHMW tape depending on what you prefer visually. Then just apply it to the upright where it would hit. You can cut to size. For the attachment, it's a similar thought process, the advantage of this piece is it could also be used with a barbell.
@@BasementBrandon thanks 👍
As I'm in the market for this type of attachment, I went back and rewatched this video.
As I and many, many, others don't do any kind of landmine work the big hole in the middle, along with it not being attractive to us is useless for us.
They should've made a version without the big unattractive hole.
After researching this item thoroughly I find the Gym pin bar will be the one that suits us best.
The Gympin is also a lot cheaper even though it's a lot longer than the Darko one.
I realize the Darko is made by one person and not a big company but I fear he has out priced the market.
IMO, I don't see any reason to pay more for the Darko over the Gympin and I fear many others will agree with me as my opinion is strictly objective and I do not have a dog in this fight and I am just stating honest facts.
I think you're in the minority in not doing the landmine work TBH, but appreciate the feedback! Always good to have options.
Also shipping included in the price 👍
Ah was not aware!
Love the review. Have you done a review on the lat pulldown machine? Who makes it? Thanks.
He has, it’s from Prime Fitness
I've done a few videos on it but never a real review. I should prob do that lol. It's the HLP Single Stack from Prime Fitness.
Ordered a Rep PR-5000 yesterday based on your review and ordering this today. Any recommendations on D handles for it?
I have 2 sets. One from Rogue which are really nice but pricey, and then some cut ring ones from Abmat.
Rogue handles and shorty bar arrived today. Love the feel and versatility. Thanks doing reviews like this.
@@douglowry7382 Dope dude!

That hviii brand T-shirt making you look super swole today
Size smedium 🤓
Do you think this is a better option than the 3 prime bars? Seems like it does with 1 attachment what prime takes 3 attachments to offer
Which one?
@@BasementBrandon the darko seems to cover all three rot8 bars. (Long, short, landmine)
🙏
Thanks my dude! Stop getting so strong.
Is that Horus tattooed on your right bicep? I'm into Egyptian mythology.
Good eye, it is.
What lat pulldown is that?

@@BasementBrandon my short bar came in today. I freaking love this thing. I have the prime fitness long bar on the way to get the 36inch -18inch range.

Review the Thresher pad please!!! 🙏🏻
Does look pretty sweet, I just don't think I'd use it.
The only reason I haven't bought the gympin is because of the shipping. It's already expensive, then adding 30-40 in shipping its not worth it. I think with shipping it makes this cheaper I believe.
I think they have a US distributor?
