fun fact I decided to do a top 5 and figured out 4 and couldn't think of the 5th. I literally didn't think of rings until I looked up and thought to myself how dumb I am, they're in like a dozen videos on the channel 😂
Love seeing the little ones participating! I have a little boy on the way, and teaching him how to lift and exercise is what I want more than anything. Awesome to see, and awesome recommendations as always, y’all!
Amen on #5 and life health. Anything that can make you feel healthier in day to day living, is a worthy item to buy! Great video and love the sense of humor!
Just wanted to say that your comment about why you train was really wholesome. I feel the same way. I used to compete in powerlifting, but that really isn't healthy, and after having our daughter, i just completely shifted gears to train more for longevity since I worry about my parents alot too.
Great video. All great equipment. My top 5 are a little more basic. 1- power bar 2- power blocks 3- AB5200 4- sled 5- Bluetooth speaker to bump music during workout.
Interesting take. I have a home garage gym myself and suffered a shoulder injury in my youth. I couldn’t handle doing barbell bench and switched to dumbbells. I found the hand positioning and shoulder stabilizing aspects of it eliminated the pain. Now I am looking at this multi grip barbell and thinking it mig it just be next on the list. Also, interesting take on the ares. I was going to get one, but I have found that it’s cheaper to buy second hand commercial gym equipment and set it up. Currently sporting a cybex lat pull-down and then I have a life fitness cable machine. Both of these units combined cost me the same as the ares. Also the ares, when combine with a rack, does have downsides on that it can take away your ability to do things like ISO lever arms or really using the front posts. It’s better as a stand alone unit. GHD is amazing! I can’t live without it.
Thanks for removing all the innuendo. I actually watch a lot of videos while working out with my 12 year old twin daughters and it’s nice to not have to answer their questions about “holes”, “stiffness”, etc or have them look at me weird. Seriously appreciate it.
I got mine 3 weeks ago haha! It's great! Only issue is one of my cables has a slight twist in it, hopefully it doesn't get worse over time which I've read about on reddit...does yours have this issue at all?
Mine had a twist at first. I found it came from when I installed it and twisted it while putting it through the pulleys. I pulled it back off and redid it and now it's perfect
1 - Wynie 2 - 35 lb Plates 3 - 15 kg Plates (just remembered lbs aren't a real weight) 4 - 10 benches (that counts as one item right?) 5 - Gluck (I doubt I'd get my first choice if you weren't included...)
8:14 I recently started having similar moments playing with my son. Lifting at home is a huge part of my life and I’m planning on that always being the case. That said low back health is something that is top of mind for me and I’d love to hear more specifics on how you’ve programmed with your reverse hammer that’s helped you so much!
I made various adjustments and changes including rebuilding my squat form and working in exercises like back extensions, more core work, reverse hypers, etc
Great list! That reverse hammer looks like a great option. I'm waiting to see what the Bulletproof fitness posterior chain developer goes for, but I'll keep this one in mind. It's time to upgrade my reverse hyper and I'd like to consolidate it and my ghd to free up some more space for, of course, more gym equipment lol.
have to agree with the ares. I sure as hell didn't need it, but after having it for a while I am glad I got it. Expensive, yes, but if you have the money it is so worth it.
We do our own programming 95% of the time. We have an app we're reviewing so maybe some of it will be shown there but it's mostly on our Patreon atm. May have to look into this more
Can you put in a link to the rings workout you mentioned? I just got the rep rings, and looking for good/effective workouts and movement. Thanks! Awesome info as always. I hope you're getting some sleep. It gets better.
Great video! Question: which would you recommend for a senior lifter. A GHD/Reverse Hyper or a Selectorized Leg Ext/Curl machine? I only have room for one more piece of equipment in my garage gym.
Just recently found your channel and in the beginning I thought u were pretty corny. But I gotta say your humour has really grown on me and your addiction to gear really helps me save money and know what's worth buying. Hopefully your purchase links work for us Canadians and I can get you back sometime
Hahaha, I've gotten that a few times. You know I never really thought of the day the Canadian sites probably don't work with my links... I'm going to have to look into a solution for that.
@@GlucksGym Ya you're a pretty loveable guy once I realized you're just pretending to be a douche lol. Big fan now. Back to working my way back through your catalogue of vids. All the best
You're legitimately a funny dude. There's no way I can make it through one of your videos without laughing lol. I love most of the home gym channels, big or small. Everyone is talking about the same thing, but presenting it in a very different way.

They're in probably 6 or so videos. Much like the benches it's a bit of a thing of mine 😂 I haven't talked about them as much lately because I don't want the videos to sounds the same
Gluck, have you heard anything about the Bells of Steel leg ext/curl attachment for the Hero bench? Last I saw they said it was coming out in March... and it's March.
I definitely don't have those attachments already... And since I don't have them in my gym and I wasn't just playing around with them I can't tell you that they're pretty much ready.
always love the content! What adapters are you using on your hydra row pad so it fits on the rep rack? I’d love to get a pad to fit on my rep pr5000! Thanks!!
Just picked up rep trap bar and a second bench. Will I be able to stop at two benches? According to Adrian…no lol. And now the saving-money-for-black-Friday can commence so I can hopefully get an ares this year.
Do you have a video or a link to the spacers that adapt a 5/8” attachment to a fit 1” hole? I’ve always wanted to do this since I upgraded from my Rogue ML to a Monster. 2:08
@Mike Workman at first I would do 3 sets as a warm up before each workout. now I do 2 or 3 sets after squats or deadlifts. This has helped tremendously. I had bad surgery when I was a kid L5S I have had pain most of my life. The RH for me has been the best thing for my back. I have a 520 deadlift and I'm 48 years old. I use to use an inversion bench but the was useless. I have been using the reverse hyper now for 5 years now
At 2:06 you mention the BOS pad fits in the keyhole on the side but you still proceeded to buy an adapter, why is that? (Assuming you didn't want to attach to your REP rack)
Mostly for the Rep rack. We talk about it in our Top 5 Home Gym Secrets video ruclips.net/video/ACMHa5tO_o0/видео.html But also so I can turn it any directions. Full disclosure I was sent those adapters for free.
