I just did this on my 1 day old 2023 MYLR and it was crazy easy (I did two coats)...anyone can do this. Left it in my garage with the windows down for 12 hours and it look perfect zero streaks, smell or residue.
I’ve seen people have crazy stuff happen to their seats. I’m Italian and bald. All the grease and retinol moisturizer is on my head and head rest 😆. Over 3 years and 65,000 miles, all of my seats and head rests look brand new. I don’t know these people are doing to make their vegan leather look like someone took a lighter to it
Is it safe to apply to the plastic, coating the center console and door handle have plastic near them.. should this product harm/discolor the black plastic? Thanks
We don't recommend putting leathershield on the plastic areas. Put tape around the plastic when you're applying the leathershield to keep it clean. If you want to cover the plastics too, Gyeon Q²M Preserve might be for you: A product designed to protect and enhance interior plastics, rubber, and vinyl. gyeonusa.com/collections/plastic-trim-coatings/products/q-m-preserve
Does it mess with the plastic if you happen to get some on there? I called Gyeon, and the gentleman on the phone said if you’re doing this outside to remove product after roughly a minute, does that sound correct?
No, but you'll see shiny spots where it got on the plastic so might not look very good if it's patchy. But there's no harm. If you have to apply outside, yes, wipe it down pretty soon after
Thankfully, those don't deteriorate as easily as the vegan leather. What I did when I had black interior was spray our interior cleaner directly on a boar brush and agitate those areas. It's completely safe, but I recommend not to oversaturate. And then wipe dry with a microfiber. You can also do the same process for the upholstery fabric in the car. I use it a lot around the sun visor areas!
Great job, love the video! If I wanted to do another deep clean of my car a few months after applying the ceramic coating, would it take the coating off?
Our cleaners won’t strip it off and works perfect with this coating! The coating however is rated for 1 year so you can reapply once every 6-12 months depending on how much you use your seats.
As long as you're agitating that area with a soft bristle brush and the cleaner, it should work fine. It's hard to know without seeing it though. If you want to send us a photo on instagram @teslabros, we can better help!
Go over it firmly with a dry microfiber as soon as you see it. Don't use any cleaners or chemicals on it. If it's really dry and isn't budging, the only other solution would be to polish it off, which can do more damage if done wrong. I personally would try to live with it. High spots tend to wear down relatively quickly anyway due to how exposed those areas are.
Just to be clear, there is no need to spend on advertised products. Just apply some common sense and don’t be duped by folks wanting to creat a revenue steam
I would recommend seat covers made of real cowhide leather, like Tesla should have used in the first place. You could also opt for black seats as when the seats start to fail after about 6 years, the dyed portion tends to start flaking off revealing a black underlayment below. If your seats were already black, this would be hard to notice.

Glad to hear that!
You didn't shake the bottle. Shouldn't you do that first, with all coatings?
Great job on being so detailed! Thanks!
Thank you! Great video

What is the partnership you mentioned? Is it that you are just selling the Gyeon product?
Yes!

The door cards on the black interior have micro-suede or alcantara type material..
Any protection options for those?

What do you recommend using to ceramic coat the headliner and sun visors?
Fabric Coat?
Does this product have a sheen when dry? When you did the center armrest it was very shiny, guessing that goes away when dry and buffed...
Yeah when it’s dry, it goes back to the original sheen
Thanks For Posting This. I love your #tesla channel

Is the microfiber that comes with Gyeon Q2 reusable? i.e. washed in washing machine & reuse.
No, I wouldn’t reuse any microfibers or cloths that have ceramic coating on them
I have model y black interior. Can I use this product?
Yes
How long do they last before I need to do another coating ?
This will last about 6 months
What the difference between this and a typical interior ceramic coat? If different can both be used and which comes 1st?
This one is specifically designed to cover all types of leather, so you will need a different one(s) for plastic, fabric or glass.
What do you recommend for white marks on black tesla seats?
Most likely the same cleaning method of a boar brush, interior cleaner, and a clean micro. What have you tried so far?

Would this product work well on the black headrest to prevent bubbling?
Yes. Just keep in mind that this product is a preventative product. If there are bubbles already, will need to be fixed prior to coating.
I've heard it leaves streak marks on black seats. Can this be used on black leather seats without any marks?
Absolutely! I haven't heard of the streak issue, but I suppose it's possible if done wrong
Can I apply this on top of Geon Ceramic Shield?
I'm not sure I know what ceramic shield is. Maybe it has another name?
Is this stuff okay if it gets on that fake alcentera feel?
It’s not recommended for the alcantara part, but you can wipe it off if you get some on it accidentally.
What do you do if you notice height point after the product drys?

Can i use Gyeon leather on the steering wheel?
Yes!
@@tesbros thank you!
Is agitation process required for brand new car?
We would recommend it. Although new, there can still be contaminants on the seat.

How do you protect your seats? Buy seat covers.
pretty much
What kind of seat covers do you like/have? Considering carrying some in the future.
Hard to find seat covers for teslas
