Yo, if you’re doing gas station work, the best degreaser for commercial work is BC cleanse pro you can downstream it straight through your pressure washer. It’s much higher concentrate than the degreaser from south east south wash that is $70 a gallon. You can buy a 5 gallon of this product for $100. You don’t even need to agitate it in just spray it on and run over it with the surface cleaner, it lifts everything except for organics.
most states have water processing plants that run off water goes through to be cleaned and chemicals removed from the water before most issues. although a water reclamation system is always nice for your surrounding ecosystem
8-10 Parts of Super Clean to one part Instant Power Heavy Duty Drain Opener (has both NaOH and KOH) - x-jet it. If you want to save $$ mix 9 parts NaOH (sodium hydroxide) to 1 part KOH (potassium hydroxide). Add 3-6 cups to 5 gallons of either water or Super Clean. KOH is 3X the cost of NaOH. Using a product which contains 90% NaOH & 10% KOH is like getting the best of both, you will be get a lower in price product with a better exothermic reaction than with Potassium Hydroxide alone, but you will have a faster penetration and better rinsing product than if it just had Sodium Hydroxide.
Nice job fellas! Quic questions- I just had a shop built and it looks as if there are light oil stains from a lift or tools. Will this stuff work for that? Thanks
I don’t have a press washer. It’s 11:30pm. I have leg day tomorrow at 4:30am. What am I doing?? I’m learning. I’m investing in my future. I will do whatever it takes, besides going to bed.
i'm seeing alot of questions on run off, and no answers. yet your charging for classes that have me question your courses. Lots of questions on run off. I know where I'm at its a huge issue and that would get you fined. I see guys trapping or filtering the run off. Are you doing something with the run off or is it not an issue in your area? I'd hate for someone to get huge fines for something your classes don't cover. Do your classes cover this?
That stuff works great!! I have some of that degreaser. I’ve used it when I clean Krispy Kream Donuts once a month I got hot and cold water. It’s awesome!! Oil!!!
How much should I charge to remove an oil stain about the size of a car on concrete and it’s running down the sidewalk obviously, just getting into the business was curious
Obviously they dont know what they are doing is illegal. By law you have to capture all that water because of the grease and oil, not rinse it down the street into the sewer so it can go into a stream or some fresh water source
I'm not sure myself the exact regulations, but gas stations are very risky. I briefly worked in an environmental department of an engineering company that handled testing ground water at gas stations, and they test regularly. Water runoff and ground water contamination is a very serious thing for gas stations. If the wrong person shows up or catches wind of water runoff at a gas station, it could be heavy fines or jail time. I wouldn't even risk it without a proper reclamation system. Me personally, I won't do a job at a gas station.
@@MetaDecker 👍That is very troubling. If the EPA were to get involved you better be an LLC or you'll loose everything you personally own. Super huge money for fines/ EPA cleanup as well as the gas stations loss of being shut down.
That would be hard for an American to know. Your country would have its own market, but if not in Ghana, there should be some place in Africa to order from so you dont have to import from too far. Shipping is going to be a big cost then. Maybe an international company like Alibaba delivers there? Make sure you have a secure place to store the stuff over night. Its not too costly to start but the worth adds up and by nature the products will be sitting on wheels somewhere overnight.
Were you able to keep all the wash water on the property? If any of that goes in storm sewer there's an EPA fine coming. Why is nobody showing waste water recovery on these jobs?
I was wondering the same thing. Petroleum cannot go into any sewer, water needs to be picked up. Everywhere else in the gas station is fine, but by the pumps water cannot just run off. I agree with u.
Because everyone one of them are phony. They even try to sell you EPP junk and you never see them wearing it. Y’all need to wake up and and just go out there and work. What did you do after spraying the chemicals and pressure washing specifically with the water? Do you vacuum it up or what?
If it's a small area, I've had good success with Tide liquid laundry detergent. This also works great on asphalt.

I made the mistake of pressure washing concrete in the middle of a hot sunny Summers day. A few cracks popped up 😬
So what happens with all the wash off?
Should be damming the area and reclaiming the water and oils…
Amazing, a video that tells people to use degreaser to remove grease. As if it wasn't labeled clearly enough.
