  • This video shows how to remove oil stains from concrete using one simple product. It is very simple to use, and it did a really great job of removing small and big oil stains from my concrete. I have a really old concrete driveway, and many of the stains were also really old so I wasn’t sure I could get them out. Goof off concrete oil stain remover pulled All the oil stains out very easily. Be sure to watch the whole video to see the full product review. I recommend using the Heavy Duty stain removal instructions. They work much better than the general purpose cleaning instructions. This product is really only made for oil stains. It didn’t remove my existing paint stains or rust marks on the concrete. The oil stains were the biggest eye sore though. Click this link to buy Goof Off concrete oil cleaner and pick up at your local Home Depot. You can even have it delivered.

    My cousin accidentally forgot to unplug the oil container and dropped every bit of oil from his car during an oil change, on my drive way, a week before my home was going on the market. I was dying inside. We used an oil absorbing sand, tried other chemicals but the stain was still extremely noticeable. I saw this video and ran to Home Depot. Bought 5 bottles, let it sit for 12 hours and prayed. It freaking worked!!!!! It’d describe it as almost a bleach for concrete. Whatever it is, I’m sooo happy and my cousin can come back out from hiding.

    Great to see this after the day ive had! I moped up nearly a quart of used diesel engine oil from the corner of my driveway and used degreaser and 1500 psi pressure cleaner. All of this took it down 50 percent but the stain is still highly visible although you could eat from it. Next step was finding the goof off concrete cleaner which is on the stain this minute. I found this youtube video and have a little more peace of mind!

      @@powerofknowledge7771 I'm a little bit late to replying but no it wasnt as good as the video. My driveway stain was a strong mix of heavy duty diesel oil that has spilled onto the concrete and also had black soil mixed in. I used the concrete cleaner last after a pressure cleaner and degreaser wash. Overall it's not terrible looking now.

      I’m even later to the discussion, but the guy at the auto parts store recommended liquid laundry detergent on the stain and then oil absorbent on top and then let it sit for a day. Worked like a charm. Only problem is now I have a really, really clean spot on the driveway. Trick is to let it sit as long as possible (days, not hours).

      I've been retired for about 5 years, I've pretty much done about everything you can imagine but I was taught as a kid that you give an honest days work for an honest days pay. I just cannot get over how many people are just so damn lazy today. Seriously, some people are so lazy if someone set them on fire, they'd wait until someone else put them out. I paid the post office 12.00 for a two day delivery of a birthday card. It took 28 days to travel 800 miles. Why does a 2 day air delivery envelope sit in one location for 5 to 8 days? I applied for a homestead exemption on March 13th, on April 12th, it's still pending review. God, I hope my house doesn't catch fire, I could celebrate several birthdays before the fire truck showed up. Is it me? or does it seem like everyone is using the scamdemic as an excuse to do nothing ?

    • @DIYMAN
      @DIYMAN  3 года назад +7

      There’s no doubt, people are lazier now than they’ve ever been. That’s why companies like GrubHub are so successful. People are willing to pay $20 extra for their food just so they don’t have to drive 5 minutes to get it. Then they wonder why $30k isn’t enough money to live on. And you are absolutely right, this “pandemic” has made them even worse because they have more money in their pockets that they can use to further this laziness.

    I had some oil spots in my shop concrete floor for 15 years. I got some old drywall and broke it up and smashed the gypsum in the middle by hammering it. I poured enough gasoline to make it wet, scratched the surface of the oil with an old screwdriver, and poured the gypsum powder over it. I came back the next day scooped of the gypsum, then hosed it off. Completely gone.

    A great tip would be to fix oil leaks on our vehicles as they leave a trail everywhere you take them secondary to that using a chemical to clean them up only increases the contamination of our groundwater just like the oil leaks on our vehicles. This is a good video to show you how to clean up a driveway when you find you have an oil leak but it is worth mentioning that we should fix our vehicles.

      @@chrissuter4107 There is no green solution to rid ones self of oil stains. The issue and their causes in and of themselves is in no way green. The ultimate green solution is to walk. The next step is to fix leaked immediately upon detection. This involves daily inspection of your vehicle.
