Now, when the King says it to Kris, it's like Susie is seeing herself, and in the back of her mind she's realized that she was no different from the King not too long ago; that this was who she once was. Because of this, not only is she upset that her friend is getting hurt, but she's especially angry on a personal level, which you can tell from this being the first time we see both her eyes along with her gritting teeth. So when she attacks, she isn't just lashing at the King, she's lashing at her former self. This moment is meant to remind us of when we first met a character, and to show how they contrast now to back then. A perfect example of textbook character growth, and testament to Toby Fox's writing capabilities! Well done!

Strangely enough Jevil warns the Trio of a nightmare awakening in their hearts and how he and the King mentions a Knight.

I got an ending other than that one. In my ending, Ralsei put the king to sleep, then out of nowhere Lancer urged me to run away while Ralsei showed his face and said goodbye. I wonder if it's because of the fact I actually attacked the king without killing him or the fact Susie previously scared someone away.
I damaged the king too but got the ending from the video here. From what I've put together, yours was different because you let Susie scare someone away, which is the closest thing to "killing" a monster in Delta Rune. That probably locked you out of this "pacifist" ending shown in the video (although it's clear that one of Delta Rune's themes is that your choices DON'T matter, unlike in Undertale - the endings are quite similar either way.)
Actually, it was Suzy that used pacify, Ralsei even says "I'm impressed you remember my spell". But yeah, this happens if you don't spare other monsters, they don't come to aid you, and you can't go back to say goodbye

I don't think the King is really evil. To me, it seems more that he's just so convinced that the Lightners are evil that he just won't listen to anything anyone says. Notice how immediately after tricking them and gaining the upper hand again, he goes to Kris and immediately assumes that they still want to condemn them, and when the crowd lifts him up and is holding him, he tries to tell them that the Lightners are their enemies.
Also, instead of outright disposing of Lancer as soon as he realized he didn't hate the Lightners, he actually took the time to talk to him, and attempted to change his mind. He could have just tossed him off the roof to begin with, so he didn't, so that shows there's at least SOME semblance of care King has for his son.

D3LTA RUN3 Gaster is more like the damn creator of the world. His theme is mixed in over half the theme songs of delta rune When you are creating “a vessel” Im pretty sure it’s Gaster speaking. And one of his followers counterpart can be found in delta rune.
Anyone else notice the King’s laugh right before the fight is a deeper version of Susie and Lancer’s “evil” laugh? This shows that the King is truly evil.
When in battle with King, you're able to CHECK him and, if you do, you learn that he turned this way upon being abandoned by the Lightners ("Abandoned by the Lightners, his heart became cracked with hatred."). I believe that, like Lancer, King can be turned good, only in a later chapter. The Knight, though... HE'S truly evil.
That moment reminds me of the Thor: Ragnarok meme. *Chaos King:* You can't defeat me. *Susie:* Oh I know, but they can. *(Lancer and his people show up)*

I love that although you control Kris and interact with the world through his point of view, it's ultimately the the side characters that have the most development. Ralsei learns to fight, Susie learns to be merciful, and Lancer learns to step up to his abusive father. Really makes you think.
I liked the king because he's the only character in this whole universe (perhaps except for Flowey or genocide run Frisk) who's truly evil and that we can all hate, without feeling bad about it. Someone who's just pure evil, with, so far at least, no redeeming qualities? You don't feel bad about fighting him and hurting him. That feels great! Someone who really deserves it.
Not only that, but also the fact that he just didn't go like "Oh I lost, yea lol lets be friends" That's what I was missing in Undertale. Everyone is friendly. No one was kinda backstabbing you.

Everybody is comparing chaos king to asgore but they dont realize that chaos king was supposed to BE asgore. Asgore was depicted as this merciless and cruel monster bent on freeing monsters from the underground and exacting his vengeance and wrath to the people above.
That he does. Lancer was only scary and intimidating while shrouded in shadow. But King… he stayed that way. And only really gets silly while at the mercy of his own Rudinns and Hathies.

Why does king's dialogue make it feel like the original lighteners trapped them underground,which caused king to become a bad guy and lose it. Maybe the lighteners are at fault.

To be fair, him going to jail was probably arguably the best conclusion here because Lancer doesn't want him to die. He can't hurt Lancer or anyone else, but he's still alive. Problem solved.
You know, if there is one thing I really miss from this Chapter which wasn‘t in Chapter 2… The King was still somewhat an asshole after the fight. Like the fact, that you can‘t just befriend anyone just because you feel like it. I love that although you control Kris and interact with the world through his point of view, it's ultimately the the side characters that have the most development. Ralsei learns to fight, Susie learns to be merciful, and Lancer learns to step up to his abusive father. Really makes you think.

I liked the king because he's the only character in this whole universe (perhaps except for Flowey or genocide run Frisk) who's truly evil and that we can all hate, without feeling bad about it. Someone who's just pure evil, with, so far at least, no redeeming qualities? You don't feel bad about fighting him and hurting him. That feels great! Someone who really deserves it.

Everybody is comparing chaos king to asgore but they dont realize that chaos king was supposed to BE asgore. Asgore was depicted as this merciless and cruel monster bent on freeing monsters from the underground and exacting his vengeance and wrath to the people above.

To be fair, him going to jail was probably arguably the best conclusion here because Lancer doesn't want him to die. He can't hurt Lancer or anyone else, but he's still alive. Problem solved.

The King was still somewhat an asshole after the fight. Like the fact, that you can‘t just befriend anyone just because you feel like it. It was so awkward to see Queen dropping her ego like „Oh lol yeah let‘s forget what happened and be friends!“… like huh? Wasn‘t she like always confident of herself all the time? Everyone is dumb except for her and her minions?
