12:11 fun fact: it DOES play when you go back in after killing toriel in the full game too, the volume just gets boosted when you sleep or turn the light off.
Went into this as a huge fan of Undertale and video game music in general, expecting to go pretty far. I CANT REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE FIRST F***ING SONG
Got most of them right, though the Piano ones are lowkey cheating cuz they literally could be any song that share a Leitmotif. Ghost fight could be Mad Dummy or Spider Dance for example.
you got me good in the last one, i was really cocky all like "oh yeah this one aint hard i know all of the songs with this leitomtif! obviously it's ruins, waterfall, quiet water, NGAAAH and spear of justice!" and then i saw the answer and got humbled real quick lmao

Got 8. Mainly because a lot was forgotten to time. If I'd done it 4 or 5 years ago it would've probably been in the 20s. Now the real challenge is figuring out how to emotionally handle growing up and gaining more and more interests and games and shows you like yet having less and less time and being forced to just give up on so many. This is why you don't think about life after 9pm. I want to cry.
The one that properly caught me off-guard (besides the ones I just did not know about) was 3:40 with Amalgam. Since the track uses sustained chords, while this piano version uses arppegiator flourishes for the same notes. A bit confusing, but cool nonetheless.
I got a measly score of 4 points. I guess I know much less about the soundtrack than I thought ^^' But your game looks really promising! I subscribed to your newsletter :D

I feel like getting 10 at most is completing the test, the piano ones or the ones that ask about songs that pretry much dont appear on every ost but specific ones are horrible
Got 32 out of 42, I actually have never played undertale, just watch playthroughs and listen to the soundtrack a lot. I probably could have gotten even more if I paid more attention to the names of songs in the ost, I usually just listen through without looking
anything outside of the official original soundtrack i have no luck, and im apparently much worse at remembering titles than i thought, but i could recognize quite a lot and place where they play in the game lol

Haven’t played in about 2-3 years… (in between i played both oris, deltarune replayed cuphead 3 times, one with a different friend each time, RON, and went into a HUGE hollow knight phase, i still speedrun and do randos as a persistent hobby.) “Got you must be breathing undertale at this point did you know there are other great games out there?” With a perfect score 🤩 (For the multiple ones, rather than trying to recognise individual songs, I just heard the leitmotif and tried to remember all the ones i could which have that leitmotif as i had to study the ost for leitmotifs and lore connections in a language assignment in which we had to analyse the use of literary techniques in a piece of media we enjoy)
I got “Big Undertale Fan” (8, 7 without the two half-points I gave myself with the multiples ones) which is _huge_ considering I first touched it two months ago
16 is a pretty satisfying score for me. And considering how unfair the entire thing was, I am absolutely counting every single “close enough, I was at least thinking of this exact thing”. And that’s considering I haven’t obsessed over UT music for many years now. I simply still almost remember most of the names. And never watched trailers, demos or any new extra things.
Warm Up: 5/6 Hard: 4/6 Very Hard: 3/6 Extremely Hard: 6/6 Insane: 2/6 Ridiculous: 2/6 What the Frisk?: 2/6 Total: 24/42 (Undertale Mega Hyper Fan) honestly I thought I'd get higher, I think it's the reversed piano and trivia questions that got me, and also the really obscure songs lol. P.S Bro after vibing to this (ruclips.net/video/3HYDBs1zmJw/видео.html) for a year, Question 28 (at 9:44) became sooooo easy for me hehe P.P.S I subscribed to your newsletter. And your channel.
21. the reverse and piano tracks really got me i got the four of five question because i knew what all the His Theme leitmotif was in and just started listing songs it appeared in
7:45 i manged to get enemy approaching and dog song. now i cant get myself to hear enemy approaching ever again... how the hell did i do it the first time
Roughly half, including a fair amount of partial points, almost independent of difficulty level. Pretty good quiz but I do think a lot of the piano ones are unfair.
I think the piano ones doesn't make sense because there are many songs that share the same melody for instance 4:55 plays in like at least 10 songs in the soundtrack it is a part from the main melody
SPOILERS! My final score 37.5/42 Q7: Me and chat agreed, that the filename for this song is Dog Shrine, and there is no official name for the song, so we agreed Dog Shrine is an acceptable answer. Q14: Once again, me and chat agreed that SAVE the World (and Last Goodbye) are acceptable answers. We agreed that it was not stated at all how the piano would be modified, and without knowing the original cover, it is impossible to distinguish it from SAVE the World. Q16: You forgot the "Or Anything" at the end. Q18: Little mad about losing this one, but gg. Thought it was Reunited again, couldn't place the clarinet. Q21: Iffy on this one, it was ambiguous how much info you wanted. I stated an incorrect fun value range, and didn't mention it's a 50% chance upon entering, but the rest was correct. Half point. Questionable if this is even music trivia? Q25: Got me on this one, thought it was Fallen Down (Reprise) and didn't realize it was unedited. Q30: Flirted with Confession for while, song just doesn't have enough substance to confidently identify it though, chose Snowdin Town over it. Also chose Dating Start! instead of Dating Fight!, though unsure if it's reasonable to be able to distinguish between the two. Brutal question. Q33: Technically speaking, this is just Fallen Down slowed down in game. It uses the same .ogg files as Fallen Down. Empty House is a fanon name. Q41: Thought it was Here We Are, these backwards ones are the bane of my existence.
I did pretty well but I suck with the names. For the Reunited, I was like “Is it Union, Reunion, idk?” And then I was able to tell what the very short excerpt the “Hotel song with a long name”. There’s several other examples where I knew the song just not the name since I’ve played the game so much and normally put the soundtrack on loop without seeing what song is playing.
I got 15":D Warm up - 5/6, got everything except Ghost fight (always mix them up with Dummy) Hard - 2/6, got Mysterious Place and Snowy. Didn't get "second longest title" because I misread as "second longes song" TvT Very Hard - 2/6, got But the Earth refused to Die and Can You Really Call This A Hotel [...], disappointed at not getting Reunited Extremely hard - 3/6, got Your Best Nightmare, Gaster's theme and Death by Glamour Insane - 0/6, mixing up Finale with Your Best Nightmare was disappointing ":> Ridiculous - 2/6, got Empty House scenario and SAVE the world. Convinced myself that the first one couldn't be But the Earth Refused to Die again":D What the Frisk - 1/6, got Core Approach Really like your quizzes, they make a good challenge!
32 aint half bad... there were a few i counted that i just barely missed the names on though, including "mystery room," "core entrance," and "quiz show."
16! Admittedly, I was a bit liberal with giving myself points, if I knew exactly when a song played, then I gave myself the point: “oh, this is the unused asgore theme that’s only in the files that sounds like the game over theme” or “oh, this is the really echoey version of the hotel theme that plays in that hallway when you’re entering the core for the first time” both got points.
12:31 I have no idea how But I guessed it correctly by using a completely unrelated song That last reversed part sounded like The World Revovling to me and I got SAVE the World
Missed a ton of them but I’m lowkey proud of myself for recognizing wrong enemy and SAVE the world Can’t believe I missed amalgam, though, it’s one of my favorite songs in the game.
Overall I got like half of the questions right (I was watching on older LG TV), but I'm very happy to successfully point out every song that played in the last question, with the exception of don't give up :)
I seem to be somewhere between Undertale Mega Hyper Fan and Super Undertale Mega Hyper Fan Deluxe. I just never played the Nintendo Switch version or knew anything about the musical differences in the trailer.
Old Undertale tryhard and superfan, have always listened to every music sooo much and watched many quiz vids but this was truly the hardest, last time I played Undertale was probably four years ago, but still managed to get a score of 30 points, which is not **that** bad, so still a super Undertale mega hyper fan deluxe I guess, need to return to this game so bad, I am never missing an oppotunity to breathe Undertale anymore.
For someone who has not played undertale in about a year, 17/18 (depends on if the fun value question counts or not, I guessed 64) points is pretty good
How many questions did you answer correctly?

(I'm very surprised I was able to get the reversed Core right, and for the last question I just started rattling off all the songs that I knew had the Ruins motif (except for Undyne's themes since those would be noticeable), I did miss Don't Give Up but I got the rest)
very fun challenge!
Yeah, the choice was a mean inclusion ;)
got your best nightmare and gaster’s theme, 2 in a row. i’m on a hot streak, up to 5 points now
This can’t be happening… I failed an Undertale Music Trivia 😭
Its crazy how i could tell that the piano one was reunited just from the ding at the end lol.
Haven’t played in about 2-3 years… (in between i played both oris, deltarune replayed cuphead 3 times, one with a different friend each time, RON, and went into a HUGE hollow knight phase, i still speedrun and do randos as a persistent hobby.)
“Got you must be breathing undertale at this point did you know there are other great games out there?” With a perfect score 🤩
(For the multiple ones, rather than trying to recognise individual songs, I just heard the leitmotif and tried to remember all the ones i could which have that leitmotif as i had to study the ost for leitmotifs and lore connections in a language assignment in which we had to analyse the use of literary techniques in a piece of media we enjoy)
I got “Big Undertale Fan” (8, 7 without the two half-points I gave myself with the multiples ones) which is _huge_ considering I first touched it two months ago
12:16
Okay, I only got that one because I learned that song FROM the Sheet Music Boss version, so that feels like cheatimg
8:28 wow, what a great 2 frame song about wrong enemy
24/42 - I can't believe I guessed the Thundersnail one...
Holy shit I'm autistic with an undertale hyperfixation and even I got tripped up...
bruh 2:32 i aint never heard this shit bro
Its a ps4 exclusive iirc
Fr
16 is a pretty satisfying score for me. And considering how unfair the entire thing was, I am absolutely counting every single “close enough, I was at least thinking of this exact thing”.
And that’s considering I haven’t obsessed over UT music for many years now. I simply still almost remember most of the names. And never watched trailers, demos or any new extra things.
Warm Up: 5/6
Hard: 4/6
Very Hard: 3/6
Extremely Hard: 6/6
Insane: 2/6
Ridiculous: 2/6
What the Frisk?: 2/6
Total: 24/42 (Undertale Mega Hyper Fan)
honestly I thought I'd get higher, I think it's the reversed piano and trivia questions that got me, and also the really obscure songs lol.
P.S
Bro after vibing to this (ruclips.net/video/3HYDBs1zmJw/видео.html) for a year, Question 28 (at 9:44) became sooooo easy for me hehe
P.P.S
I subscribed to your newsletter. And your channel.
Thanks! Also really good score for this difficulty!
15:48 Cannot believe I got all of them correct here. My knowledge of Undertale lietmotifs has served me well.
I got 8, I was just WAITING for an Asgore related one 😭
Some of those I knew but could not even hear a part of it, like your best nightmare piano, but recognizing boss fights, easy for me
ok, ngl at the amalgam part I thought it was a trick question because it sounded like Enemy (Arcane season 1 OP)
You... You know that Enemy doesn't originate from Arcane right?
@@Tazawa_Moon yes I do, I guess my thought was that's where most people would know it from
@@VessleOfVoid Ah fair.
It’s been too long, I called ghost fight “ghost song” and even though I recognized every single song forgot the names of all
7:54 not me remembering the "its all connected" video
this guy killed my whole confidence of undertale knowledge
i saw a simpleflips video where he made a joke about your name and i've been cracking up at that joke for like 2 weeks, good undertale video
16.
The only lesson i have learned: Never say to yourself that you know everything about the game
Those piano ones are the hardest. It feels like I can't keep track of the main melody
I got all the reversed ones and none of the others besides a few mixed together soundtracks, why did i do so well ONLY on the reversed ones
21. the reverse and piano tracks really got me
i got the four of five question because i knew what all the His Theme leitmotif was in and just started listing songs it appeared in
7:45 i manged to get enemy approaching and dog song. now i cant get myself to hear enemy approaching ever again... how the hell did i do it the first time
I don't think using fan renditions and ALTERING them was a smart idea to determine how knowledgeable someone is regarding UT's soundtrack
I only always knew parts of the music tracks, but never could name the most
I forgot that only watching megalovanias doesent actualy make you better at guessing these
Roughly half, including a fair amount of partial points, almost independent of difficulty level. Pretty good quiz but I do think a lot of the piano ones are unfair.
I think the piano ones doesn't make sense because there are many songs that share the same melody for instance 4:55 plays in like at least 10 songs in the soundtrack it is a part from the main melody
42/42
i need a new life pls, where can I find a life halp
SPOILERS!
My final score 37.5/42
Q7: Me and chat agreed, that the filename for this song is Dog Shrine, and there is no official name for the song, so we agreed Dog Shrine is an acceptable answer.
I got 15":D
Warm up - 5/6, got everything except Ghost fight (always mix them up with Dummy)
Hard - 2/6, got Mysterious Place and Snowy. Didn't get "second longest title" because I misread as "second longes song" TvT
Very Hard - 2/6, got But the Earth refused to Die and Can You Really Call This A Hotel [...], disappointed at not getting Reunited
Extremely hard - 3/6, got Your Best Nightmare, Gaster's theme and Death by Glamour
Insane - 0/6, mixing up Finale with Your Best Nightmare was disappointing ":>
Ridiculous - 2/6, got Empty House scenario and SAVE the world. Convinced myself that the first one couldn't be But the Earth Refused to Die again":D
What the Frisk - 1/6, got Core Approach
Really like your quizzes, they make a good challenge!
12:31
I have no idea how
But I guessed it correctly by using a completely unrelated song
That last reversed part sounded like The World Revovling to me and I got SAVE the World
I got 37 right.
Now if that proves how much time I’ve spent listening to the Undertale Soundtrack, I don’t know what does.
Missed a ton of them but I’m lowkey proud of myself for recognizing wrong enemy and SAVE the world
Can’t believe I missed amalgam, though, it’s one of my favorite songs in the game.
7:10 me: GASTER THEME GASTER THEME
when level 2 played the reverse i got what it sounds like forward but didn’t know the name
For someone who has not played undertale in about a year, 17/18 (depends on if the fun value question counts or not, I guessed 64) points is pretty good
pretty good indeed!
7:05 dawg gasters theme should be in its own super baby easy mode tier everyone knows that one by now xddd
i was waiting for one of the reverse ones final power
I got 41 no freaking way! (Pretty sure I didn’t guess finale in the name four of five one)
it’s a struggle when I know I recognize the song but can’t recall the name.
I haven’t been in Undertale for a while. And I know I might be rusty but oh my god
