  • When I first heard of Yuma, initially what came to mind was rattlesnakes and scorched desert. What a beautiful surprise to be riding along the Colorado River, enjoying the views, riding through the Yuma Wetlands.
*Hi, I'm Tyler and my wife Kari and I are traveling physical therapists. We started Roadtrippingpt as a way to share our adventures with family and friends as we traveled the county working various assignments. Traveling as a career was never the plan, but it found us! Having lived in 7 different states, we wanted to document and share the beauty that is the United States*

I understand Tyler is a stud and fit as a fiddle, but, as an owner of a 60 lbs Ebike myself, him carrying Kari's bike like it was a feather, was quite impressive. That whole red clay gunking up your tires made me cringe. In two years ive managed to lay the bike down on similar muddy rail trails after flooding. You completed the ride, thats all that matters.

Haha don’t let the video fool you, it was heavy. I had the benefit of cutting out the clips that looked like i was struggling 😀. The dirt was so sticky and made it impossible to move the tires. Happy we made it through and that it cleared up. Made for a good memory.

You’re right. Perfect timing. It was a nice 70-80 degrees, lots of spring flowers and a good flow of the river. Definitely a nice view and surprise beauty. I’m sure July will be scorching.

Completing the trail ,is all that matters at the end of the day, and going through the red clay, is impressive, because its tough pedaling at times, like going up a good hill, congratulations to the both of you ,Kari and Tyler power. 😊
