youtube is such a syndicate. my heart sinks. keep shilling each other's stuff.. keep making money and keep telling people that success is just little bit ahead. i like how noah made all the rounds of the big podcasters with his book which basically can be dialled down into: find an idea, get someone to pay for it. the thing is if noah wasnt born in silicon valley and had become friends with tim ferriss, he would never have made it this big. that is the secret which people dont talk about.
1000% true. Generational wealth and nepotism affords most successful entrepreneurs the time to hustle and access to the right minds and capital to move things forward.
Ok but what’s your solution here ? Should we sit on our hands and do nothing ? I see these videos as short term inspiration and not a blue print for success. Something to spark that little flame to help take a step in the right direction to better myself. I don’t see anything wrong with that. And it sure beats watching baby reindeer on NF.
Too true. Kind of reminds me of the gaming industry. The advertising clients we work with are constantly up against negative press from failing to deliver and those are generally the ones we avoid working with entirely. Build a castle on sand, watch it crumble. You can sell anyone a dream if you're good at sales or networking. If you put the practice in for how to try and deliver that after the fact.... you're gonna have a bad time. The reality is a blend of both is needed realistically and that's why building a business is tough because not many can do those things in tandem.
@@pakman2816 the solution here is better education which teaches how to actually build a business. his book is filled with faff. and breaking monopolistic companies so that capitalism can thrive.
I just want to preface this with, I'm not a serial entrepreneur nor author of some book. But something with the phrasing around this video made me fall into disagreement. While a customer first product mindset is absolutely valid and maybe should be applied more often - I think its misleading or even wrong to recommend that you should sell something before you build it. In reality your customers are then not paying for a product, but for your idea - its why we have so many kickstarter scandals with products that never gets to reality. Its of course important to validate your approach and product, and its great if you can get people to commit and show their genuine interest, but not at the cost of paying customers that don't yet have your product in hand.
Also not a serial entrepreneur, but I've backed a few Kickstarters that turned into vaporwear, I get where you're coming from. The examples given -- dog sitting, meal prep don't require significant intellectual property or development time up front. These are "fast things you can create or offer to fix what bugs you and see if it bugs other people, too." If it does take a lot of time to build something, it's even more important to get feedback and understand what people are willing to spend money on. I think part of asking people in our network to be our first sales is because 1) if they're not interested, we know them well enough to ask them about what they really want (aka the dog walker vs dog sitter idea), and 2) they know us and likely trust us not to take their money and run, plus 3) we now have societal pressure to perform because it's awkward being at a dinner party with a neighbor who bought your $20 app and you never delivered.

Just what I needed ☺️ thanks as always Ali!
Perfect time ,i ve started 2024 jan, mobile maintenance business in Ethiopia.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I feel like this video may have just saved me years of my life.
Great Video Ali! - Can the comments section validate this business Idea? - Who would pay for a Habit Tracking App that Gamifies your life like an RPG & gives you xp in certain skills - Think RuneScape but you set your own skills
Holy moly this is a wake up call for me. All these years, I have been doing "founder approach" without success. I am a software engineer and I could spend months building an app that I thought would generate me money in the long run without validating the idea first. It sounded cool in my mind though :D
Hey, if I’m looking to work with a software developer, in your opinion, where is a good place to find them/ network?
Ali is always so on point at the right time
exactly:)
One of your most inspiring videos!
I just bought that and started reading it! I started the challenges.
This is a fantastic breakdown of Million Dollar Weekend and the actionable steps it provides for aspiring entrepreneurs.
BTW, for anyone unsure where to begin with their business ideas, starting with problems you're passionate about solving is a great way forward. This video is packed with strategies to help you take that first leap. Thanks for sharing such insightful content!
Ali's energy is so inspiring, love how passionate he is about entrepreneurship.
Thanks for a great content, Ali! Would love to get a copy of this book now!
As an artists trying to sell on Etsy this year, I have always found it hard to know what problem we’re trying to solve.
People's need for meaning and beauty. Perhaps the most important problem of all.
Great work bro, thank you. I'll keep in mind customer first approach is key
Very great lesson! Just in time when I was crafting my own ideas of business
Adoro que hayas comenzado a traducir los vídeos al español o RUclips, porque sentía que me pedía cosas. Mil gracias por tus vídeos Ali, me encantan 😍
I think the first step at all is building an audience. If you don't have an audience, you can't sell the product or service before you make it.
"Now, not how"
I love that wow
You work for 40yrs to have $1M in your
retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K in a meme coin from just a few months ago and now they are multimillionaires....
I want to compliment you, you have said it all. I am a little business owner and I really want to expand my business to the next level by making myself an investor but I really don't know how to go about it..
@geralyncainglet2626 You are right. Been thinking of going into gold and cyptocurrency
Assets that can make you rich
*FX
*Btcoin
*Stocks
*Gold
*Real estate
You’re right but a lot of people remain poor due to ignorance
Not because of ignorance, it’s because of the high rate of unprofessionalism in the cypto market
I just got an ad about a course teaching how to find a billion dollar idea xD
2 seconds ago Ali said there is no right idea and here the ad is 🤣🤣
Well explained. Thank you for bringing up this video. Financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject ..... Thanks to Gianna Everett the lady you recommended.....
No doubt!! I never knew she had gone viral. I decided to back up my assets and property with her when we met at a conference in New Jersey for the first time.
Her method Surprises me. When I saw testimonies all over the place I thought it was made up of stories till I gave it a try and honestly I made a vast profit.
Wow, you know Gianna too? I thought I'm the only one she has helped work through the fears and falls of the forest. Her trading last week was amazing and the strategies she applied were mind blowing...
Investing appropriately today can save you a whole lot of stress in the near future, so anyone who is not investing now is missing a great Opportunity.
As of last week I counted on $5,000 but don't just know how to diversify it.
Brilliant video. Thank you for the shared information and books. As someone starting a business, I would like to mention the book 'The Hidden Truths Of Wealth'. In the book, the story goes really deeper into the secrets of money and making it, so I recommend the book. Congratulations for the video.
I personally found it on a page called "Borlest"

I've never heard someone compare starting a business to having children 🤣That's awesome! Great video.

Give back their money. Next idea. Done :)
I am 17 and wanted to have a potential idea for starting a business in the future. Thanks for the warning 🙏😂 . Now I can ask people about their problems and make a business out of it.
The video is so concise and you summarise the book so well and give great advice. Thank you, Ali! 🎉
