They are using "white voice", an ancient Balto-Slavic singing technique. Many Slavic countries have these preserved in their folk songs, usually in rural areas and folklore groups. In my own Croatian hood, our grannies and moms used to sing like that in continuity for centuries.

    To the arms of Mara
Oh, the snow-white one, oh, the winter came unsummoned.
Oh, the dire one, oh, with silver snow she covered
My pour soul and heart, oh, the winter froze my spirit,
Turned my tears to ice, and took them to chain the river.

Oh, the snow-white one came and brought the thoughts of sandess.
I can see no sun, and the full moon rules the heavens.
Wandering the night, I can hear the death is sneaking.
And a storm of white's keep on dancing, wildly shrieking.

Oh, the dire one came and filled my core with sorrow,
Oh the freezing one, oh, the winter came unsummoned.
Winter brought me down, took it all and left me nothing,
    Oh, the snow-white one.

Snowy spruces are swaying on a freezing wind, and
It's the dire one that keeps howling loud in me, and
With an icy shards she keeps knocking on my window,
    Oh the dire one.

Oh, I can not sleep, soul is hunted down by winter.
She took him from me, took my sweetest friend from me, and18
Baned his soul with cold, with her evil charms and sorrow.
Oh, the dire one led him to the arms of Mara.

I used to study Russian, don't know enough to follow Irina (red dress) or Aliya (green dress) as they're performing.
The title is a bit of mistranslation, more of an English colloquial, this would be but this is the best translation I've seen for this song though:
    In Mara's Embrace
    White winter, came without asking,
Came fierce, covered with snow's silver .
Turned my soul and my heart into ice,
Covered the river with frozen tears.
    White winter brought wicked thoughts.
The sun hid and there is a full moon in the sky.
In twilight wandering, I hear death sneaking quietly.
The snowstorm is still whistling and circles dashingly.
Fierce winter settled coldness in a heart.
Came cold, yet came without asking.
Brought loneliness, took all my strength
    White winter.
Snowy firs swaying in the wind,
Yet fierce winter doesn't end in heart.
Knocked on the window with a blizzard
    Fierce winter.
Oh, I can't sleep, the blizzard filled my soul.
The winter led a dear friend away.
Winters wicked spells ruined a soul,
Fierce winter took in Mara's embrace.

If you like interesting vocals, check out a band called The HU Band. They're from Mongolia, and use a lot of traditional throat-singing. A great track is Wolf Totem, and their debut was one called Yuve yuve yu, also a great track, just not as great as Wolf Totem IMHO.

Mara is the Slavic goddess of Winter, Death, Rebirth (nature). In the clip, the Warrior is already in the arms of Mary, both in terms of a natural phenomenon, and in the fact that he is on his last trip in the afterlife ...

Mara is a Neo-Pagan deity, not a pagan one. The ancient Slavs never had such a "goddess of death", at least it is not known from sources. But Mara is the latest invention of the neo-pagans, in Slavic folklore "mara" were spirits that bring nightmares to the sleepers. By the way, this word is the same root as the word "nightmare", for example. This is not surprising, because they are both from Indo-European languages.
