There are a few editing issues. The black screen, several "Not exactlt sure..." takes back to back at 18:34 and the outro screen I think the video was meant to start sooner, the music starts playing loudly before Michael is finished talking. (May have rushed this one out, I think)

This experiment could open the gate for Blizzard to bring back older raids on a seasonal basis; bring the difficulty up to the current level, scale the gear to that seasons ilvl, and let people experience the old content that's gathering dust. People whine and complain that the game is stale and that older content is irrelevant, even in the same expansion, and I bet there will be loads of people complaining about this (despite it being an entirely optional thing that costs nothing if you're already subbed).
Let Blizzard cook with these experiments, especially if they're not required and can bring about good ideas and where they can improve.
This whole thing seems like a testing ground for rebuilding chromie time, eternus is involved and chrome time should’ve always been this I should’ve got the whole story from whatever ex pac I decided to level in
You used to be able to rub old content without level scaling making it impossible. To me, this event isn’t anything like plunderstorm. This is just mist with a twist. It’s nothing new. Just reskins of mounts and gear. Nah. Sounds boring as hell
It's gonna be great. Can't please some people. Best expansion or at least top 2-3? Check. Insane aoe and survivability and mobility on all classes that you can customize yourself? Check. Massive exp gains and scaling raid content while leveling. Gonna be so good!
i mean there was that molten core raid once, and there is time walking black temple and ulduar tho those seem to be fairly dead content not worth doing

They're farming engagement. It's a common new tactic on youtube people started doing recently. Do something obviously stupid, or frustrating that will make people rewind and comment about it. Guarantee this video gives them almost 2x the views from recent videos.
Yep, I'm coming back for this. Plunderstorm didn't interest me at all, but I'd definitely love to just blaze through Mists to level some classes I've never played at max level.

It was a great expansion one of my favorites there with Wrath, Legion, and Dragonflight for me. It’s a shame people hated it cause of pandas because it was an amazing expansion
I rage quitted when it was announced but eventually tried it and it ended up being one of my favourite expansions. Most of my best wow related memories happened there. They poured a lot of love into MoP. I'm excited for this

Same, I actually love it when they recycle the old zones, dungeons and raids. There's a lot to pick from. In the past I missed 9 years worth of content so it's really nice to experience it as if it was new
Im so HYPE i never got to play MOP so im glad i can play it now with people actually being there
MoP was one of the best expansions as a whole. Some people complain about the panda's not being canon, but if you look at systems, gear progression and so on, it was one of the best made expansions made.

The War Within will be WoW 11.0, so we'll be close to have 12 diferent campaigns, like 12 months in a year. It'd be cool if we could have like January with the full vanilla campaign, February TBC, March WotLK, etc, so we can properly experience all expansions in its entirety. Timewalking gave you access to instances disonnected from their environments, Chromie Time improved that but lacks raids and certain quest chains, so something like this could be the icing on the cake. It looks like Blizzard is finally unleashing the insanely huge potential of 20 years worth of content.
Im really worried that this + the EXTREMELY shortened Cataclysm Classic, means we wont get MoP classic, which has me believing either they are trying to merge Classic into retail, or they are going to attempt a classic + post Cata.
Which I want both these things to happen. (Let me bring my earned shit in old wow into retail) but also i want Classic +... but The possibility of no MoP Classic is such a sad thought.
At the same token , accelerated cataclysm classic is welcomed ^^
I played wow from vanilla till beginning of bfa. And MoP pvp is still the best time I’ve had. So amazing.

Cata wasn’t terrible but it definitely wasn’t well received overall compared to other expansions it’s more on the level of WoD and BFA. It didn’t have big AP grinds, but it just didn’t have enough to make it interesting. I’m surprised they even did it tbh

All I remember about it was that I liked the gear progression every week and I know I had fun, but not sure why (I just have a bad memory lol).
This is the EXACT thing I wanted. I've wanted "the entire xpac; as a leveling experience" for chromie time since it was implemented. I am incredibly excited (for the chicken backpack)

I really hope they re activate the cloak questline and let people enjoy it again. ive still never understood why they removed it when they have left other legendary questlines in game
Would be cool to be able to get the Grandfathered SoO Heirloom weapons. I didn't play MoP and so I missed out on those crazy BiS weapons.

i have wanted this for YEARS.
What I would love is to do this for every expansion and make it permanent. During those down times in between expansions, it would be awesome to start up an alt, and just relive the nostalgia of going through the story campaign of an older expansion from start of the story to finish in a solo friendly PVE guided manner.
This needs to be made permanent and expanded!
Honestly the only thing this thing is missing is the ability to be able to bring in your existing characters. Hopefully this does get rolled into Chromie time in some form. I'd love to be able to re-do quests or generally take alts through that content without needing to make a new character. Maybe its a niche thing, but some of that content is something you wanna replay once in a while. And the current state of the game will not allow you to do it in a non-faceroll way after a certain level
I could see a bimonthly or quarterly event surrounding a previous expansion that allows people to level to the current cap, with cool rewards, all while experiencing an expedited version of the story line, including end game.
Okay, did I miss it or is this going to be our regular characters to level or do we have to do a new one from scratch? I have my alts in various stages of leveling and I would like to finish those out rather than trying to come up with new ones. Otherwise, it sounds awesome because MP was my all-time favorite expansion and one I've returned to a few times to level.
They’re separate, brand new characters. Once time running is over they are moved to The War Within. Basically a power leveling event
So glad they are doing this. I had this idea for wow ages ago, thought it'd be so cool to have the full expansion content for levelling a character, instead of just partially doing the X.0 campaign

MoP was one of those expansions that you knew was great while you were playing it. Crazy that is has been 10 years since it ended.
Super excited for this, mop is my favorite expac and although I'm not expecting it I do hope I can get some of the challenge mode sets for the classes I didn't get.

Very interested in understanding the viability of this as a new player experience. Left WOW 15 years ago pre-MOP, and I've been tempted to return for The Worldsoul Saga. I've been held back by the general consensus that the new player experience is bad.

This is way more up my alley than Plunderstorm, which I really didn't like. I hope this is setting up two things 1. a much better leveling experience that doesn't yank you out of your path as soon as you're the correct level to start the new expansion, and 2. a way for Blizz to allow us to replay old content at will. For example, people seem really hype about Xal'Atath/Y'Shaarj right now for TWW... I don't know shit about them. What if Blizz could curate a kind of "Quest Playlist" that would run me through quests that set up this storyline that they're reviving? I definitely think it's cool that they're experimenting.

Most important question this all looks good but what about PvP? We got some fun BGs and WPvP to do? Attaining all this new power means nothing if you can't slay other players.

Does this only work for leveling new chars created for this "event" or can it be used to level existing retail toons that have not yet made it to 70?
If we can finally have the opportunity to get the cloak for Timeless isle to access Ordo I will do a happy dance. Also, if we are thinking about remixing old content, I would love to see more partial boss rush things like what they did for the WoW anniversary. It was awesome to jump through the past and do old raid bosses, but at the end of one phase you jump to another raid boss entirely. Going from Heigen's safety dance to Anubarak's orbs, and finishing off at the final phase of the Lich King was some of the most fun I have had playing WoW.
can anyone help me understand what is there to be excited about considering that the talents are still the same a DF?
only issue I have is the account limit, what if you are the ones who have max characters made... how will that play out?
Blizzard said they will increase the max characters when it releases so that those who already have max don't have to delete anything.

This is sounding like a retrofit in adding campaign quests to older expansions. If this is successful and theyre able to do this with even older expansions as well it would be a great way to reintroduce and streamline the questing experience from vanilla to modern wow. I hope this is a hit.

A big step in the right direction for this game. There is so much content that basically goes unused in this game, great to see them "remixing" some of it for our enjoyment. This seems like a lot to do, the one concern is time. Season Four is ongoing and the pre patch is not too far off (not to mention, SOD, Cata Classic, etc).
Maxing out every class, so glad I never leveled alts till now 😂😂

Idk, it's obviously very speculative, but seems like it would make sense in my mind. 🤔but im always excited for them using past expansions and giving them more then a fate of sitting on a shelf to collect dust.
I think you're 100% right. I think they came to a conclusion that they are done releasing "Classic" Versions after Cata and will be using this "Remix" thing as a way to experience the Classic vibes of going back to play the old content. And the new Classic thing will be Classic+ after SOD is done, where they will keep adding onto Classic Era as if they were taking the game into a new direction back in 2006.

The big thing that will be missing from such a change is old talents, systems and stats etc.
Getting to play with old versions of classes is one of the big draws.
Can still be implrmented though
@@PregnantOrc I feel you, but idk, I feel it would be interesting to really feel how powerful we are ATM with just a ton more customizations/options through that time in the game IMO. Atleast from my perspective and from what I've heard, people think most classes feel busted due to the endless power creep. So idk, guess we'll have to wait and see though.

This is a fantastic idea and a huge move from blizzard to allow these characters to be carried over to war within. Wow sits on a mountain of content in need of a touch up and hopefully we will see more of this. I started playing wow at the end of MOP (and hated it, the leveling experience was horrendous) And then came back with the leveling revamp for Legion and havnt stopped since. I would LOVE to experience these expansions with the same hype as they had at launch but also with a modern touch up, this is that, and I am so very excited.

It would be amazing if you could actually earn the achievements correlated with each expansions areas and questing, to unlock per say meta achievements like "Loremaster" through said event. Then that would give them a better reason to create events based around other expansions which in turn would maintain player retention or hell even bring people back to WoW or into WoW's community.
It sounds interesting, but I think calling it retail’s version of SoD is a stretch. The most big and crazy thing from SoD is that there are big changes and crazy new secret things. Other than new temporary gear pieces/linked abilities and new transmog items, what’s new? None of the BIG new stuff seems to be present, like brand new raids. Imagine if they had secretly unlockable races and this is how you could get them, like Jinyu and Hozen. Imagine if there was a whole new secret raid (like Gnomeregon and Karazham Crypts from SoD.)
We are in Dragonflight, wrath of the litch king is the classic expansion, we have a vanilla+ version of the game, we are about to be in The War Within, there is also going to be cataclysm classic beta, we currently have a battle royale version of the game, and we are going to be getting a revamped mists of pandaria seasonal version of the game
This should be a regularly rotating event that replaces chromie time
Lets hope for Legion Remix, that was my favorite. Really excited for this, a good idea from Blizz.
I've been advocating for literally years now for Blizzard to turn old expansions and their story arcs into massive leveling areas for alts, dungeons and raids included.
I hope one day Devs will listen and have new players start playing in the latest content from the go, instead of wasting time in areas empty of players and which make no sense story-wise.

This is actually good. Plunderstorm wasn't bad because it was pvp. It was bad because it wasn't part of the MMORPG. this is actually the MMORPG but in a different way. This is neat.
