    Another great video, Gary! I was out this weekend crevassing on a very isolated patch of river and came up on some younger men working a bank with a sluice. We got to talking and the guy says to me that he’s learned everything he knows from this guy on RUclips..but he couldn’t remember his name. After listening to him talk a bit I said, “you’ve been watching Two Toes!” He was so enthusiastic with what he’s learned from your RUclips post (as am I). Anyway, I thought that was pretty cool considering we were the only people around for quite a ways and here we are two Two Toes fans. Keep it up!

    My FAVORITE is panning out crevice targets and panning them out.. That shine in the pan is just indescribable. Taking that chance of finding big gold or nothing, is the gamble some of us with gold fever live for! I find there is a tough balance between being productive out there, and bringing the camera equipment to share it. Time gets lost when filming but ive learned that I would rather share my experience with other enthusiasts rather than find gold all by myself. I really enjoy watching your videos Gary and I cant wait to *actually* come and meet the king.

    This is one of most genuine, honest and humble gold prospecting channels I follow, and also one of the most successful and educational in gold prospecting! I really appreciate the effort to make such great videos, you know... carrying cameras, mikes and stuff around... taking the time to explain and analyze the situation "live"!

    • @TwoToes
      @TwoToes  5 лет назад +2

      The access is very limited. Most of the lead you find in the rivers comes from the solder they used on the old canned goods, bullets, and fishing weights. Most of the old camps are downstream, its a lousy area to hunt ( to steep). A few fishermen will hike up there and that's most the lead I find.

    Wow Gary! Great finds. Love those spots that are hard to get to because there's usually something left! I've tried taking a borrowed metal detector up to the spot I met you at, but the Gold Bug 2 just squeaks all over the place at everything at that location, definitely doesn't sound crisp and clear like the machine you are using, maybe too many hot rocks or something. I like the idea of metal detecting right against bedrock in the crevice though, that makes sense! Good job

    Gary, I'm burnt out on small gold too... I will be going as near to Reeds gold mine\Little Meadow creek as I can get very very soon.... I just don't believe that all big gold has been found here in Americas first gold rush area in North Carolina. I've been prospecting since the 70's... From Haile gold mine and Brewer gold mine areas of South Carolina, and so over North Carolina gold belt region. I'm still using my GoldBug and all other equipment... One of my favorite sluice boxes? The Grizzly3. BearBottom Mining did a fine job on this design. I'm surprised that I don't see anyone using it to prospect with. Ok...thanks for all you share with us!

    Great stuff Gary, what beautiful gold. Why don't you try MineLabs SDC 2300. Not only is it waterproof but designed for what you're doing there. Apparently its a very good all-rounder. I know it's not US tech, but it is new technology that's meant to work a treat and probably worth a try. I don't have one, just been watching a few shows where people have been using them like WestOzAdventures where they use the SDC as a backup to their big detectors. The big detectors have the big coils that cover more ground faster, and probably deeper, where the SDC with the smaller coil takes a little longer but is more sensitive. Just a thought.
    Beautiful area to be in, would have liked to see a bit more of the surrounding wilds, maybe a bit of the walk in/out.
    Thanks for the share :)

Thank you kindly.

      The Goldbug 2 is a great detector. Not to sure about the pro, I think 19 kHz is to low for the smaller pieces. The vlf detectors do have there limitations but they can find very small gold and can work in some areas where the pulse machines don't work as well.
