Eating a slice of Cold Pizza and watching a Two Toes video of Gary beating me brings back memories of almost every trip out to the Hills looking for Gold !!!!
The water has dropped we need to finish those crevices and see what Gold we left hanging out there for the summer !!! Thanks for watching we have a great time out prospecting the Gold is just a Bonus !!!!! A Good Bonus
I look forward to your videos more then my favorite TV shows. They should give you a show on tv!
Great day! so glad you found the recording, I love the look of that ground! 👍
Great job Two Toes 🤙, always a pleasure.
Creviceing, I love hate the day I learned about this. Find more gold but it is hard on the joints. Always informative Gary 👍👍😁
Morning coffe , TwoToes and Smithsgold video !!
Always a good start to a work week .
This was a fun video. Jeff was playing the part of 'THE PRICE IS RIGHT' hostess, Holly (she's way prettier), on your gameshow,'THE PLACE IS RIGHT'!! You did find some real nice gold, though.
Lol 😂 Too funny !
That looks like a great spot and some nice gold Gary, Jeff will find a nugget one of these days to end up with the bigger poke its gotta happen! But you know what they say, "Gold is where Gary finds it".. lol
I always enjoy watching you two compete. Great friends great weather and awesome gold. Much love from lake county
That’s a great looking spot! I like how steep the canyon walls are! Makes for a good spot to look on bedrock!
I stop digging in water too lol.. the gold is just to hard to grab ahold of !!
Nice chunky gold Gary :D
Give Jeff a chance to catch up ah!!!
Gary,
I cannot help but chuckle when Jeff does the thumbs up. He says more in that moment than words can express. Friendly challenge is on to see who gets the most gold.
I suspect you can hear Jeff holler from a good distance when he finds some gold.
Well, you've got most of the hard part dug out so you can get right to it if it's dry next time.
Can't complain about a gram though.
Looking forward to the next vid.
😁 jeff sleeping on the job! 😉👍🏻⛏ really nice looking gold thanks for the video........ careful with the dredge 🤣👍🏻
I left a nugget just out of reach in a crevice one day. When i returned with a longer tool i discovered my spot covered in several feet of overburden...I still know exactly where it is and i am reminded everytime! i must hike past it..
sweet spot love to see that great vid
Great job even finding nice gold with no detector
It felt like I was missing a arm. lol
The rain's going to be back before it gets low enough. I got skunked this weekend, fishing, but I hiked for over 6 miles on the coast, so it was a great day anyway.
By the way...forgot to mention, you are by far one of the best field teachers I’ve watched since I started watching your videos. I’d sure love the opportunity to put some of your excellent instructions to work! Thank yo7 so much for putting your videos out there. Craig
You've taught me so much about crevices. Wish I could get your tools shipping to Blighty 👍🏻
When u get down to the last bit of water that's hard to scoop, you can throw in the driest dirt you can find to soak it up and dig/scratch that out.
Great video lol love the competition rivalry 😂🍻🍻
Like your persistence, Gary and Jeff. Thank you both for sharing.
Jeff's days comming Real Soon
He's practicing his dance moves for when it does.
Cheers Bruce.
thanks Bruce
Nice nugget. Very coarse looking. You're probably close to the source. Keep on digging !!
Fun...Times
laughter is the best medicine
THANK YOU BOTH
Your pile of gold is getting Bigger and BIGGER
Persistence paid off Gary. That is a beautiful little nug you got.
Thanks Gary
Good show
Good luck Jeff, you better bring a big lunch if your going to be Gary!
LOL !!!!!
and bring your brother too, as my dad would say.
you have great classes 'in the field' to watch! we work the Northwest Cascades crevices. Blessings to you and yours- Joey (semperfi) From Seattle
At 15:40 into video as well as the intro... Looked like something worth chip sampling and crushing up to see if it is gold baring. Looks good to me ! I would
Awesome finds, well done fellas
I root for Jeff 😂
Yes !!!!!! Thanks buddy
What, no hand dredge? I got a super soaker pump toy from the Dollar Store that works great.
I might have to get one of those !!!!
@@Smithsgold watch the grease they lube it with......
As always I learned something from your video. Thanks Gary, Semper Fi and Heavy Pans!
Watchable as ever Gary
Hi Jeff! Keep old Gary honest!
I'm trying !!!
The water, like the rent, is just too damned high! XD
lol
@@TwoToes i was wondering where to ask this to get a response from ya, but since i am sure you have more info on the matter, where do you go to melt your gold down? i have about 2/3 ounce and wanted to make a ring pendant nothing too complicated. but i don't have a torch, or molds, and going to established jewlers will cost you an arm and a leg. i was hoping to find a local small time jewlery maker who i could work with and pay reasonable amount to refine and cast the piece. any recommendations?
I'm not going to be much help on this one, I have never had any gold melted down. I would think who ever is going to make the ring can melt it down. I have always sold it as is, I get more for it that way.
Get you a hand pump or build you a hand dredge. What the aussies call a yabby pump.
Hey Gary got a tip for you that I thought of when you were trying to clear water out of that hole. I use these large heavy duty sponges that I take with me when I go kayaking. You can find em at Home Depot. They work great at soaking up lots of water quickly. Besides that they are very light, when dry and can be compressed small for easy packing. Also you can squeeze them into tight places where it would be hard to fit pans and scoops into. Give it a try, I think you’ll like it
I like it! thanks will give it a try.
Milwaukee 18 volt vacuum to suck everything out of those holes. Just a thought.
Buy a few batteries and you could make your clean outs faster.
Love all of your vids sir
When I listen your title music...I just wanna run towards himalayan rivers and start gold prospecting using my ML Monster 1000....
im sure theres some gold around there too!
I'm sick of high water.I just need to get where I want but can't because it's been flooded for weeks.
I use a turkey basker to suck up the bottom water
And I also put that extra hose on it too
Nice gold mate yea harrr
Crouch Oz
as always... A great video. Thank you for sharing.
Lol I was confused for half the video until you mentioned when it was shot. I just had to dam a whole creek this weekend to get enough flow for my little sluice, was starting to wonder how much lower you expected it to get!
You guys crack me up. Great video a great watch 😊
LOL !!!!! Thanks for watching
i was working a crevise and the gold ran out, so i filled it up with water washed all the sides down and hit it with a hand held gabby pump, bam more gold two toes. placerville hardware has them for twenty buks. work great, and i know how you are about getn all the gold.
The California Fish and Game authorities can rest assured that no fish were harmed by the dredging activity depicted in this video. A lot of nice rough character in that one piece for gold from that spot. It did not travel far.
LOL
Good morning
Hey Gary. I sent this comment and edited it a month ago so hello from the past🍻. See you in the future. Unfortunately the gold you found has a short shelf life and is now stale and out dated 😲
Thanks for sharing, love your stuff, use your tools.
G'day Gazza from Australia. You were saying suction dredging, of any kind, is illegal, over your way, is that correct? Powered dredging here is illegal, but we can manually suction dredge. The mighty YABBIE pump, is a favourite. For cleaning out holes and crevices, great tool. All sorts of fittings, and modifications, are made by users, for all sorts of applications. They are actually made for pumping little crustaceans out of sand bars, for fishing bait. At which they excell.
If its fun, its illegal in this state.
this is always interesting!
Thanks
Another great video buddy 👍
Love your video mate 👊🏻🤠👍🏻
Great video. Always look forward to your posts. :)
What state are you in? You've got some nice looking rivers there
Northern California.
Super persistent hacker tries the same password over and over again, until it works. Super persistent treasure hunter Gary - dig the same hole over and over again until 1 kilo chunks of gold or oil are found!-)))
Hey Gary i know probably keep all your gold but I’ve been looking for a nugget just like that course piece you found with a hole in it!! I want to make a necklace out of a piece like that. If you ever wanna sell it let me know! Great video 👍
You had a really good day I'd say I useually just find black sands.More potencial of haveing more gold there keep cracking bedrock and go deep.
i tell you what Gary , how about next time you guys go out , you pick a spot for Jeff , and Jeff picks a spot for you , and just to see what the outcome is ,and who gets the most Gold , that way we'll know if Jeff is jinxed , i think that makes sense , doesn't it , lol you's must be having too much fun if your forgetting to post your vids , cheers guys , and i'd be happy with over a gram also .
Great video Gary, just wondered whether u can use a hand pump there?
Any day finding gold, is a good day. Hope you two were able to make it back up there, before the rains hit. Any sniping trips planned Gary?
Soon ( I hope )
I'd be ok with a gram too
Shaloms ! !
Talk about between a rock and a hard place
I hope you make it back there before the water rises. Or is it already too high? Rivers around here in Willamette valley been coming right up with all the rain we have been getting.
That's a nice looking hole
👍👍👏
Im coming to vegas next week .how can i hook up with some one to take me gold manning ir metal detecting .got my own equip. Would love to go .its my birthday and i am from maine. .
Gary, how can a “newbie” find out where he can go in the high sierras and NOT be claim jumping. Is there an online resource I can use, or do I just ask someone like you who’s been at it for decades? I haven’t got a clue. Thanks, Craig
Two Toes have you done any prospecting on the Middle Yuba?
Hi Gary, hope you’re well. I wanna ask simple question, i come from a country in Asia, we have regions like CA, but no one has done sniping and crevicing there. We have bed rocks, boulders and everything you work on, do you think there’s gold accumulated under those rocks/crevices?
If there is gold in the river, it will settle in the cracks just like here.
Two Toes thank you 😊
do you know of an assay place in california I possibly found a gossen (if I spelled it right) big belt of rust need to have it looked at I have talked to a guy in colorado is my option so far there has to be one out here
Hi I have become extremely interested in the prospecting life- style due to Your videos. Do you think it is worth it for me to join the GPAA. Or is it better to prospect on my own?
@Two Toes what elevation are ya at ?
2500 ft.
Gary, Why not use your detector too?
Did not take it in. The hike down there is fairly steep. If I have a full pack, I like to have both hands free. Plus every now and then I like to go old school and see if I can still find gold.
oh yea gotta post it , beat jeff. lol
Okaaay, you're getting chunky gold, which would tell me that there is a vein of gold....somewhere upstream. So how would you find that vein and become filthy rich? I know there is a vein of solid gold somewhere. Right?
You need a sucker tool
So........was watching the 1969 movie called The Undefeated, with John Wayne and Rock Hudson last night. While on the trail, John Wayne meets an old indian pal by the name of, you guessed it....................Two Toes !!!!!!!
Most actors I would not cross the street to meet, John Wayne - I would kill a family of five to have a beer with.
@@TwoToes Yes, he was an icon of what America was all about, you will never see that again Im afraid............he must be turning in his grave
HAHAHAHA...
If you could spell you might find something wally
I'm a product of the public school system.
I don't know why you don't wear knee pads or that rock? Janet
I guess over the years I have got used to it, has never bothered me.
Wow that's great then, I would need pads....
Tell Jeff, my youngest brother's name by the way, to lay off the sugar or like me you will be missing a partner one day because he was fat, sick and half dead all the time and died early.
I've started walking in the evenings 4 miles last Night. I quit drinking soda almost two years ago trying to get rid of that spare tire I'm dragging around.
@@Smithsgold Good for you man, I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't care. I'm a diabetic myself and it's all sugar's fault. Use Stevia.
@Blackstream adventures.... Gary is taking care of his partner Keeping up with the goat is a workout .
Fluffy no fat .😂
Peace
@@ITechcompulock I've cut way back on the Suger's I thought being pro active was a good thing and No caffeine for almost 5 years now !!!! Thanks for thinking about me.
@@tdiron5277 To Fluffy for me !!!! plus it's got to be easier hiking not dragging the spare Tire up and down the hills all day !!!!
no more talking....
