I’ve had my GMT for nearly 10 years picked it up almost new , from a deceased estate, the guy was a prospector who built his own aircraft to fly into remote regions in WA. First flight all over 😞, his friend put it up I got it for $350 , since then I’ve found all sorts of relics coins jewellery and Chinese miners copper and brass buttons from the early gold rush days , haven’t had any luck with gold so far but I’m very happy with the machine I think the problem is two things firstly the driver being me the second is just not lucky yet it’s all about perseverance I think and where I’ve been ! Most of my areas have been alluvial gold area very fine flower gold so I’d be stretching to even pick it up ! I will say this ! I was on a beach down the south coast of Nsw and I found a sinker about two feet down in wet black sand , so if I find a gold nugget I’m confident this machine would have no trouble picking it up
