Gifting silver is a great idea - I have managed to converts both my sons’ girlfriends into silver collectors just by gifting interesting pieces and explaining about them for Xmas and birthdays over the last 3 years. Good video and nice Xmas bars. Thanks for showing! 👍
I have given my granddaughter a silver eagle for each year since she was born, (2013). This year I’m filling out the books to give her one of each year since initial issue year 1986. Of course, she gets a gift card from Hobby lobby For the usual stuff an 11 year-old would like to have, but I’m trying to make her aware of what real money is by giving her PMs. I loved the look on her face two years ago when I gave her a Silver Dollar from 1882 and said “look, this coin is 140 years old.” When I was that age 140 years old seem prehistoric.
Great video. I usually stick to bullion coins like silver maples. I'm trying to find things that would appeal to a girl. While I usually focus on premiums, you make a great point about just doing something special like engraving and holiday specific. Thanks. BTW Goonies is what kick started the hobby for me. 😊
Three distant cousins. One of Scottish decent is getting a Silver Britannia, One's Father is getting a Silver Maple Leaf. The third, since every post on Facebook from her that I see, is from a concert, she is getting a Silver Philharmonic.
At the start of the video I thought you were going to say "when i was a child all i wanted for Christmas was my two front teeth" 😂. Excellent video again my friend, as per usual
My wife and I have started getting a batch of current year dated Christmas rounds to give out to friends & family for our holiday gift, instead of doing the usual fruit basket or such.
I give Eagles and other nice silver in AirTite capsules. For $45 for Christmas round and bars… I can buy Engelhard, JM and other vintage material. This year I’m also giving out the 1 oz Perth painted Dragons on the cards. I gave my kids the Red Dragon for Christmas last year. This year it’s the Blue Dragon.
Dub-C I am researching the sigma and if it checks out, I plan on buying one in January. Do you have one? If you do, I would like to know what your opinion is on it in a future video? I am tired of performing 5 or 6 test every time I get metals in and would like to cut it down to ping, weight and sigma if the sigma is a practical tool.
Shik'is! I do have a Sigma and I've actually used it in a few videos. One main point to understand about the Sigma: It won't tell you what you have. You have to tell the Sigma what you think you have based on a few specific presets. Then it will either agree or disagree. I see the Sigma as another pair of eyes. If you are good with a loupe, scale, and calipers, and if you have the $1,000+ and you think you'll use it often, the Sigma makes sense. @@Dub-C_Coins I have that and more,I even have used the ice cube test more often than I can remember. Been doing testing since the early 80's mostly buying sterling silverware and other such sterling items for making jewelry. Stacking grew from that because I kept the nubs in a box then poured my own bars from the nubs. One thing I like about the sigma is that you have to tell it what you have. Thanks for the quick reply.
Love Libertads! Do you mean as gifts or in general? You'll find a pretty deep dive into libertads in Stacking Mexican Silver volume 4B: ruclips.net/video/lHRLYbKnqlw/видео.html
These are lovely silvers 💜✨️
Thanks! Available from Silvertowne directly or from your local coin shop. Support and buy local when you can.
Love giving Silver at Christmas!
Great Video!
Thank you!
A 2,000 year old tradition can't be wrong! Thanks for watching.😀

Thanks Mark! It's a great way to educate and excite people about precious metals.
I have bought my brother a 15 gold rouble as a holiday gift for this year, great video white cross as always.
A great present!
I give maples and eagles and rounds to kids/grandkids as stocking stuffers. I don't know how much they really like them, but I like it.

Hi Dub-C, thanks for the great ideas!
Hey Miles! You're welcome. Hope you're having a great holiday season!
Merry Christmas Dub C!!!

Isn't that funny how movies like Indiana Jones and Goonies can start a life-long passion?

LOL. I just figured there weren't many kids who had dreams of pre-33 gold :)
@Dub-C_Coins you're probably right. My little niece is 5 years old and missing both front teeth right now, that's probably why it popped in my head.

Awesome!
I buy my grandson 1 oz silver bullion every Christmas and birthday.
That's an awesome tradition.

Wise. I like the idea of vintage much more than modern. Greater chance to appreciate, too!
