Roughing aluminium 5083 - Camera test

    Just testing out a new camera. Picture is a little grainy and sound is slightly dubbed due to the camera being in a protective casing.
    40mm face mill, 3 flute aluminium inserts. Running at 780mm/min and 0.22 fz (feed per tooth). 5mm DOC (Depth of cut).
    Would've loved to turn off the coolant, but I was worried about the material gumming up the tool!
    Also the video date is wrong...should probably change that!

    Reminds me of the racket that can come off these machines. Especially working hard on big stuff. I should be deaf by now! Jim

      @@AndrewCAD You will own a Mazak some day ! I can feel it ! But ! I always thought you climbed with CNC mills, your pushing ?

      @@BrainDeadEngineering Haha! We have some Mazak lathes, would love to use a Mazak integrex 😍😂 I was only using a face mill for that process, so I dont think it matters which way I machine 😀 but yes, climb milling is preferred for both tool life, and sanity 😉

      @@AndrewCAD Thank you ! Yes we have some Mazak integra and DMG in my city. I couldn't even turn one on so I lean on cabinet , stare through the acrylic and drool and slobber on it ( Your doing well my boy ! dream big !
