I’m not married or nowhere near marriage 😅 but I love watching and hearing about healthy marriage/relationships. Coming from a household with domestic violence, I crave healthy connection and being in a positively loving relationship. I love love and pray that I’ll be able to use these tools in my marriage when that day comes.
I love hearing the hope in your comment. Your words are calling The Most High to reward your faith. Most sisters should take a page from you. When we wish good for others, FROM OUR HEART.....We invite good to ourselves. So Simple.
As a newly married woman, I find this episode both enlightening and fun to watch. Married women being real about marriage. I love it 🤗 We need to see more of this happening in our community
I agree with Erica. This is the only platform that is promoting love. They promote the way it’s different for every couple but with the same goal... to stay together.
I hope that Michael and his wife never dummy down their love to make others feel comfortable. A great marriage is not unusual it may be uncommon. But if we walk the way that God tells us and the way he explains love this should be our normal. But it appeared that two healed healthy people ready for Love got together I'm with God it works. We need to become more thirsty for testimonies like theirs . WANT GOD DO IT❤️👏💃
Yeesss. We get a lot of 'marriage is haaarrdd' and 'we are kinda happily' married which is ok but think it would be great to hear from those who are truly enjoying their marriage most of the time.
I love this show. Seeing the happy couples really gives me hope. Especially listening to how much Micheal loves his wife. Men really need to hear and see that. Real true love does exist and you don’t have to experience hell with the person you’re very in love and happy with forever. But, seeing love so strong that last through ups and downs is refreshing as well. God bless you all. Thanks for sharing.
I loved listening to the women speak and discuss their views on marriage. I’ve been married for 15 years and I would add that you have to be willing ready and able to sacrifice for one another. Speaking on 15 years of experience. I would also say try to make sure you have your Own Life before you become someone’s Wife. I found myself lost and searching for myself Stacie. Still at the end of the Day I L.O.V.E. Being married to my heart my husband. ♥️
When a man says “I’ve got you 💪🏾” and shows you, you’re free to drop your walls and feel safe & secure. Not that issue’s won’t arise, but you’ll feel reassured that y’all are a team. That’s soooooo beautiful 💞
Discussion on marriage is great! Years ago God convicted me of a few significant things in my marriage and allowed me to focus more on my husband's happiness and less on my own comfort and what I wanted. I was often pointed to Psalm 101 and realized that even my unuttered thoughts were dangerous to our relationship. God is for our marriages, and we fare well when we recognize the role that prayer can play in bringing the oneness God intended. Ladies, let's step it up! The tone of the video with the men's discussion was very different. I was impressed by the way they lifted up their spouses.Wow! Men can love like that?
Erica is so real...she grew up in a poor but loving family...and now she's in a wealthy AND loving family. She has never been fake...she tells flaws, mistakes and all. And resolution...problem solving and seeing the happy results. So good❤❤❤
Yes, we bring our childhood and previous relationship issues into marriage. That stuff will eventually surface in your marriage. I see it all the time in my friend's marriages. But somebody said this and it was so profound: "Marriage is where healing began". And i think about what was said at 20:35 and that makes this statement so true. Thank you for your open and honest confession!!!
I love these shows, and I love the Black Love brand. It's very refreshing for me because it shines a positive light on marriage for those of us that need positive representation. The only thing about this particular episode is that I feel like Erica dominated most of the conversation. At times it felt like a conversation just between Codie and Erica. I would have loved to hear more from the other wives. Love y'all! 💗
Shereen: YESSSSSSS, ‘the grass is greener where you water it and it’s the happily ever after YOU choose’. You know what you chose so remind yourself everyday what you chose & support that #1 by trying not to make it what you didn’t choose 💯 Ownership, thats Queenship in Love, 4 real!!
This was a good hour of my time! I usually don’t watch these types of videos, but i watch everything Gillian and I listen to Erica’s music and met her once 🥰 Thank you for sharing your Loving experiences, Queens!!! Peace and blessings in your partnerships!🙏🏾
Great conversation ladies. Here is a suggestion, although you did introduce the panel at the beginning, it would be helpful to periodically identify each speaker. We don't know everyone. Thank you.
Love this summit. I think a person has to use wisdom in sharing with their village. Everyone doesn't have wise counsel, and sometime the friends and family closest to you does not carry the right spirit. Pray and ask the Lord to reveal the answer and to send wise counsel to your village.
You all are amazing for creating this space for soo much wisdom to be exposed to the black community that has been missing for a while! Experience is the best Teacher!
This was lovely to watch and insightful . I and my husband truly blended to well in our 1st year of marriage amidst misunderstandings, hence we happily look forward to more years of bliss. Love from Nigerian in Abu Dhabi UAE.
I must say am truly inspired by your show thanks to you guys and its great to see black men and women holding each other accountable for their own issues in marriage that's the only way it is going to be powerful enough to last we need to start sit down and mend broken hearts and making them better
I feel you Erica and that's what I love love about my go to Sistership. No bashing assist, all about what can I say to give you advice on giving you the words of encouragement/strength to keep going and Winning.
I love the platform so much, but what I'd like to see is love from a much younger stance possible from a couple like Kaelin and Kyrah here on RUclips. Don't get me every couple adds value, but I'd like to see what does dating etc look like today in my younger generation ( early 20's) and the advice my seasoned couples give to that and the relatedness of possibly shared experiences.
I agree because I am 25 and have been with my significant other for almost five years. And, I would love to hear from people around my age as well. I appreciate the views from these women, but it would be nice to have some age variation and collaboration.
I think it’s important to know who you are and who you are not before you get married so that certain conversations are automatic and we don’t have to copy each others’ methods especially if we already do things differently. If respect and honor (Love) is present then he will see a reflection in his leadership, an equal, and a co-regent. He will know how to submit to the union as she does with him, …a complementing dance of Love and companionship, protected under God. Kingdom building in a legacy of faith and trust!! Blessed, vulnerable, strong, and honorable!
You can't expect to KEEP IT REAL when talking about marriage, because we live amongst people who are aggressively, secretly and unknowingly anti marriage. They impact the culture, so The Most High must be involved in your marriage! I wish they would choose to renew their heart, make room for the commitment that they desire and refuse to block their very own blessing with the distraction of looking for faults with marriage. ALL relationship requires googobs of work. It gets better when the commitment is solidified. Lets give the Black world a chance to survive by moving in the direction of commitment.....cause this commitment plants the seed of UNITY that is required for a people to overcome and establish themselves.
LOL.. I know it's not funny however I can see that her husband wouldn't want to say I'm sorry ... glad she goes to therapy to figure it all out ... him talking to your therapist about you does what for him though ????? 🙄 I am re binge watching episodes .. love all the transparency 💞💞💖 Thank you both 💞💞✌🏽
I have a Suggestion 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Can you guys do a panel of SINGLE black men and woman. Different Ages and views looking for LOVE, MARRIAGE. It would be so nice for you and your husband to host singles as well 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💯💯💯🥰 most of your audience is single to 😉🤣
💕💡I love the idea & the strategy of tabling discussions/putting a pin 📌 it!!! I do this all the time in my work life.💡💕 We can revisit conversations, projects, & decisions. It’s beautiful to be able to pause & come back to something.☺️
Shireen made a point that imstead of waiting on permission to be herself. When my 25 yr relationship ended he told me to find myself. AND I DID JUST THAT. In the process I learned we were so different we chased each other away
Erica: How do you not know the man you married is not the man that would see you like you wanna be seen tho? What was he doing in courtship? I’m always puzzled by these weird surprises after the wedding. Like, if he wasn’t doing that before, why would he all of a sudden start doing it because you’re married?
‘What do you do to get beyond an argument’. Good question Erica!!! Some arguments are not about being right but ppl have that in their mind when there is conflict. Some arguments are about what needs to be corrected. I H8 agree to disagree, especially when a solution is necessary. Not everyone argues for validation. There is actually a purpose. Gillian -- HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD!!!! Disagreements are NOT arguments. Conflicts happen with two different ppl that think differently. Talk it out IF you can get beyond ego to think you’re so important that your validation of right is needed. But you can’t explain this to ppl who get off on proving you wrong to make themselves feel justified or better (ego). & usually it’s the women that end up stroking men’s ego about that, and that’s how it ends, with acquiescing to something superficial and a problem still unresolved *smh* Some ppl are at a resolve of ‘right’ when God tells them they are right 😌 this means there is absolutely NO confirmation or validation needed from the Other (anybody outside of Cellf and God)-it’s just more about what are we gonna do about this problem that needs a solution or this clarity that needs to happen right now. A mature relationship would rise above the attacks of the ego and look to the partnership to get it done, before it comes up again in another way because it’s a pattern of unresolved conflict.
“God’s design for love is so much better than anyone else’s design.”
Absolutely!

Interesting how we all go through similar experiences. There's no formula, we learn as we go along.

The black love summit wives and the husbands panel has greatly impacted my view of my marriage. I genuinely enjoy and appreciate this type of content

Yessss to ALL this ladies, Erica came out the gate, dropping pure gems!! Another amazing panel....
Agreed!💯 Mrs. Erica carried this discussion…

Erica I am so so happy you brought clarity on Love (world vs God’s love)! Thank you 🙏🏽 so many people don’t understand Love!
Yess!! It needed to be said because God’s love is INDESCRIBABLY AMAZING ‼️

This panel blessed me soooooooo much and dropped so much wisdom and jewels! I am thankful for the creators, panel, and this channel.
THIS. RIGHT. HERE! I loved the panel of women and their willingness to be candid and open.
yes i agree @Yvonne F my name sake

Awesome panel! Codie is so adorable and her petty is so fitting. She was like, I can work on it, LOL 😂😂😂😂
She is not petty ...She is being honest
This is so helpful for us single women!! Thank you guys for doing this,
This was a good hour of my time! I usually don’t watch these types of videos, but i watch everything Gillian and I listen to Erica’s music and met her once 🥰
Thank you for sharing your Loving experiences, Queens!!! Peace and blessings in your partnerships!🙏🏾
Love what Michael’s wife brings to the conversation. She represents the real for me and hubby for sure.
Erica did not allow the other panelists to participate. She dominated the entire conversation!
I thought the same. I loved everything she said, but I feel like the other woman didn’t get a chance to really speak.
I wouldn't blame Erica. The moderator has to manage the conversation so everyone gets a chance to speak
This was great! Codie does a great job as always.
This is great! To have a space where we can really dig into how we make our marriages work, is invaluable!
This was great!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😂😂 All beautiful Black queens👑💖💖💖💖
Love love these panels! Very much so needed and helpful. From the me to the women. I definitely took away a lot of valuable information 🤗
Great panel of ladies! Love Black Love!!!
Thank you for this. I am not married yet but I desire to be someone’s wife and I’ve learned so much watching this. ❤️
Great conversation ladies. Here is a suggestion, although you did introduce the panel at the beginning, it would be helpful to periodically identify each speaker. We don't know everyone. Thank you.
I absolutely love this thank you ladies for sharing. Both panels gave a lot of gems 😊

Well said Erica: “ sometimes it’s one sided” That’s the issue in my marriage 😌 I feel stuck. Not to leave, but to bring great improvement.
I Love to hear Erica talk
Y’all need to let Erica host this next time!
I like CEOs hair
This is inspiring thanks!
Destiny, the value you just added, we will never find anywhere else! You will always be the G.O.A.T.
I think Gillian and Micheal should write a book I love erica but I really was listening to Gillian and the lady in the red
Erica won't hush!! Let the others have a word please!
Genuinely Love Gillian!!! She is the same for years, very consistent with her personality. Represent fellow Bisonette. HU!

That’s good stuff. A single mindset in marriage is dangerous.
Excellent dialogue
😂 @ Erica, ‘he not gon kill ‘EM and they gon eat’. So much trust in that lol

This was an informative panel. Who is the one wearing the red married to. Was he on the man panel with Warren Campbel and Major.
No but they were in one of the last two or three seasons.
