Yes Major!!! Married people please share the truth, not the fairytales of marriage. But also the benefit of pushing through the hard part and getting to the other side. I'm soooo thankful for my married friends who have been honest with me about the good and the bad!
My take is managing yourself is challenging, you struggle with your own choices so when it's 2 people, it will be more challenging. That's just life, I don't undetstand why people think challenges mean you are not the right person.
Major nailed it with the honesty... I do see more couples sharing the truth nowadays... It helps both singles and other married couples...Best of luck to all three of these couples...
The couple that had a modern day arranged marriage are proving that love and commitment is a choice and that the warm fuzzies have very little to do with actually becoming one and doing life together…. This was really good
I’m so glad Karen shared the clip on her IG. Her and Miles are one of my top favorite MAFS couples. I’ve been wondering about them since Miles has taken a break from social media and fans of course speculate. I’m thrilled to see them in a good space and still going strong.
I remember that episode and I’m shocked to hear she stayed with Miles. She was not happy with him and I thought she was so mean to him. I’m so happy for them… my first and last episode of MAFS was this couple and the Miles best friend.
Yooo Karen snatched my whole soul, I remember them on married at 1st sight and hearing her heart now makes that whole experience on the show make sense. Love u guys, love, love ❤
I watch MAFS faithfully and if yall watched the season they were on you know they have come so far. To see Karen and Miles here today is AMAZING! BLESSINGS!
This was such a great episode and season!! I love that Chance is stepping out of his comfort zone and allowing God to work. He and Tab did a great job hosting the show. Congrats on another great season!!
What Major said about the church becoming more authentic and open on the reality of marriages, as a "churched" girl, it's everything! A whole woorrdddttt
Karen got me crying. 😢 "Very good" show. I am on year 28 of marriage and conversations with young couples reminds me of how it all started. Gotta keep it fresh.💍 So happy to see 3 black couples trying to navigate through this commitment
My husband and I have been married for 28 years this year. We only dated for six weeks. I would NEVER advise anyone to try that. It was really hard for me because I was 27 about to be 28 and he had just had just made 26. It took me a minute to learn to compromise. My husband's parents have been married for nearly 60 years. My parents divorced when I was three so we were from different worlds. The one thing he said to me when we got married was that we would be married forever. He has kept his word and here we are. If you communicate with one another in the very beginning, it's possible.
Wow the last part when Karen expressed why she and Miles bond is so strong was beautiful. To know this exist is wonderful. She likely didn’t know she needed a safe space to land and he gives her that. I was rooting for them on MAFS and I’m so happy to see they are still going strong.
Karen I love that you explained what you were feeling because the way you were shown on the show was a direct contrast. But I get it, you had your guard up because you couldn't tell what was real and what was "TV". My daughter and I enjoyed watching your follow up stories, we are so happy for you guys!!!
I LOOOOVED this episode. I adore Miles and Killa. People were so mean spirited and hated on her for NO REASON! I rooted for them and I’m glad they are thriving!!!
Thank God we have this show to counter all of the negative stereotypes about Black love. (cough, cough-Kevin Samuels/Fresh and Fit). I love Black men, have a Black man and a good one. Thank you for this:) Happy Valentine's Weekend everyone.
Karen, Miles, Amani and Woody are my favorite couples from MAFS. I'm so glad that Karen and Miles are doing good because I look forward to seeing them on you tube. Major and his wife are so sweet and I pray that all the couples including Chance and Tabitha which are my favorite couple from BL continue to keep God in their marriages. God Bless you all.
I wanted to hear more!!!!I love the setting. I am loving Tab's shirt dress, Skittles nail color, gorgeous hair and smile. Chance is that man who doesn't do small talk but when he speaks it's with thought.
I feel like this show is so needed for couples. We need to be able to have married friends who we can connect with and realize that this marriage stuff is nuanced.
This was so good!! I'm almost 3 years in with my husband. We were 6 months married when the Pandemic hit and it was tough! But with love, communication and much prayer our love continues to blossom, daily! My husband is my best friend. Blessings to you all ❤
Very good! ( in my Tab voice) Same thing for me- we were 7 months in when pandemic hit for my husband and I! Whew! that pandemic hit different, but we made it chile!!! Congrats on almost 3 years!!
I understand what Karen means about having anxiety. I’m the same way and I know for me it stemmed from childhood. Karen wasn’t one of my favs on MAFS because of how she was portrayed but I’m glad to see her and Miles still thriving. I think the right person brings it out of you and her concerns while she was on the show are definitely valid especially what it has turned into since their season ended.
I binge watched on the BL+ app and I loved each episode. The organic nature of each allowing the couples to share their story in their own way made the show….in my opinion. Tab and Chance are great hosts. What can’t she do?!?! She is definitely in her element and she did it with ease.
Great session. I’ve followed Karen and Myles and my husband and I rooted for them even when we as an outsiders didn’t understand Karen’s distance. So so happy Karen shared her experience. Many blessing for a lifetime of love.
I love seeing the new couples. (Especially Karen and Myles.) It's refreshing to see black men show vulnerability in a relationship. Very good Tab and Chance!
This was fantastic. My husband and I have been married 2 years. Together 7 years. It is so refreshing to see black couples speaking openly and honestly about marriage. I have learned a lot, still learning and still happy. Well done 👏🏾👏🏾
It’s not right to shack, but hopefully couples who have done so learned each other through that experience and hopefully it impacted their marriage for the better.
Absolutely love the bond Karen & Miles share. I watched their journey on MAFS. I’m moved and inspired. The vulnerability Miles showcases “coupled” with the warmth and acceptance Karen offers is just beautiful!! They are each other’s safe space 🙏🏾🙌 I rooted for them during the season of MAFS and when I tell you my spirit is so happy to see them still growing and glowing!!! Black love is magical!
I came here after watching "Tamara (Lynette) Tells" a YT blogger on all things MAFS. She posted an update on Miles & Karens divorce. It's so sad to see them interview this way then ultimately end their courtship. Really, really bummed out they couldn't make it work :(
Karen thanks for making me cry….I am a MAFS fan but thru this I see you!! God bless your journey and blessings in your marriage! This was incredible and needed! 3 different versions of marriage, it doesn’t all look the same but the end result is definitely the same!
Seeing Killa share her struggles with anxiety, made me like her more. When MAFS was filming, I started hopeful for them but was watching her shut him out and couldn't understand. I see why now and I'm glad they overcame.
I am praying for my forever person to find me. This was so good. Enjoyed listening to everyone. Major expresses himself well and makes us smile and his finding love. We need to see more of this.
I love this platform & appreciate you all for being so transparent. As my hubby & I closed approach our one year anniversary, we sit back all the time in awe over our growth & learning how to be married…I too battled depression & anxiety and tried so very hard to hide it from my husband, but when God brings you into alignment with your spouse, who is a mirror version on you, you can’t hide nothing lol.
Wow Karen got me over here crying and what not. I am so happy they found love. God bless Tabitha and her Hubby , and Major and his wife. And God bless Karen and Miles for a long life together t🙏🏽❤🔥
Karen truly blessed me tongt. Her vulnerability is refreshing and she made me realize just how anxiety works.. and many of us unfortunately have it. When I find myself over thinking and thinking if the what if that hasn't happened yet.. that is anxiety. God makes me aware and leads me to truth. What is real and what is fear based Then I'm able to pray and share my concerns to God and ask for the good I desire out of the outcome instead. Chosing me 1st isn't selfish, it's self care so like Tabatha said I can be enabled to give myself to others more effectively and keep some left in my tank once I'm done giving. So very inspired by these marriages. I pray they have All the best and stay married
I am LOVING THIS!!!!! YESSS! Such wisdom and gems from ALL the couples. Big thanks to you all 🙏🏾 Miles and Killa 🥰 I'm big on mental health, too, as someone with ADHD. The acceptance, patience, and understanding is crucial. We THRIVE under those conditions.
Wow! I'm a senior and I really enjoyed watching this. There's still some very positive things happening during these times. Couples expressing their experiences and love for each other. Some very funny moments as well 😂😂. Sending Love and Light to all.
I’m about to embark on 16 years of marriage. Throughout the early days marriage was a challenge after finding out we were going to be parents of TWINS in year 1. The various embs and flows has afforded us the opportunity to grow from independent individuals into a formidable team.
I love seeing how Myles and Karen have evolved. They’ve become such a beautiful couple. It’s also important to have healthy marital representation in your ⭕️…especially people like Tab & Chance….veterans 🙏🏽💕..
This is so beautiful to see everyone being vulnerable with each other. This is why it’s so important to open and being honest for everything to work together for the better good.
Crying 😭 😭😭 This was so beautiful! I appreciated the honesty, the vulnerability, and so much more. Karen and Miles had me crying at the end. How I would love to have a nourishing relationship with an emotionally healthy man. My God! Tabitha and Chance are the most amazing facilitators. They have just the right questions, tag team excellently, and their chemistry as a couple is powerful. Tab, you like my therapist right now 😀 Love you all 😍 Abundant Blessings to you!
I enjoyed this so much... & rooting for the couples too. I hope Major and Miles keep in touch, I can see Major being a big brother & true friend to Miles... they clicked like real family.
I loved this! Ditto Tabitha on having the honeymoon / newlywed season come around again as we grow and change as individuals. Karen and Miles.. I've been rooting for you since day one. So happy to see where you are now.
This was such a great conversation 🙂 I follow MAFS so to hear Karen explain what she just did about the anxiety [and how her family is] THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING we saw as we watched - NOT that an explanation was needed YET it made me really see that [in THAT MAFS process] they NEED to make counseling (individual) prior to 'I do' mandatory on that show
