Let me encourage you to continue with Latin studies. We don’t speak it but, it’ll help you the rest of your life. I took it in the 50s. Today in 2024, I was able to read a Latin phrase free handed. It also helps with history studies .
Wow he took Latin in 5th and/or 6th grade😮 and can actually speak it! That's pretty huge!!! I took it in 9th and 10th grade... it's the dead language, it's used alot in medical though. Very impressive young man. I definitely see leadership in him ❤.

Great episode so amazing to see your young man growing with an array of opportunities. These prep schools are great indeed, but Dad what you teach your son about life on and off the court is invaluable. Remember parents in all of these academic settings you have to advocate for your son more than you think. I love his course selections but he can take both spanish and latin also! You also make sure you supplement his classes with books and trips to museums and other cultural programs that emphasizes the great contributions of african people. A trip to ghana before high school helps to give him perspective or to luxor in egypt with a great tour guide to teach him the history of khemet . Howard Zinn has a great book a children's adaption of the "People's History of the United States". ALSO Bud the great professional athlete's had their dad as coaches ;bud please don"t forget!
