i bought one of these last week (spoked wheels ofc), and i'm amazed by the thing. i haven't been so excited about a new bike for a long time, i've been going out 3 times a day for the flimsiest of reasons. theres a few little things id change but they're so small its not worth mentioning. so far, i don't think ill be changing anything from stock.

Thanks, good sum up. I have a duke 390 which I really like riding but not sure if I like it’s looks, I really like the Svartpilen looks though and assume it rides similarly. I’ve only been riding 4 months but I love it, just for fun and the 390 is fun. All you’ve said just makes me want to move to the 401 over the 390 so thanks
I think the difference of the 401 with the Duke are gas tank capacity, tank size (you can grip your legs better), wider handlebars, wider seat, higher pillion seat 🙂both are fun, IMO it's better to keep your Duke, or if you can trade it in for a 401 with a cheap deal

It is still very manageable despite of the seat height, and not a dealbreaker 🙂

So quick question, I live in Vietnam so it might differ from the Philippines version, not too sure, but I heard that the Asian market doesn't have adjustable suspension, yet you mentioned you were able to change settings on the rear shock. (Noob rider btw still learning). So does it have adjustable suspension or not? haha
PH version has the adjustable spring preload in the rear shock 🙂

How's your experience with the RFID stickers on the front fender? Considering making a mini visor specifically as an RFID holder, but I didn't know you could stick it directly lol
RFID is still intact, make sure not to spray it directly while washing.

sir. have you experienced any issues with the bike so far?
Other than the tight clutch cable/lever which causes engine stalling on my 401's 1st week, and rarely having quickshifter issues probably due to mis-shifts/wrong shift timing, no major issues so far!
how come your svartpilen 401 does not have spoke wheels and instead has cast wheels? All of the 401 s I've saw has spoke wheels.

Stock cast wheels for the PH release, probably to lower the SRP of the bike. They also hiked the price +30k PHP just last month 🙃

Hmm I think pwede naman, pero baka pricey, di ko sure kung pasok ba yung mga generic clip-ons. Kung trip mo clip-ons, go for Vit, though wala nga lang 200cc nun...

Rust = bleach + water + kuskos, umaayos naman. Pwede din metal polish, anti-oxidation, etc.

You can apply VHT spray paint on ur pipe to protect the metal

@@ajprawns after warranty period sir. More or less magkano kaya magmaintain ng 400cc bike. Im planning to get svart din kc. Pro napapicp ako baka mabgat mag maintain hehe
@@cxg9092 hmm, I'm assuming oil filter + change oil + spark plug lang naman before 20k km mileage. Around 2k siguro if DIY.

All good, no major issues running @15k km - aside from the clutch cable (too tight, cauese engine to stop), chain (usage), tank drain hose. Will eventually post a maintenance/ownership update 😉

Since commuting and traffic here in the PH is very problematic, it is better to ride a 2-wheel than a 4-wheel, then she just fell in love with it. Also breaking the stigma that 2 wheels are unsafe by continuous learning and proper riding skills + wearing proper safety gears always 😉

29.4 KM/L (consumption) X 9.5 L (tank capacity) = 279.3 KM/9.5 L (full tank) 😉

@@JaeBong26 uy nice! Bago lang ang husky, pero isa sa mga kinonsider ko is may local plant sila dito, under KTM, dadami din pyesa eventually. Wala naman din perfect bike, tsaka looking at the quality, hindi ko din naman ineexpect na palitin yung mga parts 😉

mejo hate ko lang yung tank capacity. mas madalas ako magpagas kesa sa mga kasama ko sa rides. sana 12Li man lang yung tank. apart from that, ayos naman sya. mahal lang ng pyesa sa ngayon
Agree! Design > tank capacity daw eh, mapapagas ka talaga lalo na pag walwalan 😅 given naman na sa mga european bikes/cars na medyo kamahalan ang pyesa, pero quality naman eh, wag lang sesemplang para wala palitan 😉
@@ajprawns nagtanong nga ako magkano yung usb power cable, p3,500. tapos yung windscreen p13,000. nung nasira ko abs sensor cable sa likod p6,000. kaya ingat ingat talaga. haha
