I love Huskies. They take KTM's amazing bikes and make them not hideous. Husky's styling is so good looking. I just wish they had some 1301 Svartpilens and Nordens on offer.
Svart 901 coming at least, but won't be surprised if a husky super duke happens eventually
Idk what your talking about but ktm bikes look awesome
KTMs look handsome
@@BIGBigBoiNICKI think the orange and very sharp angled fairings make them look like toy hot wheels bikes.
@Chevsilverado who doesnt like hot wheels?
Yammie, you are at least 75% of the reason I picked up my 401. I swear you must be responsible for the the soul reason it took my 3 months of looking to find one in stock and purchase sight unseen. I appreciate you for introducing me to these beautiful things!!!!
same here, i just got myself one two days ago. now all i need is to practice how not to end up hitting trees. :D
I started watching Yammie around 3 years ago and finally i am old enough to drive middle class bikes (up to 35kw), I can't wait until i get my license and get to be able to (legally) drive a bike. I am so excited, your videos definitely pulled me trough those years of waiting
I have a Husqvarna Nuda 900r and it is an amazing bike. I really hope they revive it and make a new one because it's definitely one of the best looking bikes ever made. Maybe revive it with a KTM 890 motor or something 😍
Completed 27k kms on my 21' Svartpilen 250, Still puts a smile on my face
Any issues so far?
I can walk more with no issues bro....
@@kruiseorbruise No issues at all, Just maintained it as per the scheduled service intervals, with the regular oil changes etc, The only things that I changed were the chain sprockets at 18k Kilometres interval and the tyres at 22k Kilometres.
Happy and proud svartpilen 250 owner... ❤❤ Two years on and I still live the bike as I did on day one..
The fact the company has been around some way or another, since the 1600s is absolutely beautiful!
Just want to thankyou for all your great content.
Im due for some major surgery this week and its pushed me to make the decision to finally get a bike.
And thanks to you I'll definitely be getting a Huskie 401, beautiful looking machine.
I bought the Vit last year and had the dealer swap the Svart bars on for me. I moved to Europe and brought it with me. Awesome riding!
Good job explaining the history of Husqvarna.
I bought a brand new 23 Svartpilen this past Saturday because of your videos. It's my first bike and I love it!
got my vitpilen 401 about a month ago and i couldnt be happier. its light, its nimble and i just cannot stop looking at it. rides like a dream. im in love.
Yammie you're right about expecting a check from husky bc you're the reason i bought svartpilen 401 😂 I believe many ppl bought bc of you and I thank you!
I've been riding for almost 15 years and this is the most fun and good looking bike I've ever had. Aggressive enough to entertain, talented enough to go off road, can cruise on highway with luggage and passenger. I mean it's just great.
I have never ridden off road before I bought this bike and the first time I jumped on it to make off road I was so comfortable I even started doing slides jumps in 10 mins.
overall I love the brand and my next bike will be a vitpilen 901 when they make one.
Vitpilen 701 owner here....i missed the exhaust note of my old bikes so i went motorcycle shopping recently. Sorry but nothing beats my 701 vit in terms of specs, for the price.
- fully adjustable suspension
- hydraulic clutch
- quickshifter and autoblipper
- flickable like a bicycle
- 0-60mph in 3.2secs (stock)
Every time i stop for gas, strangers come and ask about it. Never happened with my ducati monster 1100 evo with custom paint job and clear clutch cover or with my (cad) 8,000$ worth of mods fz-09..so yea can't beat the specs nor the fun for the price, i have zero regrets and i'm keeping it.
It's a shame they stopped making them. The 401 is a bit limited, but the 701 is perfect imo. Better in looks, speed and size.
The name Husqvarna is the name of the town in Sweden where the company originated. The name translates to house-mill . (hus-kvarna). The logo has the symbol to the swedish three crowns, since the was a royal arms factory in the beginning
The logo has nothing to do with Three Crowns.
It is a set of sights viewed from the end of a barrel.
It was the kingdom's armory factory so it has everything to do with the crown, the symbol of the kingdom. The symbol of the crown looks like a gunsight @@Peter-ff1tp
No it's the sight of a rifle, not a thing to do with royals and crowns
The main benefit of most of Husqvarna's (with a Swedish pronunciation) lineup for mass scale city bikes, is that they simply offer the most desirable package for the money within international license restrictions (35kw / 48hp). KTM with the platform already delivers great performance for the segment, and Husqvarna matches a style and material selection that actually makes the pricetag make sense.
Seeing them finally move into the higher end segment with the KTM 890 platform is great.
I’d honestly love to see like a husqvarna named bike or rocket. Something like the Ktm 890 would be sweet. I just want it for the yellow blue and white color combo lol. Idk why but it looks so damn good haha
the Vitpilen 701 was already in the high end .. more than the 901
(except screen)
I just got a 2023 Vitpilen 401 today. The features and price are unbeatable.
I want a Husqvarna. I think they are beautiful. I am trying to save money for years but every time something comes up and I have to go into my motorcycle pot
As an American with a Swedish wife she keeps telling me how to say Husqvarna correctly. She says "There is no 'a' after the 'q'. It's pronounced Hoosk-varna."
She took me to the town of Huskvarna, Sweden where they have an awesome museum! Great brand with a long and storied history which your video does a very good job of telling. Congrats! 😁
Love Huskys! They have always been a brand that have had a unique look, style and quality.
I have a highly modified Husqvarna Svartpilen 701, and I’m lovin’ it
Couldn’t be happier with my Vitpilen 250.
Threw a performance air filter, iridium spark plugs and she rides like a dream. Plenty of power with just a flick.
Being a cafe racer it’s surely uncomfortable but the fun and the road presence makes up for that 💙💙💙
Love it when ya go back n give some history and break down on vehicles! FOLLOW on Jay Leno's style n ya can't go wrong!!
You insipired me to find and buy my 2022 Svart 401. I LOVE it. It's my third bike, but should have been my first.
What a beautiful video! Thanks for making this :)
Hälsningar från Sverige!
I love my Vitpilen 401, it's loads of fun on winding country roads.
You single-handedly inspired me to hunt down and purchase a Svartpilen 401 as a first bike and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks DaddyNoob
I am about to buy the Norden 901 Expedition, what a great bike to ride and look at, its low weight makes it handle really well. thanks for the video yammienoob Nice as always
Your right about selling Svartpilen 401s. Your recommendation made Me look into them and buy one. I love it and get tons of compliments
As a lifetime Husky owner, I'd like to say this video was really well made. I really enjoyed the back story to the company. All the facts were really well presented. I'm looking forward to the Vit 901, i thought my 2020 701 was the last.
Own a 2020 Svartpilen 401 and it has a special place in my heart
Big miss was Jason Anderson’s Supercross Championship in the premier 450sx class in 2018. This was huge for Husqvarna.
Sold me on Svartpilen 100% - and thanks for that
I had a Nuda 900 from new, fab bike!
I can officially say that the 701 supermoto is the new bike of my dreams.
Svart-pilen, Hvit-pilen. Pilen = (the) arrow. Svart=black. Hvit=white.
Owned a couple of them and they’re great and super dependable
I can't wait for the Vit/Svartpilen 901. The Vit/Svartpilen 701 were so beautiful (despite my dislike of the exhaust note)
for the 701 pilen there was the exhaust from Bad Winners or Competition Werks.
And the 901 will never have the same rigidity of chassis or the same lightness / agility
I find Husqvarna actually a better value with a few up spec components than Ktm
Not so much with the dirtbike lineup tho since 2023 new gen, although the pricing isn't as different but still no real added value unless you want linkage in an enduro spec (but then just save and get GG)
Looking forward to the possible Svart/Vit 901
Love my Vit 401!
+1 Svart sold, to me. Just got back from a ride. Still SO good after 20,000 kms
Just got one, loving the bike. Hating the mirrors
I love this Motorcycle History content. Any chance you can do a review on "Hybrid Bike/Car" like the Slingshot and CanAms?
LOVE my 2020 svart 401
Riden r1s fireblades gsxr1000s and have an mt10sp at the mo.but my 401 svartpilen makes me smile more than all of them. Im 48 but when im on that im back on a bmx in the early 80s and the road is my track.
My first bike was the ‘21 husky vitpilen 401. Husky, send a check to Yammie!
Really cool desing
The Svartpilen made it to my last 2 on the list of my beginner bikes. I decided on the Triumph Trident 660 because I fancied that engine and its noise. My dream starter bike would have had the looks of the Svart with the engine of the Triumph.
man I would go with the trident but in the UK insurance is a fucking scam…
£3000 annual for a £5000 value bike
I Chose the Svartpilen 701 style, because it’s unique and I love the torque
@@Rainan-hi8ds nice bike, but the 701 was discontinued at my time of purchase, April 2023, otherwise........
the svartpilen engine is infinitely more fun, and with a real exhaust line the sound is addictive.
(the 3 cylinder too, but the basic chassis of the trident doesn't make me want to, I prefer the street 660 that one of my friends has)
Huskies and KTM have major stake of Bajaj so these three companies share almost same components like Bajaj 's Dominar 250 and 400 ,KTM Duke 250 and 390 and Huskies both bikes have exact same engine ,and various other parts
Good job and good video 👍
Unfortunately, I had to deal with a lemon Svartpilen 401. A nightmare to deal with. I tapped out after a year spent at the dealer instead of using the actual bike.
A shame because my old Husky chainsaw bought in the 80s by my Grandpa will just not die.
Different companies. Their chainsaws are still great 👍
Dude i absolutely love how you try to pronounce those names with a bit of humour lmao.
love husky. Dad has a nuda 900r and it really is mental!
I want a Nuda 900 based on the new KTM SMT 890. That's all.
Yes please
Yesssss I hope they revive the Nuda one day. It's such a good looking bike
The Svartpilen 401 is a great looking beginner bike! I was so excited to go buy one but realized it is NOT for tall riders lol
The bump on the tank gets in the way of my legs and wasn’t comfortable to ride. Looked cool though!
I’m 6 foot 2 with long legs and I don’t find the bike uncomfortable
@@Chevsilverado6’ 4” here, just a couple inches shorter would clear that tank no problem but maybe not with riding pants w/knee protection.
Yea to me as 190 it's not just fitting on the bike, it's also that the bike just feels physically small. The 890 Svart / Vitpilen that are being tested rn look to be very promising alternatives though!
Have you found any rearsets to help with this issue?
I'm 6'5" and although the bike isn't uncomfortable for me at all. I look like a giant on the bike. I think a cruiser style bike is in my near future
now I know why the new RE 450 roadster looked so familiar. It looks so similar to husqvarna
KTM also tried making mountain bikes including a high end downhill racing bike. They were mostly known for not riding well and frames breaking.
ktm always made bicycles but the motorcycle and bike devisions split into two different company in the 90s when ktm was bankrupt. ktm bicycles is not going anywhere.
the sound of the NUDA 900R!!!!!!!! thx for helpin me find it..
The U is (almost) pronounced as in “clues” in Swedish for those wondering.
Thanks for the lesson Yammie!
I had a late 80's husqy wr250e best open country fast bike I've ridden!! Now I own a Saab and that Swede of mine keeps on chugging
I've got the 250cc version of the Svartpilen here in India. The main reason I got it is because it was cheaper than a duke but with the same engine 😂
Fantastic learner bikes ... I bought a Vitpilen when returning to riding after several decades. So light & easy to handle ... and a lot better looking than their KTM cousins. Might buy a Svartpilen to go with my Triumph Thruxton R for some low-risk skill upgrading plus the occasional dirt track adventure.
Loving my 2007 sm610. Wish it was a ktm era model for easier and cheaper parts availability.
Still waiting on that great looking E-Pilen.
months too, to ride in style in Switzerland without the risk of suffering the death penalty, that would be good 😅
(I have a 690 stage 2 full tube)
I love the svart! 😅 my friend has the 650 and I'll ride it any time he let's me 😂
i have two husqvarnas at home "waffle-makers" :) good sturdy old iron ones, not the plastic ones that melt after third waffle
waiting for the Arrow 901 and the E Arrow ( electric bike from them) now in 2023
caught that "executive" dig.
Failed to mention the Vitpilen 901 which will use the ktm 890 and the rumoured Nuda 901. The nuda 900 was a beautiful bike still kicking myself for not buying one when I had the chance. ( parts are impossible to find)
Husqvarna has been a long time favorite of mine along with KTM., (obviously KTM because that's what I ride in both quad and supermoto). Their dual sport bikes have been so tempting my wallet is smoking.
Would be cool to see a 701 review
those 250 401 and 701 where being sell in argentina since 2011...
Ha ha ha, those names, those names! After you made it through those names with some breath in your lungs I have accepted your pronunciation of Hus****na good job by the way👍👍👍👍
The Bajaj which owns majority in ktm n husqui have always been doing this swaping ktm engines and pretty much focusing on KTM alone
I have brand loyalty with my chainsaws and motorcycles.
ASV warranty is AMAZING. I lowsided my bike and scuffed my levers.... They replaced them for free
I appreciate history lesson!
Dont forget they make some of the greatest 2strokes that are street legal so that would be nice to point out
What has been keeping me from buying a husky is their QC. They look great and the spec sheet is impressive but they still have a good amount of issues which has consistently put me off from buying one
It's just the typical KTM issues. The 701 is rock solid with the 690 engine. If anything is going to hold you back it's the total lack of local dealers if you do have any issues.
my 690 has 66000 km and no mechanical problems... until some electrical problems.
But at the "time" (Adventure 1190 electronics) the relatively independent sound system, I can unplug the meter or even see the throttle body that it will still start.
Husqvarna has a fantastic museum in Sweden 👍🏻
I knew this wasn't Bob Odenkirk when he kept saying "mooter-cycle."
My Vitpilen is the easiest purchase I ever made... love that bike.❤
I love my Vitpilen!
Their tools are good.
Husk varna. I am ready for one as a back up bike. Wondering if its just as decent as the CF Moto is to
KTM.
Huskies are AWESOME!!!.
Alaways made beautiful machines.....
I freakin love my 610. I just cant get rid of it.
love my Svartpilen, no regrets
Just approach the Vs like Lundqvist as a U. Makes it easier
Yammie!!!
I'm a newbie w a 401...Svart...
What's YOU'RE suggestion for a good sound/exhaust???
You have a responsibility to us, squids, who bought a Husqy because of your videos about it. Please make a video with regards to modding, accessories and/or maintenance of Svartpilen and Vitpilen. Please! I can't find a good video on youtube about these stuffs. Hoping you consider it. TIA
Looking to get into a Svartpilen. How are they on reliability and repair costs?
I like i to test out the 401 to take a trip to Guatemala.
Like, even if it is just a style difference, that alone makes me prefer it to the garish, flashy colors on KTM bikes.
Waiting for E-Pilen
You're prounincing the "u" too quickly. They way you say it we would spell Hussqvarna. But only one "s" so make the "u" longer.
The "q" is indeed a k-sound like you say it. But then you go up on the "v" when you should go down instead.
Haha, nice video!
I used to work at the R&D center, it is "Who"-"Skvarna". Plenty of Swedes around to figure it out back then. haha!
@@nickmcalpin10 hmmm. Im from Sweden and "Hu" in Husqvarna is not prounanced like "who" in english.
But I also see what your saying, not completely off.
*CORRECTION* The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 🏍️ in North America comes with the same Spoked Wheels as The Svartpilen 😮. NOT CAST WHEELS like in India.
Hey uncle yam I got a buddy who rides with no endorsement knows about 20% of what I've learned from just your vids alone but swears up and down the msf class is 100% useless, any tips on helping him see the light?(recently joined the yammily btw best subscription icould have done)
Do ASV ship in India too? I've been looking for a more .....stylish looking replacement for my 2022 RC 390 break and clutch levers.
Make the 701 again...but affordable. That is all I came to say.
given the quality of the engine/chassis.
I would say quite the opposite.
that he does the best so that nothing has changed on it except the exhaust line and the map
(for affordable prices, there is the second-hand market)
