I think I said 1/4 inch for the icon shank,I meant 3/8, and yes the Wilde are 1/2 shank, sorry for the miscue!!
I clicked on it to give a message, you found your mistake
Giveaways, cool, don’t care. I want comparisons and thank you for them.
Nice to hear you don't watch my channel just to win tools!! And yes I make lots a videos where I compare one brand against another!! Thanks for watching!!
They make versions of these for Menards, Craftsman when they were selling USA tools still. The tekton set, The Hyper Toughs over at Walmart,As well as channel lock, All made by Wilde, Such a great affordable USA tool company, One company we should support! thanks jeff, as usual a great upload
Yes sir david!! wilde a great co. we all should buy more USA tools!!! thats why i doing this USA series!!! thanks david!!
I use the Hyper Tough verson of theese. They are.great prybars.
Hi john yes Hyper Tough is rebraned Wilde!!! very nice as well!!! thanks john!!
Yep mine are all red by not too long ago they went to black handles.
After buying all the red ones under the Hyper Tough name, I learned that Lang rebrands them as well and that I could have gotten orange handles.
Then again I also love Channellock blue, so I'm a bit torn.
The Hyper Tough ones are made by Wilde. I have up to the 36 inch one. Haven't let me down yet.
@@chrisoller3097
Yep, and you can get 4 sizes for the price of this 3pc set.
However with how common these are you just gotta shop around and might find a variant available for even less.
I have seen these wilde bars rebranded by Craftsman, lang, masterforce, tekton and channel lock. There maybe other's that rebrand them too. Wilde has some nice pliers also. I love the flush fastener pliers
Very, very good pry bars made in Hiawatha, Kansas!! Thanks Jeff!!
Thanks for joining in my friend!!!
Wilde tools make some great USA Made tools. They also oem for others. I like their flush mount fastner series
Yea there a great brand,no doubt!!! thanks for joining in my friend!!

I love those pry bars I have some of the Wilde and some of the Master force from Menards. I would definitely purchase them again if I needed to. One nice thing about them is you can just about find them in any color you want. Wilde makes some good USA tools for a good price my friend.
Hi joe thanks for sharing your thoughts on pry bars!!!
Ah yeah the good ole wilde pry bars. My favorite! Also rebranded by alot of companies.
Hi josh,go USA!! there more coming!! thanks my friend!!!
I have the Tekton and hyper tough versions. Durable, USA made, affordable, can’t go wrong.
Yes sir all good brands!!! thanks for checking in!!
Pry bars are one of the most handy tools to get a job done , temp up to 108 today thanks again Jeff
108 holey sh#t!!!! thanks tank for checking in!!!!
@@jefftovani5535 hay there Jeff , well only getting to 104 for the high , my boy picked up an old Cornwell top and bottom tool box in almost new shape for $ 20.00 it has the little Cornwell man stamp on the Handel's its not a big set but well needed at this time we have been collecting what tools that are in the equipment and trucks and buying a couple sockets sets that were on clearance at Auto zone the tweekers stole about every thing we had and my Sprit was getting very low then you popped up on my U tube and gave me hope for getting started again ,l would have to live a another 100 years to get all the tools back ,but l sure would know what tools not to buy, HA Ha Thanks as always Jeff. TANK
These remind me of my Lang Tools USA set of scrapers. Very similar handle and real striking caps. I've been super pleased with them and they have a variety of uses outside of just automotive.
Lang makes some good tools,no doubt!!! thanks for joining in my friend!!
Jeff's garage adventures.. I just bought the Mayhew Dominator 31" straight pry bar. Mayhew is made in the USA too. I gave my son my Snap-on 36" pry bar when he started his new job 2 years ago and I'm just now getting around to replacing it. I wish I could find a 36" one or maybe a 48".
Mayhew is another great USA pry bar,no doubt!!! thanks my friend for joining in!!!!
Thanks for putting another great USA made company on my radar! Love to see it!
Hi speedy im having fun with this series!!! i have more to show you!! lots of good USA tools!!!!! thanks for joining in!!!
Great show keep em coming!!!
Thanks charles!!
100% agree I have the same pry bars I have the bigger guys as well love those pry bars have taken a beating
Thanks for joining in my friend!!!
I like when they add a striking plate
Same here terry!!! they can take a beating!!! thanks my friend!!
I won a set of 3 Channellock pry bars in a $2 raffle. They work great!
I love the color of the channellock version!!! thanks Electro for checking in!!!
Love seeing usa made products. I think Wilde also makes the Usa made pry bars that walmart carries. They look the same
Yea they make them for many co!! great pry bars, they can take a beating!!! thanks Impactrated!!!
I have the old craftsman prybar set. They are good, but no striking cap. I also have the Milwaukee set that isn't bad. I finally spent the money and got the snap on set. I'm probably set with pry bars. I find I use the smaller ones the most. I have long bars that are way more rugged than most automotive pry bars, so the longer ones are not used as much. I also find that I use the mini pry bars a ton.
Thanks tom for joining in and sharing your thoughts on pry bars!!!
I have a 5 piece set, love them. Definitely pro quality. Word of advice, don't use carb cleaner on them. It takes the paint off.
Thanks Ron for the advice!!stay tuned for more USA !!!!!!
Great looking pry bars. I wasn't familiar with the Wilde brand until you showed something the other day. Thanks Jeff
Its a great USA brand!!! thanks mike for checking in!!!
Awesome pry bars ! One time I was walking through my carwash and found a nice snap on pry bar that fell out of someone's truck. After no one claimed it, I ended up taking it home with me lol score!
hi guse that has happen to me,someone left a snap on wrench in my truck engine bay doinig warranty work on a recall!!! thanks for sharing!!
@@jefftovani5535 a mechanic from the previous owner of my truck left a ratcheting 14mm snap on wrench in the truck, I just recently found it lol
I bought the 7 piece set. They're awesome 👍
Thanks for sharing that with the channel my friend!! stay tuned, thanks!!
I got the Channel Lock version from Wilde. The handles are sturdy and comfortable for my large hands. I liked the 3 peice set so much that I've been adding all the larger sizes, plus the smallest size that doesn't come with the basic set. Wilde makes these for quite a few different companies. I've learned that if you love to work on stuff, you can never have enough different kinds of prybars.
Hi shadow i have the channellock USA pry bars!! love the blue!!! its all about options, your rite shadow!!! thanks for joining in!!!
I have the Tekton version..excellent Jeffery 👍
Yes sir wilde makes pry bars for many brands!! thanks boosted!!!
Wilde also made the Craftsman versions of these and you pointed out. I have several sets of them and they are USA made. You could get them on sale for maybe $25 on sale at Sears around 2019 or so for a three-piece set.. They will have a "P" maker's mark on them.
I think Mayhew made some Craftsmans in the past. I like to see some of your vintage USA made Craftsman up close and in more depth.
Yea we can do some old usa craftsman!!! thanks for the feedback!!!
@@jefftovani5535 My neighbor just brought over five tote bags full of old tools. In there were a few Craftsman, other USA made tools and the crown jewel---a 10WR Petersen-Dewitt made Vise Grip from the 1950s/1960s still in the original box.
Great to see made in usa tools.
This should be a great series!!! thanks for checking in my friend!!
They are the best & no hassle warranty from Wilde Made in USA I have 4 of this set
Those are nice! I like the striking caps. Take care Jeff
Yea the striking caps real beef them up!!! thanks jerhro!!!
Can’t live without a pry bar, I have a set that is orange handled and the names are rubbed off, but couldn’t have done it without them
Hi marc your exactly rite!!!thanks my good friend as always!!!
I have some craftsman that look like them. I liked the older matco pry bar with the big handle but the best feeling in my hand is the Snap-on
Never tried the snap on,they got green handles rite?
@@jefftovani5535 the one's I have are black handles and the only reason I bought them is because they were repossessed and a good deal like 50 dollars for a 4 piece set
Snap-On changed the handle style for striking hand protection??? Snap-On have come in many handle colors. I own 3 colors. My sets transition over 3 handle styles. I purchased a MATCO to get a longer pry bar than my Snap-On sets. It is fine, but I don't think that it is quite the quality of the Snap-On The current Snap-On style consumes too much drawer space for my liking. Mayhew may be a viable pry bar option if you want a budget friendly professional tools, but I haven't tried them. They look a lot like the Wilde. I used PROTO for many years without the plastic handle. The line up pin end gave some multifunctionality. They are very nice and this style consumes the least tool chest drawers space. If you like this style, I suggest PROTO over Snap-On. I have both, PROTO shape is more ergonomic. I like the PROTO rocker foot style over Snap-On for the same reason. PROTO line up pins are long and slender, and that shape is more ergonomic than all the other brands that I own while not compromising strength.
Summary: Snap-On is hard to beat for plastic handle pry bars, but pricey. PROTO is very nice for all steel versions. Matco and MAC are viable high end brands, but substandard to Snap-On.
Wilde and Mayhew look reasonable if you are budget driven. I own striking and non striking versions and I have never been tempted to strike a pry bar. I use chisels that I think are better designed for that purpose.
Mayhew and Wilde look enough alike that I wonder if they have common sources. I bought out a Mayhew salesman's sample inventory for gifts. I kept some for myself (roll pin punches and a roll of cold chisels and punches). These are not top notch, but still are very acceptable professional quality.
Bar none no pun! Cheers Jeff!
hi Rob i thought that was a catchey title, lol!!! thanks my friend!!
Wilde makes good stuff.
USA for the win!!! thanks Starship!!!
I have the craftsman version of these as they were all clearance at sears. I like that you can get the big 36" at walmart for the cheapest and tekton seems to be the most expensive. Wilde did right by rebranding to everyone as you get more price and color options for the same tool
Yes sir my friend, wilde did a fantastic job with there pry bars!!! thanks hachi for joining in!!!
i mainly use old kobalt ones, and have one craftsman professional and hyper tough (wilde). definitely would get a full set made by them when i need to.

Meyhew is another fantastic brand!!! thanks sanchoc!!
Really nice set 👍👍
Thanks harry!!!
I have the cheap Harbor Freight and so far I have not been able to bend them, but the Wilde look nice and the USA brand a huge plus.
HF will get the job done! being a USA made series were going to have some good top brands!! some stuff will be pricey, but thats expected!!thanks my friend!!!
@@jefftovani5535 Get the job done vs American made at a higher price can be a hard decision. On a tool that is used often the extra cost and pride many times makes sense... A pry bar for me does not fit that category. I truly do appreciate all you do. Having alternatives and choices is amazing.
Good lookin bar. Got a new set of tekton not long ago and really like them. Good video Jeff. Keep em comin
Hi james those Tekton are made by wilde also!! thanks james as always!!

Hyper tough has the same ones at Walmart also made in usa
Yes sir marko!!!! thanks for checking in!!!
Yep, they're rebranded Wilde's.
Can be aqired Walmart under hyper tough but they also have them in Chinese made look at package when you buy they are a lot nicer than the newer style of Snap On I hate the handle of snap on ones now that why I tried others and Wilde hold up just as good
Thanks larry for sharing your take on pry bars!!!
The current price of $51.96 on Amazon is an excellent value for U.S.A. made pry bar set.
